L2Story - More Official Illustrations

As everyone no doubt knows by now, I can't read a word of Korean, but I'm easily attracted by shiny things (http://www.lineage2.co.kr).

That is how I happened upon a particular gem (http://bbs.lineage2.co.kr/board/l2story/list/list.asp?bbs=l2story). Now I clicked on all the links to look at all the pictures, which are apparently illustrations to something called L2Story. If the pictures are any indication, it's a part of the lore, based loosely on character stories. I figured you all would be too lazy to look through all the links to find the pretties - aren't you always? - so here, some direct links.

Disclaimer: I didn't draw this. Furthermore, I am not witty and am not trying to be - but having names on the links will help finding them again easier if you look again, or talking about them for that matter. Some chapters contain no pictures, others had broken links. :(

My Korean translation isn't all that great anymore.

But what it looks like is that its concept art for a L2 Movie of some sort. What they look like to me are Storyboarding type pictures. Wish they actually did somekind of L2 Movies like the um.... Cross Rancor I believe.

I'd pay good money for a book full of L2 concepts. And it'd make a good present for a friend =)

I bought a Japanese L2 book called "Visual Handbook" that was pretty useful for some of my comics that I have done. I saw a new one called "The Ark" in the newest Previews book. It's Japanese and will be going for $50ish. I'll let you know how it is when I get it.

We can all unite our Not Reading Korean skills and still get the best out of the homepage! I will keep trying to push the ocassional image guide or post like this while we don't have the content they have, and would encourage everyone else to do the same. :)

Ive seen those on ToI 6th and above, platinum tribe mobs. The right one, is the Platinum Tribe Shamam

Figures... I never stepped foot in the place. Soloing > grouping afterall.

Platimum Tribe Overlord is the Top Left
Platimum Tribe Shaman is the Top Right

The Bottom Left is probably a Platimum Tribe Guardian, or they are Mobs from the Valley of Saints in C4. I love the Shaman it looks awesome.

Note: All Orc's look awesome in any picture in that list.

- I'm working on a Portrait of my Tyrant.. should be finished soon. Then i'm gonna try to draw her in an Action Pose.. but my drawing isnt really too good.. so it may take a while.

There seems to be several guide books, at least three doujinshi (fan manga - I have one of them, the one with the elf in Doom Robes on the cover) and perhaps three artbooks. Using google translator on the book page yields some information. You can probably use one of those Order from Japan services, or if you're lucky to have a Kinokuniya near you...

As for the pictures - they're very awesome, and I really wish we had these stories up on our website too, as well as the Character Stories for all ther Server Characters (Shikken, Alkadia, etc) especially since several of the higher-grade quests mention them.
