HI, right now im a bit confused. Im currently a lv 22 monk going for tyrant (obviusly) but now one of my friends told me that tyrants sux. He told me that Punch of Doom and hurricane assult are nerfed :confused: but from what ive read they seem to be a ggod choise :( im really confused. some info about how a monk/ tyrant is in PvP / PvE / Sieges would be appreciated to.
tyrans is the best melee damage dealer and is probably one of the very few melee class that can own a nuker/archer.
they are very good; not early on.. but it's a very decent class.
your friend has little understanding of tyrants/l2...
punch of doom is getting unnerfed in c4. instead of stunning you 100% of the time, it only has a "chance" to stun you. (i still wouldn't use it)
as for hurricane assault, i didn't know that was nerfed. it does slightly less damage than TSS, but it still hurts a lot.
tyrant is a very fun class to play. don't listen to your friend, he doesnt know what he's talking about :)
A tyrant outdamages a gladi big time, and same goes for attack speed. Tyrant is the class that can have the biggest melee attack speed in this game, and it is really one of the most versatile classes. Good in melee, good at hunting archers with rabbit totem and cripple. Only thing it lacks like it's other green bro is good mdef :/
Punch of Doom will be better in C4 and hurricane assault is nice already. Stick to the greenies, dont go for some pansy elf or mediocre human :cool:
hahah tyrants arent that great i think your makeing them out to be better than they are. u should tell the truth so he doesnt buildhis hopes up to get then shattered.
Well, they are pretty great. Great damage output. Can outdamage destroyers when they both have no tattoos. (My tyrant would constantly pull aggro from equal level destroyers untill they got +4 STR. I was too poor to get tattoos.)
Tyrants are a difficult class to play excelently. Unlike basically every other class, tyrants have very different ways of playing. You have six totems, a dozen skills, a few toggles, and even more stuff come C4. However with practice, timing, and good management of your totems, you will be able to do a great amount of damage. Nothing says, "Screw you" better than a tyrant with 250ish run speed chasing down and slowing an archer, while evading every hit :p
Of course, as an added bonus, tyrant weapons are the cheapest weapons you can ever buy, so as a first character, they're a good choice. :D
Expensive class, if you use SS >< But I haven't leveled any other fighter to higher levels, so I don't know how they compare to other classes in this regard. But I'm sure archers are more expensive.

i 1v1ed one in the arena and even though he was only 5 lvls higher i didnt stand a chance
he opened with slow and started to kite my golem
not that he needed too he killed it in 3 hits
he then started to kite me for a while (very high and hardcore slow) and went in for some melee
i managed to get a stun off and resummoned my golem only to have him 4 hit it this time
after about 30 seconds i hit the floor
about the only class that can kill me that easy is a mage so that says something
