I have put together this list of prices for all the items from the Merchant of Mammon. He spawns at random in the Necropoleis. He never spawns in the Catacombs, as this is where the Blacksmith of Mammon spawns.
All products are purchased with Ancient Adena (referred to as AA from her onwards) and Blank Scrolls (referred to as scrolls from here onwards).
To farm AA you simply have to hunt in the various Catacombs and Necropoleis. You will recieve Blue, Green and Red Seal Stones as drops from all monsters in those dungeons. Speak to the dusk/dawn NPC in town to find out how to convert those to AA.
To acquire scrolls take the quest from the gatekeeper in the Catacombs and Necropoleis. You will then recieve magic scrolls from selected mobs, which you can trade for scrolls.
B Grade
Armour Enchant Scroll - 80,000 AA, 160 scrolls.
Weapon Enchant Scroll - Not purchasable.
A Grade
Armour Enchant Scroll - 240,000 AA, 480 scrolls.
Weapon Enchant Scroll - Not purchasable.
Crafting Components
A Grade Gemstones - 30,000 AA each.
A Grade Crystals - 15,000 AA each.
Please note that both A grade gemstones and A grade crystals may be purchased singly, or in stacks of 10 or 100. Prices increase logically.
Lesser Degree Dyes
Please note that if you wish to apply a tatoo after the completion of your second class transfer you must not use these lesser dyes. Only High Degree dyes will work after level 40 and completion of your quest.
Any +1 -1 dye - 42,000 AA.
High Degree Dyes
These dyes can only be used after the completion of your second class transfer (after level 40).
Any +1 -1 dye - 60,000 AA.
Any +2 -2 dye - 72,000 AA.
Any +3 -3 dye - 108,000 AA.
Any +4 -4 dye - 174,000 AA.
Miscellaneous
Blessed Scroll of Escape - 150,000 AA.
If you find any errors please post them up quickly before the Edit time expires.
To upgrade your weapon costs 120% of the difference in values (NPC price) between the weapons in adena, but you pay in AA. So if the difference is 100,000 A, you pay 120,000 AA. It costs 480k AA to upgrade from a top NPC D Grade weapon to a top craft only D weapon (I upgraded my alts dagger to a Mithril dagger last night).
Nice, thank you :) I have yet to run into the trader, mainly because I didn't have enough AA but now I can plan out my purchase before I go on a wild goose chase.
I wonder, does the ELS exchange for any sword and can I upgrade it to anything? I do have a +4 one now so I would need something D grade to keep the enchants but I would buy a blank one to upgrade to c grade since I have tons of AA....hmmm

If you're talking even exchange, you can trade it for a Claymore (2 handed sword).
The ELS also has the same grade and crystal value as the Mith Dagger, Staff of Life, Ghost Staff, and Glaive.
Does anyone know if I can convert A grade Dark Crystal Boots Light Armor to Robes through Blacksmith Mammon? And if there is a +3, will the enchant stay?

Although the thread got a bit off-topic (it was about the MERCHANT of mammon, not the Blacksmith, theres plenty other threads about the Blacksmith):
a) You can only exchange D and C grade items
b) You can only exchange weapons, no armor
c) The enchantment would stay if it was possible to do the exchange it the first place :) You lose enchantments only when upgrading, not when exchanging.
And not related to the post I am replying to but to another post in this thread: Upgrading a top D item to a low C item is pretty stupid because the market value of top D items is around 3m - and for lowest C items also around 3m.
The Blacksmith of Mammon will only Unseal A Grade armors. Enchantments do remain when unsealing A Grade armors.
Back on topic ... great job making this price list. Although I agree that NCSoft should either reword the Dye names or enable word wrap in the Trader window.
Do you think we can get this thread moved to the Player Guides forum, where it belongs (instead of letting my one and only useful thread slide into oblivion!)? :D
i've been wondering about one detail:
if i wanted to upgrade a enchanted weapon, will this earn me a little discount (for example +4 tarbar -> bonebreaker) ?
Oh, and i can you upgrade dual swords ? Can i upgd my 107 d's to raid*spirit ?
I am also wondering this, i currently have dual sabers. (no i cant afford better, im poor, i know that) Can i upgrade these? and if i can, to what? Also, how much will it cost? I havent had a chance to hunt down mammon yet and was wondering how much AA it would cost so i dont tele all over Aden for nothing.
Dual swords can be upgraded to other dual swords or exchanged for dual sword of equal value.
They can not be exchanged for any other weapon type.
When upgrading dual swords that has enchants (like upgrading a dual D grade sword that has +3 or something) to a c grade dual, would the enchant still be there, or get lost in the process (if upgrading d grade to c grade is possible that is)?

When upgrading any weapon, all enchantments are lost. Also, you do not get a discount for enchantments. Yes, you can upgrade from D to C.
Update: The Merchant of Mammon's product list has been rewrapped. Hovering over the item of choice will show you what dye it is, and it's attributes, +1-4 -1-4.
This part will be repeated one last time, for people that are confused.
An enchanted weapon, that is, a weapon that has had a +1 for example, or any other +number added to it, can be upgraded, but if upgraded, the enchantment will be lost.
Special Abilities are lost upon upgrades. Special abilities can also be lost when trading for a weapon of equal value. However, when trading weapons for weapons of equal value, the enchantments are included.
Example: +3 Staff of Life is traded for +3 Soul bow. You may not choose to what enchantment you would have.
Example of an impossible trade: +3 Homunkulus for a +2 Sword of Whispering Death.
how much AA is a blue party mask??? and how much would it be to exchange a crusifix of blessing to sword of mystic?
and its blacksmith that exchanges and merchant thatt would sell mask right?

