46 to 47 = 2.7M XP
47 to 48 = 2.9M XP.
48 to 49 = 3.1M XP.
49 to 50 = 3.3M XP.
There is no wall there, see the pattern? Very steady increases, but nothing dramatic.
But, from 50 to 51 is 5.4M XP.
The pattern resumes until the next wall:
51 to 52 = 5.7M XP
52 to 53 = 6.1M XP
53 to 54 = 6.5M XP
54 to 55 = 6.9M XP
Then, another wall.
55 to 56 = 9.8M XP
56 to 57 = 10.5M XP
57 to 58 = 11.1M XP
58 to 59 = 11.8M XP
59 to 60 = 12.5M XP
Here it comes:
60 to 61 = 19.8M XP
61 to 62 = 20.9M XP
62 to 63 = 22.1M XP
63 to 64 = 23.4M XP
64 to 65 = 24.6M XP
Incoming!
65 to 66 = 34.6M XP
66 to 67 = 36.5M XP
67 to 68 = 38.4M XP
68 to 69 = 40.4M XP
69 to 70 = 42.4M XP
70 to 71 = 44.6M XP
Is there no wall at 70?!
71 to 72 = 58.5M XP
Oh =/ Here comes another
72 to 73 = 73.6M XP
.. and another..
73 to 74 = 90.0M XP
and the last one:
74 to 75 = 100.8M XP
P.S.
I would like to thank Amer for this info, he gets all the credit.
Take care

The reason that the info does not go any lower is there are no walls before the level 50 one. For a rough estimate you could take the exp posted for level 46-47 and times that by .92 to the power of your level difference. IE 2700000*.92^10 if you were level 36. It wont be perfect but its somewhat close.
Yup warcry seems to be correct for up to level 50. I redid your graphs to make them a big bigger :) I am on a small res computer of I would have made them even larger, but to do so now would be too much work. After you click on my image links if the image may look scrunched together, if so click on the image once to make it full size.
If you sum up the xp needed for each level (i.e. the total exp of the char), you will notice that for one character of lvl 75, you could ALSO have levelled:
- two characters to level 68
- three characters to level 64 and a half
- four characters to level 62
or
- 46 characters to lvl 40 :)
The last lvl (74 to 75) alone takes as much experience points as levelling a character from 1 to 57, and for 73->74 you could level a character from 1 to 56.

Quite amazing.
That assertion only works if level 80 mobs gave the same experience as level 10, 20, 30, etc mobs. You can't base it on experience to level, you need to base it on xp per kill.. or better yet, xp per hour.
Well I wouldnt worry about level walls too much. I am in the 60-65 bracket. And I can Sometimes get 6% an hour. Sometimes more, often I am at 4.5%(C3). Back when I was 45 and in cruma, I was doing about the same(C1). (I took some big breaks between C1 and now) Level walls should not be that scary. As you change from one spot to another, you need to change how you arrange your parties. One thing to watch for is what I call useless people, IE people don't use ss/bsps, or are redundent in the party. No reason to have 2 healers when one does nothing.
A good party for me is myself a bishop, a wc, a dd(sometiems 2), and a bd. With that combo I hunt the lair and can clear the room above the money room. Something that most 9 man parties can not do because they have flaws in them that weaken them as a party. I am not even that scared of 65 and 70 levle walls. I know someone at 70 that has gotten 4.5% an hour. Sadly he forgot what hte party was made of, but when I get there I am sure I'll figure it out.
All I have to say is play smart, and you can get past the first few level walls with barely any changes to your exp.

That whole perfect party thing is over-rated. I never exclude people from groups and always take who ever wants to come. XP Is a side effect of hanging out with friends, forget about it.

Well I don't see how its over rated. For me its a difference of 2-3% an hour vs 4-6% an hour. If I am little picky, and keep my group small, I pretty much can double the exp I get in a party. When I am hunting, I am hunting for exp not to hang with friends. Sometimes people in my allaince are lfg but cant find one. When that happens and I have a group I will give them a spot as long as they have to promise to spam ss/bsps.

