Kittan has highest bop on server

After a dispute over me fighting for dusk with my alt chars although my main is in a dawn ally, I quit clan and shortly after crystallized the bop (http://khaosmoon.net/strider/crystals.jpg) out of frustration when trying +18.

Sorry all in divine, I wont be there to help at next festivals but the last 2 days were the most fun in a long time. Good luck next time.
not really, there is another +16 bop hinding in this sever :P

Rangur's "note to self" several months ago...

Rangur: "note too self... no matter how mad I am at any given situation or how curious I am, I should never try to take my bow of peril to +18". Wow... I feel great... This was a good decision and I think there are really bright things in my future from this point forward.

Rangur's clannie: Hey Rangur... my warehouse is full. Can you hold on to this B Weapon enchant for me until I get my butt in gear and clean out this mess

Rangur: sure no problem.

Rangur's clannie I have to warn you, it might be a little while as I've really been dragging my feet on this one...

Rangur: No worries... it will be here... ( )

**** :(
I saw that BoP during the competition and my heart sank, thought I couldn't beat a group with that high enchanted weapons. Sad to hear you broke it :( now I feel bad we won the 53- x.x
That sucks Rangur but at least you had the steels to try it.
Which lazy, lame-*** alliance is that insecure to care if you're alts are competing in the seven signs?

Do they fear your skill?
Do they fear your power?

...or are they just too **** lazy to do a few festivals.

Rangur>his former alliance.

sorry bout the bow man.
Rangur's exclan are castle owners. We pool our characters to do festivals and work hard to try to win. You will notice the ONE victorious dawn festival was composed of many storm. The group that took that place was even short a team member. They only brought in 8 to the festival to earn that score. Domi requested that in the future Rangur sign up for Dawn and help his alliance. Rangur believes that the system is already imbalanced enough and Dawn should earn festivals on their own, they shouldnt need alt armies to do so. Which is funny, IMO, because we all know the alts are the high geared players capably of really turning the tide.

Rangur refused to use all his chars to help the alliance, as a matter of fact, he stated some of them would help work against us. People say "Dawn are too lazy to do festivals," but if an ally leader can't ask his ally to do them how is it supposed to ever happen? Everyone else in Storm was pooling anything they had leveled to compete. Working hard and bonding through it. Then to see our last hope, we watch the 53- and see a DARK red BoP on Chiasa. We all know and love Rangur in Storm, esp in Tsunami, but imagine for a moment, how it feels, to work so much together and see somebody batting for the other team. The seals help elevate our clan, ally, and castle further in safety from others. My equipped alts all sign up for Dawn and I help wherever I can. It's one thing to not help, that already becomes questionable. "This is your ally. Dawn lost last cycle because nobody would take care of these festivals. Now you, a member of a castle owning clan, not only don't take care of it, but use another character to fight against it."

Some people play and respect each character as unique with its own personality. To Rangur his chars weren't in ally so they were Dusk. Domi explained that he needed to back his ally 100%. Rangur refused, and seeing as he was fighting the needs of the alliance and the work everyone else so strived for, was asked/told to essentially do so or don't be a member of this ally.

I tried to pm Rangur when this all started cause I knew it was headed downhill. In a way, Rangur only got the bow because he wanted to quit this game and move on. He took it as a sign that he should stay when he got +16 and then 17. Well, I guess this is an ultimate irony.

My respect to Rangur for doing what he believed was right, even if IMO it was wrong. But as things stand, Dawn almost lost the festival again, and Rangurs char was competing with his +17 bow in the bracket that was our last hope.

Funny had the 7 signs thing not bugged...I'd still have a friend around. I'm not sure if he'd even call me that but I still considered him one. Life has it's little ironies. So farewell Rangur, I will miss you. Why couldn't you just have talked about it?

omg thats ******ed.
Any clan that tries to totally dictate a clan/alliance members playing habits - fail. What I do with my playing time and with my alts is my thing, not someone else's. If I help the clan out like mad with my main anyway, then trying to control me with my alts - eff off.

Rangur did the right thing.

Followed by something tremendously stupid. x__x
Good luck getting back that +17 bow of own-you-silly. =/

Actually, I think they were both right.

Each clan/Alliance has the right to 'be" what they want to be. If a clan or allinace wants to be permanent pk'ers then so be it. If they want to be saints and spend most of their time buffing noobs, so be it.

Each individual has the right to play the game as he/she wants as well.

In the end it seems that it wasn't a perfect fit as the values of clan/individual clashed.

Every clan leader has the right to ask what he/she wants.

