Does Cruma drop rules no longer apply?

OK i was so mad i didnt take any ss to back it up but my party had many members who can vouch for this , one was a prophet who got so mad left the party he is named bug or buggy. But anyway this sws named fallenangell(sp?) who recently quit soulfire for the drop, told me to grow up cuz she wanted to run with the drop and everyone else in the party was so complacent too. I played since prelude and this stuff is just so weird, I asked my alliance , which is vendetta(clan from prelude) and they tell me that running with drops is still a no no, so what do you guys think? I was so ****** i didnt take ss sorry, there were 3 others in party who didnt care, seems to me no one ever posts anything on drop stealers anymore. now how are we suppose to make money if there are no more auctions anymore, the drop was substantial top C grade weapon.
Omg i cannot belive u made it so far to post me for that drop...anyway i only play for like 2 months here  , i did not knew about that rule and by the way i was in many groups where members took full drop and no one asked to bid for that drop. Anyway u was like the only greed member who wanna made some adena by selling someone's else drop.
It was not enough that u made me quit SolarFlare clan u had to post me here too because ur greed??
If anyone else think i did the wrong way by not sharing my drop with the others pls msg me do not msg my ex clan leader or ex clan mates, they have nothing to do with that so pls to not take SolarFlare into this!
Don't run off with drops. Its just simple courtesy. He's not the greedy one, YOU ARE. I would drop you from my clan too. Many thanks to the OP, I'll know not to party or clan that person.
I had something similar to this happen in my group few weeks ago. Only the drop went to my boyfriend and only one guy in the group started getting mad about it and wanted to bid for it. We didnt even notice what the drop was. Most of the time we dont pay attention to those things because we are in groups for the laughs and company not for the drops. We sold the drop and split the money with the group, but even then you seem to end up having problems because not everyone trust eachother to be honest as far as what you sell the item at  either way some people dont win. Sry off the topic now...anyway yes you should split the drop with your group and not be selfish.
Lol i did not run off with drop..honeychille was the one who left party(and no one was sorry)and btw how about my ex-party drops when no one sayd that we must bid?Biding was in old C1 at Cruma, now it's c3...c 4 about to come and rules may have been changed!
Anyway guys i do not know how to make a pool about drops but if u know pls make one to see what players do think.
Thank u for reading my "point of view"!End of topic, don't wanna spam!
Good luck!
OMG I WAS THE ONE WHO BOUGHT THAT DROP WITH MY DWARF!!! THE WIDOW MAKER UPPER MID/TOP GRADE POLEARM!!!!

That is ironic...i bought it yesterday for 7.8 mil or something.

Anyway, it is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY improper not to split drop profits with your group.

In DVC we got dark crystal gloves, we did a bidding in group and someone bought them for 12 mil, the person dropped the 12 mil on the ground, left party, it auto split it between the rest of us and she got the gloves.

I am shamed that I bought this item from you knowing that you ran with it and refused to split their rightful profit. You should highly reconsider giving them a fair cut.
I think drop auctions are lame. i think drop splitting is lame. i think you keep what goes in your inventory and if your friend gets a good drop, feel good for him, not greed.

not fair? what about all the time party member "a" gets 6 thread and 2 silver nuggets, while member "b" gets 5 BW glove fabs and 2 zubei boot recs?

noone ever says "hey lets split up all the Drops-EVERY DROP-".

2 times ive gotten large drops and had to give it to buddie because he gives party members 500a each! oh woohoo. joy thx for the 500a, i didnt want my DC boots.

i solo now, or only join parties where you can keep your drop.
If you dont want to share dont group like you said...I got some mid c grade weapon drop while two boxing yesterday and thats why I like to two box, because its all mine.

If you want to group party you share the big drops, thats the way it is. It is a group effort and you wouldnt even be in the area without your team mates. Splitting a drop equally among party members is not greedy. Keeping the drop you couldnt have even gotten without your party members is, end of story IMO.
hey r wrong, can you give us your in game name so that i know not to group you, i mean if you really mean it you shouldnt hide behind a fake name anyway usually your type never say you want a group that will keep drops until there is a drop and it lands in your inventory, otherwise you ilk will be first to cry foul.
I had this happen last night. I'm in Giran making shots, getting ready for bed. Wife is in DV soloing for a few minutes, when 2 peeps come up to her invite her to party. She joins, they are almost dead, she heals and buffs them. They then kill a cave servant or shackle, don't know what cause i'm not watching the screen. They tell her to hold on a sec, they kicked her out of party, picked up the drop, and tried to invite her back in. I've never seen anyone that cheap. Whatever it was, it couldn't have been that good - I looked at the monitor and it wasn't a full drop. She ignored them after that and logged.

you dont know me, dont think i lie. dont think i hide. i typed what i meant and mean what i type, or why bother to type it jacknob.
Haha, this is so funny...because a member of SolarFlare stole a drop from my group in Cruma a long time ago. Wouldn't trust them with anything.
What is so hard for some of u guys to understood??? I DID NOT ran with drop, i stayed in group and make like 10% more after that, the ONLY one who LEFT group was HonneyChille who got mad that no one else wanted except her to bid.....
Hes/his exact words were: "C'mon guys no one wants to bid except me??" and after getting no positive answer she left the party. Now once again i did not kew about the drop rule and in all groups i was no one shared drops!!!!
I hope now u all understood what happened there !!!!!!
I bought the item from you and then you kept the money and didnt give it to anyone even though you still know who they are even from these posts...that is still wrong.
Except HonneyChille no one wanted money for that drop..if they want i wait them to pm ingame and i will give them...i had enough troubles already for that drop...i would have agreed to bid if they wanted then..but if they want now is ok i will give them now money...anyway i play for fun...JUST FOR FUN!!!!
it doesnt matter if the majority of the group didn't want to bid angell, even if it was clarified that ONLY honey wanted to bid then it should have been bid. Wanting your fair share is not greed. However if you are, in fact, willing to share the profit then you 2 need to arrange it (although it should never have come to that in the first place).
Hmmmmm this "cruma" style of bidding is rather strange...at least from an outside-server view...I'm glad I only have a solo-alt there.

Why get worked up over a want to bid? And bidding on a 7mill item? That's less than 1mill/group member. It would be better for a 'first dibs' system in which a member of the party could purchase it first before it hits market, 12mill for dc boots split between group? I don't get it why didn' the person stay in group - they weren't in the group xping for the item in the first place? Back on track - Don't group unless all the members can agree on a certain rule or drop number...so if a full item drops thats over 15mill, split with group. Otherwise it could be who gets the drop, keeps the drop.

Nobody should complain about lack of drops when the rules for drops in the party aren't discussed before xping. It is tantamount to setting arbitrary rules and penalizing relatively new players.

Sometimes I get drops split, sometimes I don't. But in the end, I normally would stay in the group for xp regardless of the full-drop system.
you're like level 40 or less in cruma groups...1 million is a lot to any legit player at anything below mid 50s...and still 1 million is nothing to scoff at.

What is so hard for some of u guys to understood??? I DID NOT ran with drop, i stayed in group and make like 10% more after that, the ONLY one who LEFT group was HonneyChille who got mad that no one else wanted except her to bid.....

How do you get to 55 and not know standard drop rules?
No from bartz, but this one caught my eye. I have never in any of my levels seen anyone ask for bidding on an item. We have always used "drops by turn including spoil". If it ends up in your inventory, it's yours. If you want to give it, trade it, crystallize it, or play with the drop, it's yours to do with. Quit whining and being greedy about it. If you are going to be that petty with the people you play with, they will probably not team with you anymore.

We congratulate each other when someone gets a nice drop, you would do well to adopt the same.
That's all very nice, but that certainly isn't the way it has been done for most of the life of this game, and many others.

