I was just in game and I came out of the GLudin village warehouse. Some guy name juvenilcourt wants to group up with me, so I oblige. He then says to through my duels on the floor 2 times and they will eithter become more powerful or duplicate. Of course I did not do it and I am here to ask this question. Is this a scam? seems like it .
Thanks all
Yes I am new but not entirely stupid or naive

That has to be one of the dumbest scams I've heard. Glad you didn't fall for it.
Yes, this is a scam, and an old one.

If you look carefully, you would have seen that the scammer set party loot distribution to 'by turn.' That means that whoever in the party picks an item up off the ground, it will go to the party member who is 'next' in line.

When he wanted you to pick up your weapon twice, at least one of those times he would be 'next' and would get your weapon in his inventory.

(He might have chosen 'random' as loot distribution, but then he may have had to get you to drop the weapon a number of times before it randomly went to him.)
lmao scammers are getting less and less creative...
He also obviously does not even know his own scam well - the By Turn distribution starts with the leader (himself), so the duals only need to be dropped once for them to change hands.

OP: Yes, this is a scam. Glad you didn't fall for it too. :D
Rofl.

"Either duplicate or become more powerful", sorry dunno which effect and no idea if you have to drop them once or twice but IT WORKS, NO KIDDING!

That is a dumb scammer.

Sad that there are still people who fall for this. Careless, unsuspecting, greedy. :p

Good you didn't. :) And remember, don't throw your valuable items around. ;)

Cal
that has to be the most stupid atempt to scam someone ive heard about lol
I've heard that one but with an even dumber reason which is "I want to see if the duals stand up or stick in the ground"

Now that one I could see myself falling for. :p

I don't think I'll sleep til I learn the answer

1 sticks up and 1 lies on the ground... i've tried it :)

now... do you know if the weapon on the ground glows? party with me and we can find out!
Not only is this a scam. It is one of the very few scamming methods that incurs the wrath of the GM's. Or so HGMSpam said not so long ago.

So, write a detailed report to the GM's with name, server, time, location. With luck this lame scammer gets to have a stern talk about gaming ethics by the headGM.

Good catch.
But Spam also says:

In the same manner the person scammed in this way will never get their items back.

So if you do "fall" for this scam don't expect your items back. Because we all know that people will start shouting. "The GM's said that it is a bannable offense therefore you get your items back".
Well, if you do fall for that scam, you kinda wanted to cheat anyway now, didn't you? It's easier of course to understand the side of the victim.
