No. Lovenan was a leader of BH subclan and he left Hinde before i came here more than a year ago. The person who technically "acquired" clanhall as you put it is our leader Stellar, and we were gathering money for CH all together.

Depends on what the clan has in mats I suppose.
I have my Sword of Miracles because I got lucky on the inf ore quest and got 10 blades.
Besides some other miscellaneous mats, the clan had the rest. We have been lucky in that we have had several people with higher lvl dwarves who love and live to craft.
All depends on how close the clan is.
When BlackDawn was "young" I made a dwarf alt so that I could make money for the clan. I made enough to get every melee that reached 40 into comp armor and the few mages into some corresponding robe.
The only thing I ever asked was for them to put in 10k adena. That was it. Some people state emphatically that no clan should ever ask for money, but if the group is good then there tends to be more "give and take".
If the clan leader is willing to work for the members then the members need to work for clan.
Just before I left the game for a few months (turning the clan over to another) we had a program where our members would pour in all their mats. From this we would try to get them into whatever their next grade was... at least to some extent AND we would also craft higher lvl items to sell for a clan warchest.
It was with that warchest that the Aden clan hall was originally bought.
Now... I would never ask for people to sell their items for a clanhall. But since BH has been around for so long, I presume that they are, in some ways, a family. They trust each other and work with each other and I believe I read some know each other in real life. They most likely discussed it beforehand and came to an agreement.
So you might have had a few people offer to sell their armor, or a weapon etc.
If they have enough dwarves they should be able to get it all back.
Essentially we see a clan that works together for the same goals. Interesting because so many times I see people yelling that they want to get into a good supportive clan, only to leave the clan when they get what they came for.
It's nice to see a clan that is made up of people who really are just that: "A Clan". They work together for common goals. Sure... in this case the goal is not to take down a Raid Boss but it is a worthy goal as the clan hall will not only aid in their lvling, it will also allow them to make money for the clan.
It's good to see and I'm sure that they will be around for quite a long time :p

i said nothing of selling my gear i have, just that it is very possible to make more adena the same way i made it to get that 120 mil....considering if you don;t use ss or potions or lose money in anyway, i still don;t think you will have 120mil by lvl 61, you have to find other means.....it is easy to make adena in this game, just some ways take longer than others....i made all my adena while sleeping and at work, maybe 10-20 minutes while i'm home to visit mammon....whoopdee doo, easy as it gets :P

I started my SH on May 27 and shes gonna be 70 by the time C4 is out.(with a 4 month layoff when my first child was born) In my opinion, you were penalized for starting in prelude. Noobs get so much help now on a new account it's ridiculous. You can be 25 in a day. Used to take 2 months.
true to that. my origional toon back in prelude took 6 months to hit 45 *part time job, no GF, social life out the window*and then i quit the game....when i came back in C3 things had changed...i hit lvl 52 in one month flat! and this was while maintaining a real life, full time and part time job, and a full time girlfriend. This just proves to me how nc is gearing towards newbs so that they can catch up a bit and maintain intrest in this game *this is a good thing IMO* but also allowes for high lvl alt pker's. were just gunna have to trust that those do not scare the new players away :P

Haven't seen Ducceus tank a raid boss but all I can say is grinding the hard way in standard partys (mixing with AoE Partys occasionally too) will make you a much better tank than just constant AoE...
Its easy enough to be a tank. It takes experience to be a good tank. Level with just AoE and you'll find you lack tanking ability/experience in partys.

I teach hundreds of students a day, standing in front of them, motivating them, inspiring them and insuring they are successful in my class in order to graduate.
All throughout university, where you are now, I routinely stood in front of hundreds giving speeches and arguing points. I have several First Place awards from Forensic debate and Model United Nations including First Prize from Princeton University Model UN, Florida State University Model UN, and Stetson University Model UN just to name a few.
So, if you are implying that I am some kind of wall flower that only has courage to state opinions on a discussion thread, you are sorely mistaken.
I enjoy the banter and trying to push your buttons like I did with all of those other pseudo-intellectual types who read a couple of books and think that because they go to college they are smarter than the average person. Hell, I used to think that in my first year of uni, when I was in the Ayn Rand club and we discussed useless drabble as young college students are often apt to do, that I was sooooo intellectual and soooo much smarter than everyone else. It is because, intellectually, you are a youth and novice.
Trust me, you will grow up one day. When you are in your 30’s, you will see what a ***** you were and wonder why nobody punched you in the teeth. ^^

When I was younger I felt a certain "superiority" and all of that "I'm better than everyone else".
Then as I started growing I realized that everyone has their story and that good people reside in all walks of life whether construction worker, Scientist, Janitor etc.
It gets tiring to judge people.. found that my life became a lot better when I allowed people to have their humanity.

No no, you get me wrong. I have a Juris Doctoris, which is the equiv to a Doctor of Medicine that your average MD gets. But that was just the icing on the cake of study that i REALLY enjoyed; that being my Bachelor in Political Science.
I want to put my Bach of Poli Sci under my Juris Doctoris law degree, but my snubby Ivory Tower collegues poo pooed on the idea. Probably because they would have to show that they went to public schools during their first 4 years :p

I have an undergraduate in Poli Sci too. I was hell bent on either becoming a foreign service officer or a lawyer. My first day in Constitutional Law I, my professor, an old lawyer himself, asked how many of were going to try and enter law school and then have a career in it. All of raised our hands. He then yelled at us for the eintire hour telling us how the US puts out more than lawyers than all of the world combined and how the majority of us would be working for the public defenders office for 25k a year for the first few years putting in 80 hours a week. Then, if we were lucky we would be able to pay back our student loans working for a law firm, again at 80 hours a week.
Well, that put a kaibosh on my wanting to go to law school. hehe
But I am glad I did, because I went into teaching and loved it. I loved it so much that I made straight 4.0 in my masters program in education. I loved it so much that working on action research and thesis was real fun. There is nothing like loving what you do ^^ I dont make any money, but boy I have the ability to help lots of kids everyday. Sounds corny, but hey, I also get ultimate power too, and 90 days off a year, and I can come home at 4 pm.
All in all teaching is great. :)