How did we evolve to such a system? Because it is the most fair. Everyone gets a piece. We learned this as children: Share.

If you are grouped with your buddies (as it sounds) then sure, the rules can change to whatever. But if you're going to group with strangers, then this is the way it has been since C1 and before. It is simply the most fair.

Sharing isn't being greedy, its making sure everyone gets something. And if you're not worried about drops when you're hunting, then chances are you were either helped by a higher lvl buddy, a well established clan, you e-bayed or were helped by an e-bayer. The rest of us have to earn it.

I just got it, he's probably from a private server. Duh. Go back to your illegal game.
Sorry Honey, I play on Erica. I guess what they say about Bartz is right. If this nice kindergarden (sp?) share and share alike really does permeate all throughout Bartz, I wish I would have joined it from day 1. Sounds like a nice wholesome place, if I wanted to invite my grandma to play.
Then quit trolling our forums. Go back to your devil server!!!

DEMONS OUT!!!!!

lol
Always known it to be rule to bid on drops over 1m
If someone gets 40m drop kinda unfair they keep all 40m especially cause woulda been very hard for them to get that drop solo... anyways always been bid on items over 1m then split
Soarta same thing here...my friend said he was gonna give me a chance to get 1 mill and he would drop it and see who gets it first he dropped it i been pressing f8/my pickup button/and got it and he got so mad he killed me before i could say anything it was like pickup dead but i still gave it back cuz hes my buddy
if your on bartz post your in game name and say you want to keep drops that way you make your position clear and we can stop grouping you. I mean if you think its the way you wanna play then dont hide your name. If your not from bartz go away , i have no idea of what goes on outside of bartz and have no interest in finding out
what is wrong with you greedy people????? angel has the right to keep it!!! honeychile u need to chill! everytime im in party we always get what we get...if a c weap ect.. land on my inventory then its mine!!! all mine!!! but if it lands on someone else then im happy for them! auction for drop item is BS! if someone want to argue about it i then i would love to go to court and settle things up! cuz i know im winning.

i dont like people that think like honeychile no offense. oh and btw if u want auction jus make a deal and rules b4 partying.

now that is wrong!!! if i encounter peepo like that i will put them on my kos list and be their worse nightmare! i wont let them play in peace!!

but what fallinangel doing is right! reading this thread makes me angry!!!! if i were fallinangel ill pk them all for the BS arguement.
uh...sorry...I could be pointing out something stupid, but so be it.

DISTRIBUTION: BY TURN INCLUDING SPOIL

Is there something in that sentence that doesn't make sense to anyone? O.o

This is like saying that in a raid everyone should get the profits from whatever people pick up. I don't know about you guys, but during event week, I had some raids I didn't get >< and some that I got lots of stuff, when I got tallum boots, everyone said Gratz, when I got dc boots, same thing...nobody asked me for money for these items.
Regular grouping is the same, when I get oriharukon ore, worth 14k+ on my server, I don't get people asking me for half of that. Why should it be any different if I get a full drop?
Heck, most people I party with give me all their drops anyways...dorfies get everything ^^
Okay, I've been following this thread for awhile now. It seems to me that different people have different ideas of how drops should be handled in parties. If everyone in the party agrees to the rules established at party formation (should be done by the party leader), then no conflict will arise. However, in this case, it appears that the party did not establish the rules and this created conflict as each party member had a differerent idea of what was and was not acceptable. Partying by different standards does not make one greedy, or selfish, or right, or wrong. It just means they hold a different set of values. Bottom Line: Establish party drop rules before you party with someone new. If you don't agree with the rules, do not party with the group. This will keep the peace and let people enjoy playing their characters.

well said.

make rules b4 party. if no rules then its up to the person that has the item to share or not...her call and its alright for her to run off! she can even fly off with it!!!! cuz she has the right to!!! anyway if it was a certain spellbook for a mage and i cannot use it i usually donate to the person in my party that can use it. but a C weap??? hell yeah im keeping!!!

they should have another loot option for the none-sportsman hearted morons that was complaining about sharing the drop for auction.. maybe an option like when anyone in ur party got a drop and it goes to a neutral inventory where then they can do whatever to it like selling it and everybody gets the split.
Fallenangel, I would switch servers if this was the majority opinion. A lesson learned here for you my friend is to ask what the rules are for drops before you start exping with new people. On my server, when I get a good drop, ill drop some money in party, if i have it. For instance I got an A weapon enchanct from the spoiler in our group. I was the only one in the group not in their clan. So I dropped 3m in the group. Yes they didn't get very much, but I know they will party me again. But, noone expected it, nor demanded it.

To chillebean or whatever your name is, why is it fair to be able to bid on an item that drops. If you ebay and got 10m on you...then you win every bid. If noone in the party has any money, but you have 100k more than me, the system you have says I give you my tallum helm drop for 500k?

Extreme cases there, but nevertheless, a flawed player implemented system you got there.

Fallenangel, please feel free to pm me on these boards if you want a different server, I would be glad to help you out.

yes, it does make them immoral because regardless of what they decided EVERYONE decided they wanted some cut of the worth so it was decided by everyone that they wanted some adena from the drop. The person was unwilling to give them any of their just deserved loot and left.

The only immorality here is the one you perceive. Morality is very much a matter of perspective, and/or a reflection of ingrained social values. As such, what is moral to one person, is decadent to another. For you, this is immoral. For the other guy, obviously not.

I want 400a everytime you get a Varnish.
I think it is just what has been decided is normal play on the server.

On Bartz, as long as I have played (since prelude). It has been to bid on large drops in a group.

If someone needs it they get it at a discount, and the party members get some adena. Everyone is happy.

Pretty standard practice, and I think any party not set like that is the exception.

sure, if i get enough varnish in one drop that it equals to 10k varnish then we will split it...things always work your way when you take them completely out of context. Thats like saying hey guy with the ferarri here, trade me for this pencil, stop making unrealistic analogies.

sounds like you take too many sociology class. The moral values I perceive are shared by the moral majority of the game thus making it the moral standard of the l2 universe. If you get a big drop, the profit is shared with group this is considered common group rules or common l2 sense for anyone that has played any amount of time in this game and that is simply undeniable. This is a North American server not a russian/north american server where our values may conflict greatly so stop taking it out of context saying morals are just perceived blah blah blah I dont want to hear it because it has no validity here.

I cant believe that this forum has gotten so bad that people are actually arguing about splitting the wealth of a 10 million drop between the group! That is just pathetic.

Actually, the only sociology class I took was in high school. My teacher gave me a "B" instead of the "A" I earned because I was only a sophmore in a senior's only class and he didn't want the other students to get jealous (registration error let me in the class despite my level, teacher didn't find out til too late to withdraw). My conclusions are not based on theoretical social morrays proved in a Phd. paper on the human values system. My conclusions are simply based on years of people watching. Being a perpetual wall flower has it's advantages.

My point is, no matter how much you try and standardize a "moral" or "social value", there will be someone who disagrees, because they do not share your perception of morality or values. To say, "The moral values I perceive are shared by the moral majority of the game thus making it the moral standard of the l2 universe.", is a ludicrous statement indeed. You can only speak for the circle of people you have direct interactions with, as is the same for all of us. I personally have had interactions with players who hold both standards of party loot sharing (to bid or to keep lareg item drops). These people had no problems with other players in the party because they shared the same values.Simply put, you and your circle of friends (which may or may not be large) sharing a common value does not make that value a moral majority. Such a statement implies that you are an offical moral spokesperson for the whole Batz server. And I, for one, resent you or anyone else trying to speak for me when it comes to my value system. I believe I have shown that I am quite competant at expressing my own opinion and do not need someone who is unwilling to weigh the merits of all arguments presented trying to reperesent me.