When I was clan leader the rule in my clan was that no alt could be in another clan or alliance for the simple fact that I felt it created conlicts of interest.

Now... I also supported each "individual's" right to play how they wanted and should they want to have different characters in different clans they could do so but it was just not a "correct" fit for my clan.

Each clan leader needs to lead how he or she sees will give them victory. Each player needs to determine whether or not his/her clan is the one who will lead them to victory.

If the goals are different then it should be "no hard feelings" and each should find his or her own true way.

Sort of like a divorce. :p

Actually, I think they were both right.

i think the same. but just to be honest rangur and the other ppl that helped divine in the fights achieved one great goal! seven signes were a hell of a fight and i hope all enjoyed it...
we carry proud our debuffs and wish you all fun in the catas... till the next festivals (just lvling my 4+ toon to 53^^)
*Janice-like* Oh... My... God...

Rangur is Chiasa? :O Why didn't I know... =(

PS. Yeah, there is another +16 BoP on Hindy but it's owned by an inactive player...
I agree with Sovrath in the fact that they are both right. I mean a clan or guild as I'm used to is formed to work towards common goals. That is the whole purpose of a guild. So would you have someone in your guild who hops on an alt and starts pking your own members? I guess that is a hypothetical extreme but Rangur was working against his own members in a different but similiar way. If anything I think this showed a lack of devotion and loyalty on Rangur's part. Also, I think it is bad taste to put one's dirty laundry on the message boards. This practice of getting the community involved is always detrimental for all parties involved. Anyway those are my thoughts but in the end I am new here and don't really care what anyone does. I just worry if I can make a lvl in a day. =p
You guys are right, he has every right to play the game and his characters however he wants to. But personally I wouldn't want someone in the clan/alliance who's doing his best to make his alliance lose the festival. There's just no teamwork and loyalty in that.
i think ure a ****** if ure trying to win the festival on one end..

and then trey to make them loose on the other end..

and ure also a ****** for blowing up a red bop, no question about it..

let the flames begin..
Thanks Luke for explaining and your kind words. I didnt feel like typing all that happened, I just wanted to let people know why I am gone. If the server wasnt full of lazy bandwagoners who destroyed a key feature of the game by buying into dawn each time, I wouldnt have felt the need to aid the side that my alts were on instead of the side my main was on.

Badger, the bow doesnt need to be replaced, check my sig. I didnt really care anymore, basically it was the same situation I was in when I was going to quit the first time and made it red.

I will be in game after I come home and give out presents to people I like, and I hope that many of them will be on.
Rangur,

I can see storm's point of view as a clan leader. i can also see why you did the right thing if your views didn't agree with your alliance. You are a ****ed good player (both when I met you in cats, and in the festivals). Shame to see you quitting this close to another patch man. Good Luck and thanks for the help in the festivals.

Much respect for you.
Please reconsider at least staying to try C4 for a while.

P.S. HH Ciddy hat ja auch so ne menge zu bieten und falls dich das Game mal wieder reizen sollte in ferner Zukunft , frag einfach nach Equipt bei mir :)
Sure, a player has the right to do whatever he wants to. But if you DO join a clan, it is totally not acceptable to openly act AGAINST the goals of that clan, even if it is on an alt. Or do the nay-sayers here think that it would be ok to listen to the siege plans of your clan and then log on the alt who is in another clan and blab about the siege plans to the enemy?

If you are in a clan which is on dawn side (i.e. it was decided "we are all on dawn", or you are on dawn side because of your ally) and you then log on an alt and fight for dusk, you are acting against the goals of your own clan. Your clannies won't be able to use the priest teleports or level in the catacombs. If I was a clan leader and saw a clan member do that, I would warn him and if he keeps on doing it, I would ask him to leave clan, because he obviously is not interested in working together with his clannies.

I agree with what you said except for the last sentence. I would probably put it as "his goals and the clan/alliances goals were no longer compatible".

I've always felt that everyone has the right to play the game however they want. But that also means that clan and alliance leaders have the right to run their organizations anyway they want.

Like any relationship it is a constant reevaluation from day to day.

Organizations grow, people grow. No one is in the wrong as long as there is communication and everyone knows where everyone stands.

people in organizations always want to work together until the time comes where the goals or methods don't mesh well. Then you just have to take stock and see what is best for both parties.
Comon Veraya i wanna see if you can actually get 300 ppl VS a 14 man clan gogogo
I have always liked Rangur, Dad and I were sad to see you leaving game. Even though it has been some time since we were in Tsunami together you always were more then willing to help anyone despite what clan/alliance they were in.