correct except: u can buy mask from dawn for 600k AA + 128k A IIRC.
exchange of weapons is free IF the crystal count of both is the same.
hi, i just started playing L2 on Teon like a week or two ago and i have a human wiz. Now my main problem is that i'm stuck with my top NG wep Crucifix of Blessing and i'm trying hard atm to go D. So i'd like to find out if anyone here knows if i can upgrade my wep at Mamoon (at normal NPC it doesn't work anymore) to lowest D, or if i must buy a low D from shop and upgrade from there (if someone knows pls include the price required for this transaction). thx
ok so got myself a sword of magic D grade and went to mamoon to see to what can i upgrade it to... no upgrade weapon appeared.. i could however exchange the weapon with one equal.
Does anyone know why didn't any upgrade possibility appeared? must i have the enough amount of adena in my inventory for the better weapon to appear in that window?
PS: the weapon to be upgraded was not in my hand :)
so i have a sword of magic atm D grade matk 45... i can exchange it for sword of the occult or another sword with the same matk. I tried exchanging for all theese weapons and then upgrading them but none seem to work... still i question: does one need to have the amount of adena needed for the upgrade in the inventory for the upgrade weapon to appear? if not..what is happening?!
There is no direct upgrade for magic swords, it seems. You shpuld try to exchange it for regular sword, dager, staff ets.
No, i dont think you need to have aa in your's bag to see the upgrade choices.
The problem I see is that to exchange a weapon for another, both weapons must have the same crytal count, but no other weapons have the same crystal count as the Magic Swords so you can't exchange it.
It would seem that you can't upgrade thoses swords at all, sorry.
so i cannot upgrade my D weapon... gee i didn't see this commin'... soo lame... payd my last adena on it... really takes the fun out of playing... how was i supposed to know that this wep is not upgradeable when everywhere i can read "Mamoon upgrades only D and C weps"... sux
really blows dude. grind with it, get some adena, and then have a dwarf that you are friends with crush it and try and sell the crystals at 650a each, and you should get most of your money back, and then with the money you got from grinding you should be able to buy a new weapon.
The cost in AA is the base prices diffirence multiplied by 1.2 aproximately. Tsurugi and Warage have the same crystal value (1720) so you can trade them at BS of mammon free of change in case you don't have an SA. In case you have SA and still want to exchange you need to remove the SA first.
Does anyone happen to know how much it cost to go from dual stormbringer to a top C dual? The first step (to a 183 p.atk one) costs 600k AA, I was wondering if anyone knew the price of the second one. This way I'll be able to decide whether I should sell my SBs and simply buy top c duals or upgrade them.

Grade ... Dual ............................... C (2500) .. pAtk .. AA Upgrade
C ....... Stormbringer*Stormbringer............... 1,912 ... 175 ........... 0
C ....... Stormbringer*Katana .................... 2,112 ... 183 ..... 600,000
C ....... Katana*Katana .......................... 2,452 ... 190 ... 1,020,000
Right now i have a Stormbringer, which im planning to upgrade to a SLS. how much would be the total cost in AA? i know the next one costs about 900k AA or so, but i dont remember the weapon i'd get next

i have the same problem...so resuming...
to upgrade a weapon the next one must have the same crystal count?
to be more specific, what weapon do i need to buy to make the path for staff of life?
your weapon that you have with the 2545 crystal count means that if you crush it, or blow it up enchanting it, you will get that many crystals D as a result.
but the crystal count is the means of determining the level of the weapon in its grade.
if you had a weapon of 1170 D crystal count, you would need to upgrade from there to the weapon valued at 1758 crstals, then up to the one of 2545 crystals, and finally to the top D weapon which has 3272 crystals.
the upgrade at the balcksmith of mammon will cost you Ancient adena if you havent already figured that out, and youll need to upgrade only ONCE if your weapon is 2545 crystal count D already.
i dont know what type of weapon you bought, but whatever it is please do a FREE EXCHANGE first to Tarbar, then upgrade, it will turn into a bonebreaker. do a free exchange again to get a Staff of life.
the upgrade should be about 480K Ancient adena (if memory serves me correctly)

Only when a dwarf crushes it, you'll get that many crystals. You get a lot less if you crystalize your weapon by blowing it up. Not sure how much less, because I'm not a crazy enchanter :)

i bought a crucifix of blood. the process it will be like you said on your post?
Nope. sorry. you bought a weapon that the mammon blacksmith wont recognize; under the weapon name, youll see its an Etc weapon, one handed.
mammon WONT take etc weapons and exchange them. what i would do is SELL your crucifix for the same money as you bought it, and then buy a tarbar as low as you can from a player (no +) or failing that, get the tarbar from giran store.
One is the trader and the other is the blacksmith. But they both have the same name. One comes to catacombs the other necropolises. I can't remember which is which.

no, there are 2 of each. 2 merchants visit the necropolii, and 2 blacksmiths visit the catas.
sometimes both visit the same one and you get overlap. fun to watch.

You can exchange this for another item. Then upgrade the new item. Been there, done that.
ok nice, when we're speaking of the mammon i must say:
ive heard people saying the mammons have like time sketchuals, when and where they WILL show up, anyone can make any sence of thiS?
I think its just random , and thats why , experimented people like heroes are continiously spamming for BS & Merchant LOC all the time, cuz the only way to know where it is .. is to find it by ur self or if someone tells u where he is at the momment , i dont have exact time but .. i think he stays at the same catacomb/necropolis not much longer than 30 minutes.. well hoping that this will help.

Do Merchant and Blacksmith spawn at the entrance? I have visited some cata's lots of time with no luck. Just checking, I would really like to upgrade my weapon.