Personally, I don't care one way or another. Either works because both drop procedures have their advantages and disadvantages. It really boils down to a simple matter of preference.

Maybe your teacher shared different moral values of how to grade you vs. what you thought was acceptable yet you argue the point that he was wrong...its a free for all according to you. Backstabbing, pk'ing noobs, killing babies, its all a matter of perception using your idealogy.

"By George I think he's got it!", at least mostly. In our ancient past as a human race, and in certain societies, sacrificing babies was not only acceptable, it was considered a moral imperative. No one wanted the gods wrath brought down upon them. However, as social values are ever fluid, this has changed. So has the idea of how much body can be shown and still be socially acceptable (Just look at those licentious dark elves!!!). There will always be a personal standard that we as humans use as a frame of reference. However, before we judge anyone's idea of fairness and equality as morally reprehensible, we need to look at it from their point of view. You may find that yes you still do not agree with the action, but you will understand where the other person is coming from. This could in turn, moderate your response, making it less hostile, more thoughtful, and more responsive. It's one thing to say, "You dirty, immoral pig-dog. How dare you be so greedy!"; and quite another to say, "I understand your point of view. However, I still feel this behavior is unacceptable."

FelictyEtrogen, Bounty Hunter Extrodinaire
well you go kill the babies and i will follow the standard implied rule to give people a cut of a large drop...but..with the baby murdering, good luck with all of that etc
all of you who hide behind false alias, IN GAME NAME PLEASE--what part of that dont you understand. give us your ingame name and announce your intentions of looting party drops, i am not gonna go asking around , and you sure the hell wont tell me you will run. Almost everyone I spoke to says that looters will get KOS from alliance. Now all you in lesser servers or hidding behind false alias, your opinions dont matter.
So.....if I need a drop, say tallum boots....and I happen to party with you, hoping for said drop, and by some miracle after weeks of grinding I get tallum boots...I am supposed to let you "bid" on it, or otherwise try to get it from me...what if I am out here specificalyl for that drop cause I need it to complete my set and am out of money? You gonna pay me the equivalent of what it is really worth?
I sure hope I don't do antharas with you, if I get anything you'll want a split from that too I suppose. :/

well you go kill the babies and i will follow the standard implied rule to give people a cut of a large drop...but..with the baby murdering, good luck with all of that etc

"Sticks and stones..." Dude, there's no correlation between baby killing and party drop rules. Calling someone a baby killer to make your point just shows you still don't understand the fluid movement of morality and social change. It also bespeaks of a narrow mindedness I simply do not wish to address on this forum. Saying that, I'll let you rant mindlessly to your heart's content.

Umm, so you will know for sure, that no one else in your party needs tallum boots? Or they haven't been grinding in that area trying to get them with other parties?

All I read is. "If I need something than I could care less what anyone else needs. I am taking it."

Thats why bidding is fair. Hunt with a group in the area that drops the item. Hopefully you'll be able to get it at a reduced rate if it drops. Hell, let it be known upfront thats what your hunting for and need and work out a deal before hand.

But just getting the drop and splitting is wrong.

As for antharas. I really hope you not in any alliance we will raid him with. For some reason most alliances go about setting up drop rules and distribution. When you have 100+ people doing a boss. every man for himself just sucks.

Not to mention, I don't see you being a high level nuker. So you realize that unless for some insane reason you happen to end up in a nuker party. You will never, ever get a raid boss drop? They are based on damage delt by party.
But according to your logic. You think the game would be great if only nukers got all the raid drops on the server and the others there to help never got anything.

GG. not
Wow, I think that was the best post of the thread. Because you need something no one else has a right to it?
Let's say you are hunting in a 9-man party and you are the only one needing Tallum Boots. Yay! You get the drop, you have an auction and you pay the most. Everyone is happy.

Now, let's do it your way, you have the same party and Tallum Boots drop. Realize what this means? Exactly, there's an 8 out of 9 chance that you won't get them. Also, mostly the person getting them(most likely not you) is going to be happy. Even though he doesn't need them, it was his drop and he has no reason to share with your group because you don't even want him to, right?

Do you understand what you are saying now?
Nice rewording of my post there.

IF I have been camping a spot for weeks, and you happen upon me and party up with me the day I by some miracle actually finally get the drop I was camping for, I am supposed to let you have the drop?
I still want to know what people don't understand about party options.
And yeah, like I said in an earlier post, during event week, I got in on a LOT of raids, and ended up with not only tons of enchants but tallum boots dc boots and zubei gaiters, all raid drops, cause I return what people drop when they die doing raids. NOBODY asked me for a cut, they all CONGRATULATED me.
And yeah, when I am partied with people, and I do get into a lot of parties, we all congratulate each other on big drops, we never ever ever try to steal that drop from it's rightful owner.

And yeah, I am not stupid, I realize the chances of someone else getting the drop I need in a nine man party, adn I will still be happy for them if they get it, why? CAUSE THATS HOW I PLAY.
I don't want your stuff, I won't ask for your stuff, and that's why people like me and party with me allll the time.
I never have understood when people say they are warsmiths and can't get parties, I never have trouble.

(BTW please don't talk to me like I'm stupid, I understand what I wrote thanks.)
Maybe it is just the new players coming up then.

As for event raids. In a mixed group, ad-hock situation like that. It is usualy finders keepers. Unless something else is decided before hand.

As for the rest.. Like I said it might just be new folks that weren't around during prelude and C1 when cruma rules were made the standard of the server.

But for the most part everyone in thier 60s-70s use cruma rules by default.
In fact in higher groups when a full drop happens. Bidding starts almost automaticaly. It is just understood. (obviously no one cares if it is a low level drop 1-2 mil usually).

Personaly, I can deal with either system. But for your reference. Cruma rules is standard. If it is a finders/keepers party you need to announce that when you make a group. Or ask if it finders keepers when you join. That way no one gets butt-hurt.
camping a spot for tallum boot drops? Anyway, why don't you guys who don't agree with this method post your in-game name here or tell each group that you plan to not share large drops when you join them. Then notice how you will never, ever get a group because this is understood common sense in the game. I imagine you would keep your motives hidden until you actually got the drop then run with it....and if someone else got a drop I bet you would call foul and ask for bidding to start. A hypocritical and insanely selfish way to play. Even the low lifes in the game still do the cruma drop rule.
As hard as it is to get in parties, I share graded drops. It's always been lower grade stuff (the type of stuff that gets crushed anyway) I like having a dwarf crystallize and split. I've seen everybody take a bath on someone with money in the party trying to buy the drop for a cheap price. And his buddies will be all for it; no telling how they square up later. If I ever pick up a top grade weapon, people will have to wait till I get a decent price for it.

My biggest aggravation lately is people trying to have finders-keepers parties, whining that they need the stones.

(BTW please don't talk to me like I'm stupid, I understand what I wrote thanks.)

Actually, I don't think you do, but I'll let that slide :)
Good day to you, sir.
Obviously still not actually reading my post.

I CONGRATULATE people that get good drops.

I don't whine about it, or try to take their drops from them for insanely low prices. I never even ask if they are keepign it.
If I see a shop later that they put their item up in, I might even buy it.
You people jsut want to assign nasty attitude to someone that has pointed out time and time again that they don't react the way you insist they must.
I have been around since beta, and I must say, have never ever had to deal with people selfish enough to try to take my drop. AND I have never ever asked for bidding, I didn't even know there were people out there selfish enough to want to take their party members drop.
AND...when I do get a drop I have no use for? If someone in my party asks me for it?

I ususally just give it to them, I don't sell it.
What was that about selfish hypocrites?