I am sad to see you leave Lineage. Thanks for helping.

It is indeed, pretty pathetic, that a member of Dawn HAD to fight for Dusk. I don't enjoy the fact that it could have prevented all of us from getting our AA at C4 release (I really want to unseal my majestic jewels).

Frankly Rangur, I think this is best bud. You've thought of quitting before, and we all know how addictive this game can be at times. Frankly I hope you find greener pastures, L2 has it's faults. Best of luck to you, and I hope you know that nobody here is judging you for your choice. Rather, it spurred a discussion on 7 signs, loyalty to clans, what is expected, and oh yeah blown up weapons. You sure went out with a bang :p
Rangur :(. We've already spoken in game, but I just want to say I have a great deal of respect for you. Other people may not like you signing your alts up for Dusk, but for some of us it was good to see that some people actually wanted the Seven Signs to be what it really should be. I'm glad you had fun taking part at least :).

As for the rest..well, you already know :).

believe me it wasnt intended that everyone would play their alts as dusks when their main is in dawn :p personally i wouldnt like that either, because one side you might try and "help" dusk or whatever reason you have, on the other side you bash in on your mains clan, and to me a main is where the loyalty comes from, the alts follow that :p

I'm just sad he left the game, too..

Ditto.
I didn't even realize that until he poked me to look at his sig. :(

Always sad to see a player leave the game, even if you don't know them. As for the general discussion of mains/alts and what they sign up for, i personally think you should be supporting your main, no matter what "bandwagon" the rest of the server is on. Most everyone signs their alts up for dusk just to ensure they are not left out so the competition is almost meaningless. And just to say it again, dusk is called the "revolutionaries of dusk", meaning that only the people that dislike the castle holding clans/allies would "revolt" against them, so there is no "bandwagon" so to speak, as only the ones that dislike the castle owners would "rebel".
All I can say is /cry

I will always remember the day Rangur got his strider and word got atound aden, and then giran was flooded with people surrounding him to check out his stryder.

I feel bad, I know that one of his wishes was to fly a wyvern in the game.

I would of liked to help you have that oppertunity.

As for Dusk and Dawn I got to thinking this week. There is no reason for my clan to pay 50,000 to fight for dawn. I see castle owners with toons setup outside dawn priests selling the certificates for 30k and making a profit.

I remember when Black Dawn had Oren (under daspiron) and one of the things we did to promote the dawn side was to approach clans without allaince's and castles and give "YES GIVE" the dawn certificates away so they would fight for our cause.

Because thats what dawn is about fighting for castle owners causes.

Next cycle I will urge my clan and fellow allaince members to fight for dusk. As i know the castle lords will still be looking too make off us by selling the lord certificates.

I refuse to pay these costs now.....

Rangur sorry to see you go you where a good player, sad to see you go.

Poppa

I think you missunderstood what I meant, I was really trying to say that it should be a competition, and Rangur at least wanted to make it that way. The majority of people don't want a competition, they want the rewards.

To be honest I agree with you, I would prefer it if everyone was forced to have all of their characters on one side. Preferably all castle owning alliance and their alts in Dawn, and everyone else and their alts in Dusk.

Yes sure, but why then was he in a DAWN clan with his main? When you join a clan, you promise to that clan that you will fight for a common goal. Loading up an alt and fighting for a goal contrary to the one of your clan is backstabbing. If you do not agree with the goals of your clan - then leave. Before you go against your clan. And not after your clan finds out while watching a dusk festival.

I really am of the opinion that when you join a clan, you as a player do that. Not only the one toon with the clan tag. So when you play an alt, you should at the very least be "neutral" - and definitely not on a side opposite to the clan. It's just ... wrong otherwise. I know several players on Hindemith who have toons in various clans, even in different alliances, and I am pretty sure that not in every case those alliances are aware of it. Something like that is bound to cause problems when those alliances war each other, and it plain and simple should not be possible.
I couldn't agree more. It would have been different if he wasn't in an alliance that had a castle... We're SUPPOSED to sign up for dawn, that's the whole intent of the competition. It would have been different if our alliance was one w/o a castle and all paid the 50k to join Dawn just for an easy win.
:( awww rangur sorry about ur bow i remeber talking to u when it was only +8 on our striders and we got to ride around in aden castle on our striders really sucks that it kaboomed  the thought of enchanting mine again hasnt entered my mind its gonna stay at +14 :( hate to see ya go you still have the highest strider on the server atleast :)
