Dont know if anyone else feels this way but the way that Seal Stones are distributed sucks imo. We have had people in 9man groups farm for 6+ hours and always one person in the group gets totally screwed on Seal Stones. What my suggestion would be was to make the Seal Stones just like the Adena that it splits evenly upon pickup. We have recently decided to put it on possesion of looter and have one person loot all and split after xp seesion but this is way too slow and really not very fair when it comes to the rest of the drops. I honestly think that if the Stones were like Adena it would be far more fair in alot of peoples mind.
/agreed. Have you ever tried it on random? That is hilarious, you end up seeing 3 drops in a row going to one person, 2 drops going to another. The randomization is all screwed up. So, yes, I think it should be treated like adena, and shared. I always end up with a ton of green, while another gets all the red ones.
Have to agree here, it's rare that the seal stones come out even. Most mobs don't drop a fair distribution of 3 sets either (such as one mob can drop 500 green seal stones...and 17 reds) so that even when both people are getting stones one is getting shortchanged. Seal stones also completely disrupt the distribution of normal material drops from mobs.
i dont know if its a bug in the drop table but the high lvl mobs drop like 1k green = 5kaa, and 30 red = 300aa
the drop amount of these red stone, who are supposed to be ther rare variant is not much higher then on low lvl mobs totally screwing the player that got the red ones.
oh and yes splitting them like normal adena seems the fairest system to me because right now i feel pretty ripped of when i come out of a 2h grind with 100 red and 20 animal skin
What is the deal wih the blue seal stones? In a 50-60 dungoen, the average drop will look like 20-30 red (200-300 AA), 500-800 (2500-4000 AA) green, and like 20-40 (60-120 AA) blue. Whoever gets the blue stones are always screwed. Could you make it more like 90 (900 AA) or so red, 180 (900 AA) green, and 300 (900 AA) blue... that way the AA drop rate is spread out over the three colour seals.
I can explain why red actually seem to drop less and the less the higher the necro. The reason is that they count for 10 times the normal amount of seal stones in points, making them a big part of the final score.
By making the lower necros drop a large amount of reds and reducing the amount the higher you get, it allows all characters of all level ranges to have an impact on the seal stone score for their side. At the same time having blues and particularly greens increase in number they allow the high levels to get much more AA without having them completely control the scoring.
The design is brilliant really, but the fact that seal stones are not treated the same as adena drops really messes up party play.
I dont think it would be that big of a deal to do but I guess the Koreans would have to have the same complaint for it to acutally make it in our game.
The distribution definitely needs to be fixed; blue should drop in the highest quantity, followed by green then red. Whenever I see "you pick up 9 blue stones," I think to myself "man, getting 1 thread off this lv60 mob would be sweet right now." :p
As for even drop sharing of the stones, I'm indifferent; even as someone usually stuck with the low blue and red drops. :D
agreed porthios, its annoying to get like 15 reds or 11 blues when someone picks up 983 greens...also its even worse when people basically drop-**** and rig the drops for themselves if its by turn (which is most fair)
strange that your having problems with this i usually get 256 red and 500 or so blue the only thing i don't understand is why i get so many reds and no greens when red is better then green.
yeah, this thread seems to be going very well, seems like everyone agrees stones should be split like adena, keep the thread alive! maybe NC will consider this... if they look at it
I really think it's best not to fixate on the loot in groups. It will all eventually even out, but the way the mind works, everyone notices what they don't get more salient than what they do get.
But as far as seal stones getting split by number rather than each stack going to a single, why stop with seal stones? If you get, say, 5 iron ores, why send them in a clump to just one person when you could go one by one ore to each person (by turn or by random). That would ensure a more uniform distribution of the wealth. It would also prevent the petty accusations of drop-hacking and would severely complicate the drop-hackers, if they really do exist.
Call this new plunder option "uniform"

May be you right, I think i need to make a statistic on it next time i will hunt in a necro/cata. It realy feels like people (me especialy, lol) get screwed on theat system.
Use by turn includieng Spoil I can be in a 9 person group for 4+ hrs and all get and even number of seal stone (according to how much they are worth) Ex: one person gets 9K blue seals, 2K red and 4K green... 2nd get 4K blue, 4K red, 3K green.. 3rd gets 5K blue, 3k red and 7K green... so on and so forth... yeah you may say that person 2 got jipped on seal stones but you have to remeber what each seal is worth Red>Green>Blue.... I can see if one person outof the party didnt get any seals or one person got all the seals but if you have it set on By turn or by turn including Spoil everyone should get some seal stones
again some "not real prob stooping"...
we are 2 buddie, there 51 seal stone that we get, who have 25 and who have 26 ?
simple, according to the loot type (turn, finder keeper, random) the "1 seal stone that cannot be divided" will be given to "by turn, finder keeper, random..."
