I find it amazing how different NC games are.

Last MMO I played just before Lineage was City of Heroes.

The end boss there called Hamidon was very tough to beat, not only that, but he also had 20 minions/pets beside him, and once the minions were killed off, only then you could start hitting the main target, after which, at half hp the 20 minions would respawn, and then once more they would respawn at 1/4 hp(anyone of them would 1 hit kill a lvl 50 of any class) even more so than Antharas and I'm gonna guess much harder than Valikas or whatever is the new dragon.

Not only the end game was very difficult and the raiding party had to have a very good and elaborate plan for taking him and his minions out, but also each time he was beated, the NCsoft would make it harder next raid, so it's basically impossible to use the same strategy to kill the it more than once.

Antharas is no where near as challenging, or demanding.

I guessing if this is just going to continue this way in Lineage? Who ever can get a big enough alliance to do the raid, gets to kill it.

Anywho, I'm bored at work, trollin the boards keeps me sane :p
They are very different types of games.

As someone else mentioned (and darn it I've forgotten who!), Lineage II is really just a structure where the player interaction if the real 'end game'. The other game you mentioned really has player interaction as secondary.
Well Antharas' difficulty increases substantially in Chronicle 4.

This occurs because they have made it so you can no longer debuff him. This means you're going to have to try to kite a regenning 250 or so runspeed beast as tough as Antharas and you can't do anything about it.

On the upside I believe this change also effects normall raidbosses, so that hinders one way raidboss farmers did the bosses. Guess they'll have to bot up a bishop now too!
****it, I need to figure out where there are raid bosses farmed by bots on Erica. Aden is a huge map when you're running around :p

But I'd like to find some spots where bots kill raid bosses so i could seed and heal the boss. :p
