Forgive me for suggesting this, but I think the timing is right for a truce between M, NM, and SVP for the following reasons:
(1) NM once again has Aden, as it was before the "war" started. This in itself should be reason enough, since the loss of the Aden by NM and the manner in which it was done is now a thing of the past.
(2) NM and SVP (and Koga) have defeated Antharas, thus we have something in common we can hold onto as the leading NA server. This is a major accomplishment we all should be proud of.
(3) C4 is on the horizon, and I know there are people who want to XP in peace. I personally think there are alot of people on both sides who would welcome the freedom to XP between now the the release of C4.
This isn't an opportunity to say who won the war, or who owned who in specific battles. We can still continue the battle at seiges, or more importantly can agree to PVP/PK in the race/fight to defeat Antharas again or Zekan or Baium. I personally feel we can limit the PVP/PK to AL, TOI 13, and Devil's Isle, or even extend the PK/PVP areas to the jewels (part of Antharas quest) and TOI 7 (part of Baium quest).
I am in no way representing the M alliance. This is just my personal opinion. I have personally enjoyed the war, from both sides of the PVP/PK (yes, I have fun when being PKed - I know its hard to believe). But, I honestly think both sides could benefit from a truce. If this war were to ever end, I think the present is a perfect time. Otherwise, people will starting playing the game less (actually, I believe this has already happened) or even consider leaving the game entirely, which neither side wants. And if it doesn't end now, I honestly don't think it ever will.
I welcome thoughts, suggestions, even flames. But, I think it is time for Hugo, and Mollyswrath and Linda to get together and call a truce. I think this can be done with mutual respect to each other and their respective alliances.

I Don't mind the PvP, nor am i scared of it, but i suppose there are some friendships that can be renewed ( Bodrigal <3 ), but who knows what ... i go either way, im simply a voice, and i do what Jarl asks.

A lot of people quit over the polarization also. It actually reduces the number of interesting sieges, because everyone has to consider the 'global conflict factor.'
Given that there are two huge forces on the server...we had no sieges at either major castle? That's a function of how polarized we are, and how nervous the smaller alliances are to venture outside of Dion and Gludio--not wanting to get wrapped up in all the bs.
Also, causes us not to hunt with friends in NM or M for fear of having to choose between protecting a party mate and staying out of a war.
Bottom line is...the war is inconvenient. If you make peace for a month, think of how much more fun the war will be in December!
Interesting idea MChaf. I dont know if I am for it or against it. I think I'm somewhere in the middle on this. Either way I'm happy. M has proved that we will not back down from someone because they put us KOS because of a siege and we will do our best to take the fighting to them.
I'd say the ball is really in NM's court as far as this is concerned though. They started it so they'll have to be the ones to finish it. If that means that in order for it to end they have to completely kill M off then that it is the way it will be. For as long as I've been with Malevolence we have yet to backdown when others bring the fight to us.

It will really be interesting to see what happens... If there is a truce then a lot of people will be able to exp and get to higher levels closing the gap that some enjoy and the advantages that being level 75 brings to the PvP fight...
Also with C4 coming the war system is going to be getting a major overhall so that will be fun too... I mean some of the reason the NM and M are doing so well in PvP is that there still is a level and equipment gap thou much smaller the in the past, will the battling alliances be willing to give up that last advantage of gears and levels?

M is very aware as to why we are at war. If you consider me mentioning the reason for the war to be a 'sly' trick that I am using then I really dont know what to say. We fight NM because they put us KOS. We fight SVP because they help NM enforce their KOS of us.

And give up clan hall.... nevaaaarrrr! Seriously, this isn't about me. I'm here regardless until this game reaches the end of it's last chronical. It is about the state of the server and the players. Mark my words.... we have to find a balance between PVP/PK and XP. If you hold to one extreme or the other, the number of players on this server will diminish. I have played almost every day since that infamous siege day (yes, I need to spend more time with the wife/kids... shhh) and I'm telling you there are less players in game, which can only be attributed to the constant PVP/PK. I hope you all can get by your biases and give this idea some serious thought before it's too late.
Maybe the answer is an agreement to PVP/PK on weekends from Friday Noon thruough Sunday midnight EST. I dunno, but there are signs everyday that this issue needs to be addressed quickly.

Wasnt a hard image to pull off with the EA leadership being passed off. To say that EA hated, or were more cruel wouldnt really be accurate. I remember running around with draxling/cugine and having killed a group. They logged in their vent, got the IP to a CS server they were killing time on... went in and started killing them in a scrim.. =.= Guess they painted that whole 'hero of the server' image pretty well.
Yes, perhaps Kukai. I don't know the full history of the server (I started last October) but who was it really that made the server 2 sided to begin with? And then kept it one sided for sooooo long until another unnamed alliance broke from them and helped to bring them down? I'd like to know, because in the back of my head I think it was EAA. If I'm wrong please tell me lol. As I said, I don't know the history much prior to last fall. And, perhaps the fact that NM alliance was at 115 members prior to the merg of old EAA and M. NM didnt' want one or 2 sides on the server, they tried desperately to make that not happen! But what do you do when you're outnumbered 3 to 1?
Right, Downie I'm making an assumption of what RC/DEA thought after NM broke from being with the EAA but not in EAA. "should we side with either?" "well we hate EAA more than NM and NM is killing EAA, so lets go with NM?" just an assumption. I Could be wrong here, but DE was still fighting some of teh old EA clans, which carried over to them joining NM... Is not like they joined the better of the 2 .. they really only had 1 option.