Oh, but you are the type that couldn't possibly understand that.

and pssst...in case you didn't get it...the "tallum boots camp" was a for instance...nobody is camping a spot right now, at least not in my world. It was an example.

and another pssst for the later post made....it's ma'am not sir ;)
well that is fine and dandy but you represent the great minority in the game. Like I said, if anyone said finders keepers in any group they would probably get the boot or most people would leave.
Bah! Bartz! hey, I stubbed my toe, someone have a bandaid? Don't drop it on the floor, I'll have to split it with someone, heh.

Okay, okay, I'm leaving ;)
Ganeda, I find your attitude comedable. There are not many people who are selfless enough to bypass a valuable drop because another person needs the item. As for the self-proclaimed "moral majority". Let him live in his fantasy black and white world. People who agree with you will still party with you as they share your viewpoint. And (bonus time) considering his attitude, now you know that partying with Huxley and his group is probably not a good idea.

FelictyEtrogen, Bounty Hunter Extrodinaire
not from this server but here are my thoughts :)

I only do bids in party usually if its a clan party cuz Ill know if they'll sell it back for profit.

Ive done bid with starnger and usually they bid REALLY underpriced, the person who got the drop should choose whether they want to bid.

but last time I did a bid that person bought it off me cheap and rresold it for profit. I dont think thats fair which is why I dont bid anymore.

I do however depending on the drop splt the money because I think thats fair we all fought we all should get something for it. But ifits like u know a cheap drop Ill keep it for myself.

about bidding I think think the only way they apply is if the person NEEDS that item and is not just using bid for resell profit. but i only do it with clannies

and I do think the person who get the drop has the choice of split and bid

and if ur not usin ss and everyone else is ur doing least dmg
and really dont deserve it. but hey thats what i think
I agree with ganenda(spell check) :)

cya

Duh. Go back to your illegal game.

they also said in kindergarden to ask for wat u want no one can read your mind :) and in this case no one ask for profit share so how was fallen supposed to know? cant read there minds :)
Well this post has gone too far because some ppl just don't want to understand so i said it LAST time:
1st of all we did not agreed to bid for drops(not even discussed about), party was by turn including spoil and i got the drop, after getting it no one saw so i told them "hey i got widow maker full drop " and in few secons honneychile came up with the ideea to bid, the other one were neutral, the did not told me they wanna bid too so i told honneychile to quit because i don't want to bid and then she said she will leave party and so she did.i was hunting like 15 more mins with the group then party dismissed because healer left(honeychile was the healer). So in that moment i was thinking that honneychile is an e-bayer because she was the only who want to bid a 10m item .....i had like 250k adena so tell me what chance do i get to keep the item that I RECIVED random? Think and u all will realize that i would have had no chance to keep my item and try to put yourselves in my place what u have donne??A C grade weapon drop is like 1 time in life, that item could save u, it gives u the hope and(why not) the adena u need to survive on the server and ppl are talking about KOS and no party!!!And there is that guy who told he buy it for me and now is sorry....he got it with 7.8 milions so he can sell or already sold it with much more so he told so just to please few of u! It is like i have all Bartz on my head now, when i ask on shout that i need party all say: NO we know u stole that drop.....so i guess honneychile succeded in makeing a DRAMA out of that drop!!!!
If we bid for C grade weapons why not to bid too when someone gets Ori Ore or Coarse bone powder i get like 1 stem???
Be happy now honneychille i left this server...i play on the european one because there is not this "orphanage attitude" shown by many of bartz players greedy like u!

Good for you angel...it is after all your lineage2 experience. And there are many servers not like bartz....if you start on hindemith pm myivy and Ill see what I can do for you. Public lynching went out a long long time ago in america. Shame to see it brought back in a video game meant for amusement.

LOL because I follow proper and understood rules? We got DC gloves drop the other day, someone paid a fair price, whole group got a few mil out of it, everyone was happy and it was done right.

Dont party with huxley because if he gets a drop he will split the profits with you, AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS! Make sure you get a finders keepers group so you get no share in your combined effort!

I BOUGHT THE **** THING FROM YOU!!! It's still equipped on my darn dwarf! Thats why I got involved in this whole thing to begin with.
I was partying in DV with an SH that had an Out of party buffer. He was in C grade. We killed a mob and it dropped a C Armor Enchant. I GAVE IT TO HIM. Why because he could use it. I didn't ask for adena, I didn't do bidding.

I did this because I bet you it will help me get parties later on. If I want a full drop, and someone else got it we BID on it to see who gets it. Thats the proper thing to do. If no one else except 1 other person wants it its a biding war for it. Who ever wins gets the item and we exchange adena for item, or I get the item and drop party and drop the adena on the ground depending. This is the only "right" thing to do for those expensive drops.

EDIT: The reason I have the right to bid on it is because I assisted in getting that full item that you may not have gotten on your own.
Lets say player x gets a chain hood and he really needs it to complete his set and it happends to land in his inventory. Now player x is a hard working legit player and this is his first toon in C grade, he's level 49 and he's one step away from finshing his set with that wonderful chain helm. But alas he has no cash, and player Z really wants the Chain hood for his alt and insists on a bid. Well poor player x loses the chain hood because he has nothing to bid with and the 900k that the hood finally sold for is split between 7 other partymembers. Boy thank goodness everyone got something. But wait, the guy that Got the hood just PAID for it. Whats the motivation behind that, he could have gone too town and bought one if he wanted one, why does he have to steal this one out of the hands of poor player x.

Makes no sense, and the whole bidding thing is nothing but spoil sports that cannot accept they didnt "win".
I think you guys are a bit confused. You don't use cruma rules to bid on every drop. Who is going to bid on C enchants, or even a chain hood?

Cheep items like that should go to whoever gets it. Most groups set up a adena limit based on levels. But even in cruma in the 30's it was for only on items over 1 million worth.

And honestly, don't look at it as a greed factor. Over the course of playing. You will make more money per person using cruma rules. Than praying you get lucky and happen to get the 1 drop out of your party once in a blue moon.

Usually a person that needs the item in a bid system gets the item at a reduced rate, and rest of the party gets a small cut of proceeds. Everyone is happy. If someone wants to go and bid as much as full price, then more power to them. Everyone else just gets a bit more.

If your poor like I am all the time. I can't afford to bid on anything worth having. But at least with party bid, it pays for SS useage. So its all good.
all people from other servers bug off until you play there and steal all the drops and no one cares then more power to you but this is not the freggen kain board or the hindesmith. This is the bartz forum , and what makes you think your poverty overwrites my poverty???? plus it is a top C grade weapon and the guy bout it for 7 million...so that means there is no amount of poverty or need that can ever justify running away with so much money. your not the only poor person and you destroy the group by running with the drop and then rest get nothing burning ss and helping you get the drop! its not a rule, it is common cortesy, you ruin the community and the community should be warned, they can choose whether it is smart to group you or not, this post is lynching no one! It is about warning scammers, so there wont be more victims by same person. You will cry foul when someone else runs way with the drop but you ...so bleah whatever
/agreed.

It is social convention as far as I am aware on Bartz. You don't have to agree with it, but you must accept the fact that if you break convention there will typically be consequences.

And yes, it is about sharing. You finally got your tallum boot drop? Well, if you were in a party of 9, then you're 1/9th the way there! Congratulations.

And if someone 'bids' too low for an item, then it is considered quite fair to insist that it be sold & the profits split. That is also common courtesy.

Obviously communication is key at the outset of the party, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. Running off with a drop is just wrong, and it is not greed to request that the party share in its major spoils including raids.