These two quoted comments show two absolutely different play styles. One person groups to hang out with his friends, not necessarily to XP. The other, however, admits he hunts for XP, not to hang out with friends. People need to accept that not everyone plays they same way, and give each other the right to play in whatever way they enjoy the most. I get sick of seeing people say 'if you don't like playing this way, this isn't the game for you' or 'if you don't like it, quit.' That is total BS.

Silver lining? :P
Nah, actually it is true. If you could rip the XP from a lvl 75 char and spread it on two new chars, both of them would ding to lvl 68. I did not say that in the time you spent on a lvl 75 char you could lvl two 68 ones, just that the same experience amount would have that effect if used on two chars instead of one. I think it pretty well illustrates just HOW MUCH exp the levels from 71 upwards need. A lvl 75 char is "worth" as much as 46 lvl 40 chars.
Why do I have the sudden dread that it will take me at least a year or two to reach 75????
Always nice to know, not dread and suspect but to know, that having reached 60 you are still nowhere close to that lofty goal of 75!!!!! A bit disheartening if I may say so.
If they do, I suspect it would have the same effects as it did pets in C3. Many of our pets "leveled" up overnight since the exp requirement was reduced per level. If the same happened to players - then some of us will mysteriously level up overnight... or delevel... depending on the adjustment. :D
Before 60ish or so its not that bad, since mobs give you more XP a kill too. The borders (esp 7x it seems) higher up hurt more since your still fighting the same mobs, giving the same XP. At 64 I was doing a fine 2%/hr solo, now I'm down to 1.2%/hr solo (on the same mobs). You can see that comparing to friends that are lower level as well; they get more levels in a week then you do (well uh I can't even get 1 lvl in a week.. unless I spend 80+ hours)
I don't have the fancy diagrams and all, when I want to see how much XP per level it takes, I just use a little simple math.
Check XP % (we'll use 21.23 %)
Kill mob, earn 4250 XP
Check XP % again (21.29 %)
Now .. divide the total XP recieved by the % gained: 4250/6 (708.33)
This gives me how much XP for 0.01% (708.33 XP = 0.01%)
Add two zeros and you get how much XP needed for 1% at your current level. (70,800 = 1%)
If you need 47% till next level, then multiply by 47 (70,800*47= 3,327,600 XP till next level)
It's pretty easy to calculate on the fly without having to reference charts and stuff.

:) Does not help much if you kill two mobs lvl 75 in Blazing Swamp and still get 0.00% ...
(yes yes sure - with a larger number of mobs it would be possible to do it there, too)
Seriously though, it's not THAT important to know the exact number of exp you need for the next level. Most of the time all you want to know is "how many days will it take me to reach the next lvl up", and to do that you do not need any complicated calculations, you just need to look at your exp bar and the start of the day and at the end of the day. These xp tables are more or less only interesting to see whether the next level will take far longer than the current one or about the same time (i.e. level wall or not).

yeah, full ack to that. the charts are nice, but the calculations about how many chars you could level with the same exp are uttely useless, because you get a ton more exp on lvl 70 than on lvl 20. and money too, btw.
for my experience, i just reached lvl 50 yesterday (i.e. last year ;) ) and thus the first "wall". at first i have to say, yes, the wall is recognisable. the same mobs that gave me 0.1% each on lvl 49 now give 0.06% on 50.
on the other hand, i have to say, levelling speed is just back to normal now. lvl 49 was the fastest level i got since about lvl 25 or so. i easily made 18% an hour, i was surprised myself. now i get about the usual 10-12% again. so maybe those walls are not there as obstacles, but just to adjust to the exp you get. not only the exp needed took a jump up, but obviously also the exp received.
ok, all this is of course just a desparate attempt to see the positive side of all this. but hey, just use your time to play instead of making useless calculations and lvl 75 will come sooner than you think. (hopefully... ;) ).
Couple of weeks for an alt that has access to top grade equip and weapon for their level cap, Ie top D at 20 with enough money to blow on SS or SPS. Any "normal" char takes about a month to reach 40 and another one to reach 60, then it starts to get ugly :P
I'm playing Spellhowler since Feb 19th, so 20 days today.
I'll be 50 by evening.
Do I miss something ?
I mean, no boastfulness here but, I think I got one of the best PL :
From 1-20 : Got buffs/MP recharges from a friend who has a SE
20-40 : Got PL'd by the same friend with his sorc @ Connabi/Sanhidro/Cadeine @ Blazing Circle just south from Oren, best xp ever.
40-44 : Timak Orcs, same Oren surroundings
44-50 : Hunter Gargoyles and Basilisks NE from IT, getting 1 level per day.
And you say you can get 1-61 in a couple of weeks ? I don't really see how you can do that except paying some guys to get your toon leveled 24/7

