It's been brought to many peoples attention, many times, farmers kill raid bosses.
There is a problem there that many level 75 players must deal with. It's hard to get to 3rd 8th and 11th floor on ToI following a farmer group. Most of the time they don't let you come.
I would like the raid bosses needed for such important and essentail quests to NOT give Experience or Drops once killed.
I have yet to see a farmer farming quest mobs and i think they will back off of our quest bosses once it is no longer lucrative to kill them. :D
I agree. If a raid boss is associated with a quest, it should be accessible to all. Having to fight others going after the mob for seperate reasons seems foolish.
Well, my reasoning here, was; You use a lot of shots to take down a raid boss, so when it's time for someone to get the boxes, people will be easier to drag to the raids. I know, I know, if you're in a good clan, ally, people are going to help regardless. But you know, you catch more flies (or whatever insect...) with honey. And again, so many shots needed to take down a raid boss! With xp there's a reward for everybody.
Farmers who are at the appropriate level to take these down, hardly do anything for xp. They are the level they want to be for the most part.
this is actually something i never even thought of, but its absolutely right, the purpose of killing these bosses is to fulfill a quest...check any of the lvl 40 class transfer quests, and there is special mobs to kill to obtain quest items for fulfilling your second class transfer. How is this any different than having to kill raid bosses to fulfill another quest that involves changing classes? raidbosses that are specifically part of quests should have the exact same drop system has "quest monster" mobs, u kill them, u get the quest item, no adena, no exp, no drops...and people could continue on with their game...
in regards to other raid bosses, measures can be tried over and over again to rid the server of monopolies, and i know I for one, will continue fighting, but until that time comes where hindemith stands up and unites against these people, at least give us the opportunity to finish lvl 75 quests, without these, how are we going to progress through the game? Answer: we won't.
ok, so how would you make Baium into a Raid Boss, cause hes an epic boss, I agree though about making quest bosses, cause this whole farming thing is EXACTLY why quest mobs were created in the first place.

I'm not sure it would be possible at all with Baium.
They'd have to take away the Ring of Baium and that wouldn't go over too well.
Maybe if they did something about the quest or entry to his room, any ideas?

Take Baium out of the quest altogether. That way you can leave him the way he is.
On the subject of Raid Bosses in general, make them all spawn at the same time. The Raid Boss farmers would have to be pretty large and well organised to take out simultaneous Raid Boss spawns. Until they come up with a better solution, this would alleviate the farmer issue somewhat.