And Felicty, our group has never left anyone in one of our parties without something good from a raid or without a share of a major drop in a party. You may not know that we shared it with them, but we did. Everyone (strangers) we party with gets a share whether they were lucky enough to pick up the drop or not.

What I think you are thinking of is that sometimes when a stranger partied with us got a good full drop, we just let them keep it, because we're nice. Darned nice.

No non-clan person has ever walked away from one of our parties without a share of a major drop. And if it ever happened, I would give them their share out of my personal funds if I had to. It just isn't a good way to treat people.

/rant off
of if they bid too low you bid 100k over them take the drop and sell it for profit or drive them up to a fair price you can bluff about the cash you have in the bidding process just don’t get stuck with the bill. also i thought this childlessness was over no one since cruma 1f has ran with a drop from any of my grps i rember people trying but then they were dead before making it out of the room there normally, and thank you i see a list of quite a few people that i will have to kill if i see flagged, cant steal a drop if your dead
Stealing a drop that went into my inventory......nice spin.
on bartz it was agreed large drops be shared
by large drops it would mean full item drops with a value of 1mil or more...
it has always been this way on bartz
always will be this way on bartz and if you dont agree with it, and get a drop and keep it, you are gonna get pked repeatedly

thats how it is on bartz
in my total time on bartz only a few notable drops i have gotten in groups:
damascus, lance, majestic helm, dc helm, tallum leather armor

out of all those drops, the dc helm landed in my inventory :)

all items in our groups were auctioned always, many of these parties with random people from random clans in them.

It is how its done on bartz. I dont see how anyone could not know about this.
Weird, maybe its becuase none of my chars are that hi lvl yet, but I have never been in a party when anyone even mentioned bidding on large drops. With my luck, most of the time I see others get it, and I say cool drop or something. They always do likewise when I get one, and I party in random groups all the time so its not like its just becuase I am partying with friends.

While I can see someones greed come out when a player gets a 1 mil item drop, whos to say what else dropped in this group, maybe there were a few 100k items that no one figured were worth bidding for that went to another party member, then when a good one comes to a different party member they are all over them.

When I take out my spoiler to NoS and party with some people they usually get some good spoils like DSS Recipe, For some reason I never get any of these, but I am happy for them, as it is my way of repaying them for partying with a dwarf.

Opps forgot, 1 time I was partying with an Artisan, and they saw one drop I got, and asked if he could have it, to crush, and split the crystals. So I said sure why not.
Yeah i was referring to weapon drops and full armor drops with a high value. So say you are in a party and you get a dark screamer drop or a full plate helmet drop, those would be an auctionable item. Most parties dont bother auctioning off items with a value less than 1mil and the person who buys it gets a really cheap item and a 1/9th return on the price they pay for it (if its a full party).

Something like DSS recipe or d or c weapon enchant would not be something i would consider for an auction. But i remember in c1 in cruma we sould auction off low c grade armor drops and top d grade armor drops too, but things were fairly different then and it was alot harder to make adena.
hmm

I am a level 55 warsmith with a fp helm recipe ready to use and lots of mats sitting around.
Say I party with you in that special cata room that drops fp helm parts.
Say I get enough parts to craft a fp helm from them.
Is somebody going to want to bid on the fp helm I make, because I got the parts while partied with them?

Of course not

Then why would they want to bid on the item I got in my inventory. Granted, if I get a fp helm, since I am in bw gear, I would find the person I know that needs it and give it to them, as it's a pain in the [censored] to get those cheap nowadays. But, what you are saying is, if I get it, I am supposed to let you buy it from me because you bid a million on it, and nobody in the party wanted to pay more? So, you take it, and I split the million with eight other people, when my friend needs the actual item that landed in my inventory, and in the meantime, you get to sell said item for 6+ million.

Really fair yeah.
Well sorry if it doesnt seem fair to you, but this is the way it is on bartz. Anyone in any major clan or alliance agrees to these hunting party rules. Sorry if it doesnt seem fair to you, but this is just the way it is on Bartz.
You repeated yourself twice, and also stated that it's just what people do.

Doesn't explain why though.

I was just wondering why people are so incredibly greedy here. That was my only question really.

No real answer though *sigh* oh well.
It was a rule that was made up before I started playing on bartz....i only started playing early c1. I was just following what was established before my time.
Wow...if it was established that everyone in your town had to jump off a bridge, would you too? O.o
If I didn't agree with it I would be PKed. So If someone in party tells you if you dont share teh drop they will PK you, will you keep it? You also will never find a party in Cruma ever again....as cruma was the lvling place back then. It is the law of the land... I dare you to keep a drop from a party and find out what happens. Last guy who did that on bartz in cruma that I know of had to reroll....all that for a mithril dagger lol.
Just a comment from someone from a different server:

This thread was a really interesting read. Bartz is really really different than my server apparently. Noone has ever split drops on Hindemith. If you get the drop, its yours, and everyone says grats ^^ Noone has ever heard of, or even remotely thought about such a concept as drop splitting (except maybe some close friends in clan parties occasionally, but it's certainly not a recognised convention).

Interesting how completely different the culture is on different servers dont you think?

Glad I chose Hindemith. I don't like the idea of having to bid for (i.e. PAY FOR) an item that I got by good fortune in a party.

You picked up Bow of Peril.

"Oh great, now I have to cough up millions adena to bid, just to keep the drop that I actually got!"

Doesn't make sense to me...

If someone else in the party gets it, grats to them...your turn will come eventually, you have as much chance as anyone else.
Ardeur,
Honestly, I have no opinion one way or another about who gets what in a drop. I'm simply here for the game play and interaction. I've never been one who focuses on the stuff I may or may not get. So, I'm indifferent for that reason. However, I have been rather spoiled by partying with such generous people. It makes sense to share drops, especially if someone else needs it. If I got a drop that someone else in the party needed, I would give it over without expectation of compensation. This just makes sense to me.

Drop rates must be insane on your server, because in 2 years of playing a good 10+ hours a day, ive gotten only 2 full weapon drops, 3 armor drops, and 2 jewlry drops (in and out of party included ie didnt go to me). I think il move to your server were everyones getting bop's droped to them and nobody cares if you keep it.
lol and I bet next you will say there’s no bots on your server lol

but its a rule on bartz if its a full drop you sell it in party or if no one has enough gold you port to town sell it a bit cheep and split the gold there and if not you call all your friends your clan and your alliance and that moron ends up being forced to reroll also has any one ever thought to maybe make a list of those drop stealers we know about on the server so we know who not to party with ?
I only remember one person that refused to share a party drop on bartz, they got a mithril dagger drop in cruma. He was pked for weeks and then was never seen again. He must of re-rolled. Don't remember thename, this was in c1.

People like you probably inspired this ******ed drop rule on your server.

Of course there are bots on every server. Maybe because hindemith hasn't instated ******ed, mundane, greedy rules like this, we do get more drops. Personally in my parties alone over the last week:

Majestic Earring
Dark Crystal Boots
Damascus
BO Ring

I am a healer so I always hunt in parties. I got one of those drops and was happy for the others, especially the damascus guy.

Also, the more valuable drops to date in my parties:

NM helm
Tallum Helm
Sword of Valhalla

I don't know where you people hunt, but there are drops everyday in Lineage2.
LoL guys the post goes on and on....that drop seems to concern everybody here....BTW i moved to TEON...got drops in groups and no one asked to bid
Because of that drop i understood tha is true what many ppl say about bartz: Bartz is not a server with a mature comunity it's an orphanage where greedy ppl make their own rules and the rest play by those rules
MSG to the dwarf who keep saying he bought the pole from me:
Dude do not complain that u use that pole anymore...if u don't like donate that pole to someone who needs it!!
Happy New Year to allz!
its so clear now. when everyone ebays, it doesnt matter if someone gets a 40 mil dama drop and doesnt share
and if you are a walkered afk 99% of the time healer, how are you going to complain ^_^

Myivy is one of the most respected healers on hindenmith. Don't you go around calling everyone a botter just becuase they have seen a few more drops.