Btw Wari, we've never been EA5 in EAA, we've always been our own selves. That's why we survived EAA's fall. That's why we didn't backed off pvping RC when we left EAA.

I like the pvp grinding has gotten pretti boring >< . But I can also understand reasonings and the importance of lvling.
Im indifferent on wheather this war ends or not. I rather enjoy going on pvp runs etc. And wondering if I ganked. Granted I do miss being able to pty with some ppl cause of the war so that part kinda sucks.
Mchaf is right though this war isnt gonna stop unless someone makes an effort to make it a truce. Even without gank feast etc.. Agree with this and also to add Neutrals can freely siege Innadril too so thats 3 castles woot. *and by freely i mean with out thinking *ah **** someones gonna say we are helping so and so and now we are gonna get kosed by so and so*

Anyway, I didnt read all of it.. But my reasons for not stopping this war would be the following.
1. The endless [censored] talk I catch from M members and leaders, when I start catching flames on my real life name I sit back and think for a sec... wasnt this the guy that just wanted a truce the other day and now hes sitting there flaming my rl name? if u wanna keep up the flaming my whole rl name is Kasper Borregaard Strange Lorenzen, so make some fun of it. because ur getting more rediculous, so keep it up.

I know we're in a gank war, but after 1on1's I expect people to be fair, this happend on more occations than myself, I 1v1 vs Tessio and after I win, i run through roughly lets say 50 people of M, I get ganked? Orkanik got ganked midway a 1on1 with M because they said he used CP pots.. ?? I didnt know a charge up is a cp pot, but i might be confused...
This brings me to GnuMar getting ganked outside oren north gate by N when i was doing a 1on1, I got ****** off in vent and told em to lay off, I got him a 94% res and we did the 1v1 after getting buffed up. I got him another res after the 1v1 was over. You can be fair even tho ur in a gank war.
If u expect us to step down and stop the war you should start think about how u act when ur around N... I mean flaming people for their real names or saying they're lying when its clear they dont.
You might see these things as small things, but I just find it funny that a few M members now have proposed the idea, even Linda talked to fetto about it on vent, and now hes denying that it ever happend.

It's not that, they say other things too and I don't want to be a part of that behavior. Granted, I'm not the nicest guy on the server, but I'd rather exp/farm recipes athan gank people cause money is something most of us are short on, since the farmer ban recently. I don't care if I am on KoS, I will not touch anyone I think/know are lower grade than me. I will fight back if attacked, and I may even take shots at people, but if they don't trash talk I'll get them the best rez that I can get if they want it. And I'm not talking about Scroll rez either, if I have a brez, I'll use it because some of us believe in fair fights, and honor.
I'd also have to say that I can't figure out how someone can get at peace with someone who has been really really trashtalking a lot. I mean it for the 2 sides as I know there are trashers in both. I personnally can't, especially if I'd feel somehow "backstabbed" when someone claimed neutrality then took the first possible occasion in getting at war and entered the opposite side. This is meant for the 2 sides as well, at least it works fine with me and I don't want to see the war over.
There are no real accomplishments without adversity. I'm enjoying the war. It gives me a taste of what I put other people through long ago when I play my PR. It humbling to say the least. My goal to level is payback. End this I cant get it... /veto peace

Now as to the whole, who has a reason to keep fighting, just in the past month, a clanmate of mine (well 3 of us, actually), has had to endure racial comments from your alliance and friendly alliances. And we're not talking about the Light Elves look like girls comments, we're talking real life race. I would expect him to get completely annoyed with the situation, but I'm glad for him, he's been silent. If he can let those comments go, I would think you could forgive the name-bashing, and I can forgive those kids in 3rd grade...
No need for a truce. PvP and gank war don't prevent from grinding, it just had a supplementary "danger" factor. I'm not bitter when i get ganked (happened several time), that's part of the deal. Just get over it.

An end to this gank war would be nice. I've had a helluva time trying to get into a party and having friends on both sides doesn't help any either. Lately I've had to duo with my other half which is difficult having to try to figure out a place I can level without worring about getting ganked. I know alot of people have left alliances/quit playing since trying to exp has become somewhat of a joke. Kinda hard when you spend a couple hours exp'g just to have a full gank squad come and take it all away. pvp would be nice - 1v1 especially if it was with a char i could pvp with. getting blasted by 4 **** singers/howlers doesn't make it fun at all. I knew I was getting into something when I joined An4rchy to start with but it's gotten a bit outta hand if you ask me. Been in some rather interesting pvp battles but like i said, getting ganked isn't fun. Let's give it a rest at least for a little while.