tok me 3 days to get to lvl40 TH (playing like 6h a day) OOP SE/PP.after this I got 40% / hour decrasing to 20% towards lvl61. got about 15%/h at lvl 64. make the math. if you play 12h a day you can make this in less then 2 weeks. (ofc you need good wep, I had NG+0 :'( D+16, C+12, B+10) and always OOP buffs

essentially what youre saying is "if you have all the UBER gear ready, and have 2 separate buff boxes with you constantly and you have 0 life" you can get 61 in 2 weeks.
since i dont have any of that ill just take myself as lucky to get what i have got playing since 2004.
all true. and I admit I dident have much life when I played the TH up to 61. I just wanted to use my Agrade. now tho, I have played 1h last week. I recomend leveling slow and have fun, lower levels are more fun tbh.
but thats not the point, I was just saying you dont have to play/let someone else play the toon 24/7 to get to 61 in a feew weeks. once you actualy go out grinding (in small groups) XP comes easy and fast.

1-80 = 2852 buffed (~4 months) to 4262 (~6 months) solo generally, and yes i just made those numbers up.
thats IN GAME hours of grinding. time spent upgrading gear (add 13 to 27 weeks (2 to 6 months) depending if you OE or not), sieging (add 2weeks), dieing to wartags with better toons (add 3 days), and being PKd by strangers (add 1 day) sold separately.

Ok if dieing to Wartags add 3 days then Spud you may never live to see S grade lol
Don't focus on the grind. Focus on having fun with your friends. A Ventrillo channel and a microphone will help pass the hours of grinding away in the blink of an eye.
Those numbers make me want to cry.... and im just starting the game.... =*(
QFE
I too think they should make the game less of a grind. Im positive that they would see an increase in players if you didnt feel like you were beating your head against the wall trying to level up. Saying: "just focus on the journey, not the levels" doesnt really help because there really isnt a journey. Theres just quests telling you to go grind on this critter 'til that level, then go find some other person to give you a target. Heck even crafting is grinding cause you have to go plow through monsters just to get something. And I can remember trying to get a certain mat from a farming area, and it wouldnt drop for nothing... and then I finally got one of the item after two or three days. >.>
NCSoft doesnt know how to make games, they only know how to make beautiful art to waste your time with lol. Its one thing to waste your time with entertaining quests and fun pvp*, but... both are fairly lacking-to nonexistent.
I diasagree. IF lineage2 becomes easier, it becomes like lots of other games out there. I believe what makes us both different and better is that we are a longer term, tougher game. I think that the long grind makes us special. Sure it also makes us undesirable for some players, but that's cool. We are a niche game, not a game for everyone.
heres a good spot - come Chaotic throne 2 we get exp multipliers for hunting long periods of time.
As far as I understood from the notes and loose translations you get XP bonus based on how long you have been INACTIVE, not active. (I.e. Bonus rate for being offline or possibly just a 'safe zone' for 12 hours etc). This way it seems much more fair way to get XP as a legit player who has to work all week and only gets to play on weekends and an hour or two weekdays.
Saying that if your take is the correct one Spud, its also good news but only for the hardcore players who carry on for hours every night rather than the casuals.
2 billion to go from 79-80.... same for 80-81. It's about 25% more per level you gain after that. Not a terrible grind.... but somewhat boring. The only good thing is that at level 81 there is a HUGE boost in skill enchantment success rate.