Personally the only 2 drops I ever saw that would have been worth splitting or bidding were
Majestic heavy armor ( everyone was in the same clan but me and I wasn't going to contest it)
Tallum heavy armor there was a big argument on splitting this drop. But everyone is greedy and there is no way to force anyone to do anything. (personally I was mad, 2 suede and tallum plate lying next to each other I got the 2 suede and she got the tallum plate) But hey its a game, whatever is beyond ur reach personally ask the clan and they can provide it :D
walker...ebay....throwing out mindless insults because you never bothered to learn about the manor system or make a scavie I suppose....think before you speak child....

Angel, I am happy for you that you found a more mature server, you deserve one.
lvl 68 bounty hunter checking in! 68 levels of being forced to share everything, and you think the more mature thing to do is to let someone just walk off with a drop the group got? The whole arguement behind sharing spoils is that they were earned through group effort, how would a full drop be any different?

It isn't an baseless acusation and you know it. child.
If you bought everything with your credit card, which his server is notorious for, why would you care about the drops? You don't need the money!

When a group of real players, who have to spend half their time doing the mannor earnning maybe 100k a week proffit see's 40 million drop on the floor, they will want a piece of it and you know it.
Whoa now...I know for a fact that the manor can yield in excess of a million PER WEEK.
It is all a matter of knowing what is sellign for what, which seeds are giving the best returns in which towns, and which mats are in high demand with no supply.
It's not rocket science hun.

do you play on bartz?
I do not, BUT, there is a place called the castle control map, it shows your server, who owns what castle, tax rate, and (drumroll please) Seed prices. All of your manors appear to be actually running, and not bad at the prices either.
Maybe you need to learn more about the manor?
yes i know the manor well, i have accumulated many many seeds that i cannot return, and i do try right at the strike of 8 but have been unsuccessful in about the last 30-45 attempts to turn in my seeds. I have abandoned the manor system as a viable source of income and have concentrated on my warsmith. I have accumulated over 1 billion in items and adena, so dont try and say im noob. But for bartz, the manor system is a real pain in the butt. I have played on devianne and noticed you can turn in crops from manor system there, would be nice if you could do that on bartz.
Actually, the manor system is in serious crisis since C3. The problem is well documented. A single seed yeilding multiple fruit and a hard limit on the number of fruit that can be bought back by the manor lords has produced a surplus of fruit that cannot be sold back.

Add to this situation the fact that the botmasters have created programs to insta-redeem the fruits and the average manor user cannot sell back his fruit.

THAT is the situation on Bartz. It has gotten a little better recently (I'm not sure why) but there is still a lot of unredeemed fruit out there.

MOREOVER

I find it interesting that you consider SHARING to be greed motivated. What screwed up kindergarten did YOU attend?

Finally, if you are from hindsmith, GO BACK TO YOUR OWN FORUMS! We don't want your kind here. My god, not only are you trolls, but you are trolling a forum that doesn't even concern you.

Begone!
As to my server, guess again my dear..as it was your avatar that first got me to even read this forum...

Anywho, yes, the bot/farmer/manor problem is incredibly well documented, and a pain in the rear on more servers than yours, so don't say wah...we all manage it eventually.

What, nobody knows how to petition these thigns when they see them appear ten minutes to turn in and stand there still as statues for three plus hours right on top of the manor guy?

Sharing isn't the issue here...I still don't hear about people trying to share my 14k oriharukon ore drop....adn even you all say that's just silly...what's so silly about it? If you insist that if I don't have enough money to bid on MY OWN DROP, then what makes it so preposterous and idea for you to bid on my smaller drops? A drop is a drop is a drop in my eyes, and yes, I STILL congratulate the fortunate in my group.

and so the cycle restarts, your eyes are not the eyes of bartz, your opinion is nice and works on other servers but thats not how things are done on bartz.

Every server has its differences just as every culture has its differences. Bartz has developed its own culture and rules of ethics as have the other servers.

You should respect the unwritten rules of bartz or play somewhere else, which you have chosen to do.

have fun playing on your server.

then what makes it so preposterous and idea for you to bid on my smaller drops? A drop is a drop is a drop in my eyes, and yes, I STILL congratulate the fortunate in my group.

To those of us who don't bot, don't ebay, and most of all, are not insane, we can see the slight difference between a spoil every-other-monster-10k-piece of oriharukon ore and a once in a life time, 50 million BOP drop.

Btw, there was a time when we did bid on the smaller materials like ori ore, but we have grown out of it as they became much more common. When bops start raining from the sky like iron ore does, I'm sure we will phase out the rule for them as well.

And btw, millions from the manner? Yeah, the bots are probably making millions. We are lucky to buy 10 seeds and maybe sell 5 fruit back... and thats usually for 100 per fruit type 2 reward -_-;

Quoting because he had a particularly good point in reference to decent drops.

Just because you don't get into groups with lots of decent drops, doesn't mean those groups don't exist.
The drops are out there, go get em tiger.
this is retarted if yur noit from bartz go back to what ever hople you crawled out from this is our server you split drops or you get pked til lyou re roll just be sure the drops worth al lthe time your going to lose. the rerson is noty that theay dont happen its fairness when you get some thing that big you share it with every one you might be the one shareing and not like it but later on doen the road when your the on receiveing you wont be complaneing then it all comes back to you
Wow, take a breath man....slow and steady there....

No, I have never complained when someone I was partied with has received the luck of a great drop, adn I never will. Just like I have never had someone awful enough to tell me to come up with money for the drop I received.
You all want to act like there is no reason for things like the party set up function. If you want to share your drops, set it by turn, but for god's sake, don't force peopel to give up those once in a lifetime drops. Whats the point in that really?
Party spoils:item by turn including spoils
I think that says enough...hell...I don't even think the poor spoiler should be forcedto share his one perk of a skill with the entire group, but that's a game mechanic.
You all want to throw down over something so stupid.
Look, if you are in a party where everyone understands those are your rules, whatever, who am I to say you are wrong? BUT IF you come to these forums to complain because you want to force someone to bow down to your rules WHEN THEY DODN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THOSE RULES (which IS the reason for this thread) then you are jsut being petty and childish.
Go use the time you troll to go level and maybe, jsut maybe, you will get the good drops too.

its so clear now. when everyone ebays, it doesnt matter if someone gets a 40 mil dama drop and doesnt share
and if you are a walkered afk 99% of the time healer, how are you going to complain ^_^

I happened to be scrolling down to my server's posts while at work, and saw the title. It intrigued me, so I read a few pages on what turned out to be a public lynching over a 10-11m drop.

Its cruma rofl. Not DN or TOI. You guys persecuted a player for keeping a weapon that dropped into their inventory. Good thing this is just a game.

To my benefactor who lovingly threw some pretty neat names at me:

I am a clan leader in one of the first and oldest alliances on Hindemith. By the grace and strengh of my clan, I am a castle Lord. I have never experienced L2 walker nor ebayed my gear. I quested for countless hours for my c grade staff and A grade armor. Not because I need it to heal, but because I wanted it for my toon that I enjoy playing. I have been playing L2 for well over a year now and have amassed a little wealth under the special events that have occured.

I am not sure what respect you garnered from anyone with your immature response, or what type of response you endeavored to solicit, but I sincerely hope your modicum of credibility was lost with the senseless response you had.

