Well, we were considering updating GameGuard to pull this info and send it to a database, but we decided to just ask instead.
(Kidding! No PK!)
Maline, if you're considering as in "have a trip to the store scheduled next week", just pick yes. Otherwise, go ahead and say no. This is for fairly short-term purposes.
Ahh, was for something else than I though then. :D
I picked no anyway - and would have picked yes if I did indeed have a trip planned (currenlty actually not considering it for myself, but was confused that the option was missing).
I use to play L1 and they use to send us all the chronicles in the mail have us install them and then 2 weeks after they sent out the cds they would bring down the servers and restart them with the new chronicles info online.
Perhaps they are going the same way with L2? :) It be great for many people to have hard copies of l2.
I sure hope the hidden message isnt that NC plans on having a C4 dvd. I dont plan on upgrading my machine because the majority of people have dvd players. Regardless of how cheap they are.
YES! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YES! PUT IT ON DVD!! Quit releasing games on CD! AAAAAIIIEEE! DVD drives cost $10, $20 at most for a good one...there's no excuse!
I do, but only on one of my PCs. I have L2 on 3 PCs though.
Stick that option in your poll. ;)
And if this is for distribution of chronicle updates, you'd be better off asking if people have a decent postal service. A large proportion of your NA userbase is nowhere near NA. Something I feel is oft overlooked by NCSoft NA.
Windows 98 please tell me your not serious. The new windows in beta that your like 4 editions behind now lol Sorry to break it to you but it might be time to upgrade your computer just a tad :)
Computers are like Cars ever 4 - 7 years your going to need to trade it in and get a new one.
OMG wow didnt even realize *sniffles* i made the big time now see i knew id make it someday its taken a lot of posts and a lot of arguing but i finnaly got here :) Now on to the other dragon :)
I'm running XP at the moment, and the only problem I have had with it (besides the standard look being of a childs lunch box) is that a lot of old DOS based programs dont work (Red Alert for example :D). I never had that problem with 98, since it was DOS based itself!

And where does this car go to every 4 - 7 years after you are done with it.
That is the silliest thing I think I have ever seen on these forums besides the fact that any server is better than Bartz (just kidding there).
My best two cars were well over 20 years old when I bought them and my current truck is well on its way to 12 years old.
It is interesting, since I am considering a really old car for my next one, seeing as how in the next 10 years, gas will be so costly, I will have to own some type of bicycle to get to work again. At least I will get to have one more American Hot Rod before I turn into some old, cranky man...
68 Mustang coupe - the bomb of a car. Still nothing that looks as good as one of these
68 Firebird - fastest car I have ever owned and still one I wish I had.
No, you gave them your concent when you clicked on "Accept".
You click Accept AFTER GG runs. So you haven't given them any authorzation to do anything yet. Of course if you downloaded the client then you have accepted but if you just happened to find a CD somewhere (Back of an EBGames Truck =X j/k) you haven't agreed to anything yet.
Edit: Is the EULA in the install? Haven't done it for many months now so I don't remember.
two things:
1. I had a DVD drive. it swallowed a bug (literally, a large beetle), and when it spun up, squished it and ruined the lens. disgusting, truly, truly disgusting. you have no idea.
so no dvd drive atm, no point either, dvd movies get played elsewhere, and not enough games come on DVD to make it worthwhile. I bought a cd burner to replace it, which was useful.
2, chuckhobo, SHORTEN THE URL IN YOUR SIG common courtesy for those of us still running at 1024x768 and under, 'kay? don't make me file a formal complaint, I hate doing that.

What if the player who clicked is below the age for legal consent. Also the EULA can be changed. After playing many times I don't think anyone bothers to read the EULA more than once. Anyway, this is my last post on this subject. I just wonder about such things and really don't care.

Thats not NCSofts fault. By clicking Accept you agree you are old enough and read it. Every time.
I heard a rumor that NC were going to do a new light interface without a gui.
The games starts for noobs with "You are standing in a medow next to a small white house.."
If you understand this, Did you ever get past the rainbow?