From what I have read here though, you will probably get a pat on the back for correctly describing the evil ivy. Maybe you should come to the hindemith server and start an anti-Ivy campaign in hopes that all the peasants will revolt and throw out the dion-castle lord because she won't share her drops with the group she was in.

To quote the infamous Elishka:
"Happy Hunting"

P.S. I thoroughly expect some childish server remark.
" dont force people to give up theses once in a life time drops "

by not selling it in the party your forcing not 1 but 8 people to give them up it is farness and equlaty thayt you share it in a mixed party

btw [censored] off your not from bartz so you dont have asny right ot talk about how we run our server
Drop shareing is the moral thing to do. I shared my zubei tunic just the other day with 4 other guys, it fell into my bag but no 1 even questioned what was happening to it. In the end we sold to party member 50% discount.

Not telling you how to run your server genius, the people as a mass do that. I commented on how your views added to a making a fellow human being not able to play lineage2. Such a small trifle of keeping a drop. I am sure there are greater evils on your server that you watch go by and do nothing about...just like the rest of us do.

The guy pleaded his side, and yet was still snubbed by the people in town.

Fallen, if I were you man, I would run out of town and let them earn extra PK's on my toon so they can waste countless hours of their precious time to clean their karma. Then go exp and get some drops that you can keep elsewhere.
In the end its totally down to how you like to role play your char. You can be the good guy and drop share, in the process makeing some good friends and generally feeling good about it.
Or you can be the little jerk who keeps it and soe's as fast as possible, who in the end makes no friends and has people think bad of him. You can be good or you can be less good in this game.
Ah...but, as said in an earlier post, what if I am the person that likes to CHOOOOSE how I share my drop?
Most full drops I have recieved in parties has been donated to needy friends in game, unless it's so useless I jsut crush it for crystals.
If I have no desire to let you take my drop for less than HALF the market price, so you can just go sell it and make more adena than you are offering my whole group, then I should have that right to say no, WITHOUT the flames on the boards. I think it is disgusting that someone came here just to flame a person (thereby turning the whole server against her/him) for keeping a drop, when NOBODY EVER TOLD HER/HIM about your stupid rules to begin with. ONLY one person in the entire group had a problem with her keeping the drop, and he came here to [censored]. And you obviously don't read, because if you did, you would know all this by now.
Try to act like you have a brain....I say it is incredibly selfish of you to tell me what to do with my drop. Period.
Oh and, BTW, she also didn't soe aas fast as possible, she stayed with the party a while, it was the complainer that couldn't find another person to bid with within the group that soe'd and left. I imagine he did so to come [censored] on the forums though...

Or you can be the good guy who is lucky enough to get a drop, is happy about it and keeps it, wholeheartedly confident of doing the right thing. Playing on Hindemith, when someone gets a drop in a group I am in, people say "grats" and thats it. I have never been in a party where anyone demanded to split the drop or buy it for a reduced price.

Your post implies that everyone who does it different than you is wrong (aka "bad guy"). Nice ego there.
I have been playing on Bartz for over a year now as well, Almost always in a random group and I have never once seen anyone do this. We just congrat the guy and keep killing. Just becuause some people do want to share drops, doesn't mean its how Bartz does it. Personally it wouldn't bother me if I ever saw a big drop and it was shared out, since with my luck, I almost never get them, lol, its always someone else in party, but I never get ticked, its just the luck of the game. Maybe if the party was in finders keepers mode and they grabbed it, it would be a different story, but most parties are in share by turn, and the odd one random, and if someone lucks out, woo hoo congrats.

that's cause, going by your sig, you aren't a very high lvl... when you can into dvc heart or toi or dn and if you get a large drop and u expect people to say 'gratz' don't count on it happening... you will be pked... you will be kicked from party... you will be kos to clans that u are partied with... if u are taged wars have started over this... however at early lvls most people u are playing with are alts or rerolls and nobody cares if a brig tunic drops... but if a BoP drops and you pick it up... you better either plan to share or plan to be pked a lot if u are in a random group...

Bartz shares drops...
Alright i have to take a stab at this one. I have been on bartz since retail went live. From the first time i got a drop in a party in orc barrax was when i knew about the drop bidding rule. I was in a Highly repected clan for most of my time in lineage, Nexus formaly Ashura. Ever drop i have ever seen drop was shared. In fact i remeber one time a guy took a drop and logged (obviously he knew the drop rule but didnt wish to comply) so me and 2 others waited 4 hours till he logged in and pked him. He eventually gave it back so we split it, but we pked him again still out of princaple. I have gotten maybe 3 armor drops and 1 weapon drop my entire lineage time. If it wasnt for the drop bidding rule i wouldnt be able to have the things i do. Its fair its good it works and its our way. And about all these people from other servers, if your christian go walk into a jewish chruch and tell them how to pray, Its ours we made the rules and we will be enforcing them. I just wish we could have a server vs server day to kick all of your [censored].
I only group with my clan, Most of the time when something drops... It goes to that person UNLESS someone in that group needs it. In mixed parties, I don't share drops. You want to share your drop, fine you do it, but I got it, its mine. You can say I'm greedy or what ever, I don't really care.
Well as i read this forum, i kinda see both sides of this story. I am kinda new to the bartz server, but i have made quite a few friends on it so far, it seems to me that some ppl just see that some rules are hidden, but how are they supposed to know. Thats why the rules of a party need to be set before going out hunting, if a person does'nt like the rules of that party then they can always find another one. But as for the KoS and pking over drops, thats just ridiculous...everyone just needs to remember that its only a game and its here to give entertainment, and to meet new ppl, whether they are good or bad. And with the luck issue, if the loot is on random and party rules have not been set, and a peep gets a nice drop then it is up to that peep who has that item to give it away, sell it or do whatever they please. If you want a drop that bad to make money in a game then you are'nt playing the game for its real purpose, which is to HAVE FUN!!!!

Dude i explained several time that: I DID NOT SOED after i got the drop, honneychile soed because he was sad that no one wanted to bid except her! It was my drop, i had few adena then so how to bid ? what chances do i got to bid? maybe honneychile is a farmer and he got lots of adenas to bid and that's why he was for biding!
About Cruma Rule: when u start the game u saw some notices about drop sharing? is something written in EULA about Cruma Rule? No its not so how the hell should i know about that rule?
In the end stop calling ppl jerks just because u did not got a full drop and because u are to greed to congratulate a person for a liftime drop!

Hmm...I have played numerous MMO's and i would agree with this person. Thats what those options are for. Autosplit. If you didn't want to share it should be established before you are in a group. If you are in a group and you are hunting a specific items down then yes, it should go to whomever was looking for it since thats why your there, but that should be established before the first mob is even touched and EVERYONE needs to agree on it. If you are in a pickup group it shuold go to whomever gets it and good for them. Thats what clans are for, when looking for specific drops and such. If you don't understand this then you should go back to playing Diablo or something where you can keep everything.

because you want to force someone to bow down to your rules WHEN THEY DODN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THOSE RULES (which IS the reason for this thread) then you are jsut being petty and childish.

Being ignorant of the law does not give you immunity from it. When in rome, do as the romans do. ITS PRETTY SIMPLE.

If you visit a foriegn country and break one of their obsecure laws, you arn't going to get by sotch free just because you were ignorant of it.

Actually ignorance of the law DOES grant you some immunity. And secondly, you didn't read the second post very well. Fallen followed the rules of his group. No one asked for his item except for one person, who then fled the party after his request for a bid was ignored. So the law was majority rules. It's all so simple.

I've been playing on this server for over a year and have played in several Cruma parties. Only on 5 occasions have there been bids. This bidding thing you speak of is rare and archaic. I have no problems with bidding for items, as I have done a few times, but the option to auto split the drop seems quite fine for everyone here. Some of you are shaking your heads.... I guess I'm a theif and a dishonest player becuas I don't know how you old timers do it. Laws are written, and trends change. I don't like the way some of you have this Holier than you attitude toward someone that by the actions of his party and normal playing habbits of everyone I've partied with in the last year, doesn't seem wrong. As for the person who purchased the weapon, I'm sure your heart goes out to those poor destitute party members of the seller. The ones who didn't give a **** one way or the other about the Widowmaker. I'm sure you'll shed your tears, while you're bashing your mobs into oblivion.

Don't get me wrong. The bid for high drops is fine. I respect it. I just rarely see it. But I do think its wrong for you to tell someone that bidding is the way it should be done. If a party is doing it as "make it take", dont cry "bid", and then pout if over-ruled. Bidding does take a certain amount of time. To alot it seems not worth it I guess.

For the record, my post name is my player name. If you want to turn your nose up at me then fine. Ask around. I've never cheated anyone. I'm an honest player that missed the first chronicle and play according the new school rules.

Judge me, and I'll judge you back.

Im not sure on what server or what game have you been playing, since I started playing back in OB time EVERY party drop (full drop that is) I have seen was shared and noone ever biached about it. Full drops are quite rare and it was an effort of the whole party if you got one so it should be equally shared among all party members, you can't just say its mine because it was my luck to pick it up, it was luck of the whole party to get this drop. Its not rare or archaic its common sense, close friends and clan parties might or might not treat drops diffrently but for a party of random ppl bidding is the only right way.

We aren't exactly disagreeing. Drops are definatly handled differently among different groups. My gaming experience in L2 is different from some others. The point is, his party didn't have an issue, except one. Had I been party leader, I'd have tried to accomodate everyone. Even now at higer levels if someone needs the parts I've picked up then they are free to have them. It's sharing in it's own sense. With the way things go in the game from time to time...most of us party with people we know and trust. You're right however, the bidding seems better with random parties, and random ones are the only ones I've seen bidding in. But we dont know that his party was random, nor is it right to pass judgment on others because we think differently. I knew of no such rule, and if you read his post neither did he. He was willing to do the bidding should everyone agreed.

I don't have a problem with bidding, but like I said, it's something I've seen rarely. Not everyone has played as long as some, and it's wrong to assume that everyone is playing by your rules. That's the only point I have. Don't assume anything. There are so many people from so many countries playing, different languages, and more importantly different ages. Common sense isn't always common, and such rules should be layed out clearly before the party starts, and need to be explained for any new invites to a group. That is the right way. Fallen's situation was handled poorly from the start, and I can't say it's entirely his fault. Had things been clearly layed out, there'd be no question. Take it as a lesson learned. I do.

Zephro, I understand that some subjects are touchy, but such rancor like this doesn't do anything to make anyones experience better. Old subject, new year. Sometimes people make mistakes and are sorry. Nor does the EULA state that someone must be of certain intellegence to play the game. You don't seem to even be involved in the event, honestly....Why all the hate?

Dude 1st of all as i already told i quit playing Bartz, now i'm on Teon and 2nd i have lots of friends here on Bartz so think before u threaten anyone !!!

In the end stop calling ppl jerks just because u did not got a full drop and because u are to greed to congratulate a person for a liftime drop!

my god you must be the dumbest person alive you know the rule but your still defending what you dud screw it I am going to hunt you tonight just for shear stupidity

also its SOE Adena greedy "a ONCE in a life time "

your stupidity is making my brain hurt

Lol "u going to hunt me?" Who the hell u think u are dude, u think u are a mighty god around or what?
U were not in that group then and it seemed u did not understand what happened....what's the anger for?
This game was made to make us have fun but it seems some ppl take it in the wrong way...Dude i think u are only a 13 years old virgin who got problems in real life by beeing persecuted by friends and now u found urself a 60+ char who think he can play GOD here...
Dude 1st of all as i already told i quit playing Bartz, now i'm on Teon and 2nd i have lots of friends here on Bartz so think before u threaten anyone !!!
In the future read several times beforu u make a point of view!

woot! another drop stealer off the searver... mission accomplished.

Zephro, I understand that some subjects are touchy, but such rancor like this doesn't do anything to make anyones experience better. Old subject, new year. Sometimes people make mistakes and are sorry. Nor does the EULA state that someone must be of certain intellegence to play the game. You don't seem to even be involved in the event, honestly....Why all the hate?

drop stealers in cruma in c1 so its a touchy subject

Correction 75 alliance leader want to bet i have more friends ?

woot! another drop stealer off the searver... mission accomplished.

**** stright ^^ :D
wow lmao... and i thought some of my groups were full of drama over silly things >.>
How pathetic really. An ally leader(prolly playing for years here) that actually DRIVES PPL AWAY from the server he play on.Let New players make the game-not the old ones. What do you want?To play with the same ppl and have the same scenarios over and over and over again?Btw im on Teon too-come hunt me!This thing about full drop bids isnt happening on Teon AT ALL.And guess what...i dont CARE who gets what (it doesnt matter that im 60+ with a homu sword) because this game is more than adena and items. Its just bad that most ppl on Bartz think the same(good thing i picked Teon :)).
how can other servers play this game and say drops dont matter? must be massive ebaying on other servers. I would be so ****** off if somoene walked away with a damascus drop, seriously this is insane. How does teon even gets items??? i talked to people from other server and it seems bartz has the cheapest A grade armor, and even then i am disgusted by the pricing of A grade helmets....I also seen how teon is all full of A grade, and with prices like that ebaying must be rampant. My suggestion is shut up if you know nothing of bartz, and if older clans want to hunt down some drop stealer newbie to the end of the earth I have nothing against it, it is good to enforce the laws of the land to do that, sharing drops makes random parties fun and ebaying less, less ebay = less farmers
Look mate im here to have FUN.I told you i have homu no?So if a guy in my party gets a dama i wont ask for a piece of the profits. Why?because i dont want to get everything today.Im ready to take my time with better equip. And if an entire ally cant make 1 dama sword...well this speaks how good they are.Maybe because Teon is the newest server and the players here are new and dont care so much about being #1 but to have fun..
if your from teon your point is mute get off our forums and go back to yours. bartz has cerent rules that every one on it has to follow if you dont theres concquences. a fue hundred k might not be much to a higher level but at there level that can mean ss for a month or new gear. by that one person you could stand to lose 8 outhers, but keep the greedy one. i would radther lose the greedy person and keep tha 8 outhers that share let teon take the theeves cheets and scammers.
Drop stealer eh?? you say ppl on bartz share drops?? hah i laugh because ppl on bartz dont share anything, i died and droped my armor once a dwarf and his friend came and took it from me....

and as for drop stealers these are the ones who should be hunted down not the ones from the parties, beacuse they are the true drop stealers!!

as for all these ppl from c1....you may have made these rules and so called regulations, but as for me i started at the end of c2 so i never knew about all the "rules" that "everyone" seems to know about till recently when a clannie of mine got a 60% rec: Kriss drop in apostate....the rules were not set before the party was made and she didnt know about these "rules" either...so the ppl in the group were threatening her right after she got the drop to give it up, and if they would have asked nice before hand she would have prolly just gave it to them and they could have delt with it all.

trust me... they are hunted down... unless it was a bot... then it isn't worth the time.

now you know. although I don't think a 60% kris falls under drop-rule... your clanmate could have told the party to -_- off and prolly would have had the support of the searver... I know I would split recipie... but if it was a kris... you bet your *** you bid on it.
ya the rec i can see that not being split justl ike the spow bow stave i got last nifnt its mine not auction and theay are just look on Bla* about how menney threads there is whos main is ****** etc normaly theay get ansers too
