First thing Id like to say that i really am a noob.
My wife and i started playing around 3 weeks ago.

I would like to get rid of that **** chat screen on my window.

How can i do that?

The zoom and panning functions are great but.

How can expand the zoom even further as it really does not
allow me to zoom out far enough when running and fighting?

Id like to play in windowed mode is there no function for this?

The game seems to have a tremendous amount of keyboard action, actually in my opinion way to much as if one plays this game for a few hours at a time the stress on my hands are high.

Is there no auto run function?
Is there no auto soulshot or spiritshot function?

Lastly why cant i have all my toons access one warehouse?

This is the only game i have ever played that all toons on a account do not have access to a single warehouse or storage
facility. If you do not have at least two accounts then yourability to make other toons and share resources that those toons have collected is extremely limited at best.

You are not allowed to. If you work on it a little, you will see that between the right- and middle-click, the camera control becomes sufficient. It's worth noting that you can set the perspective which the middle click offers you by pushing the page up and page down buttons.

Alt+Enter

Is there no auto run function?

Being added on Wednesday. It will be Numlock.

Is there no auto soulshot or spiritshot function?

Right-click the shortcut.

Because they want transfers to require money or a friend, and because this way, you have 7 times the warehouse space.
Wow that was fast replying LOL.
Thx alot for that info.

The warehouse thing. Wow that is just nuts on there part.
There are many games that have storage that has no limit.
Lets face it, it is just a file on a server someplace and it has near no limitations on how large it gets. Unlimited storage is used in many games. This is one poor function imo.

Are you talking about the seperate little chat window from conversations or the window with all the information including chat?

I use the third mouse button to roll out farther but it sounds like you may have it out as far as it goes and are not happy with the distance view it gives you.

There is but someone else will have to answer how to start it up, since I don't play that way and have forgotten

numlock

Drag the spiritshot/soulshot icon from your bag to your action bar and right click it on the bar. This will set it to auto. Please note that if you have it on auto and you are casting buffs, it will use one up for buffing as well. :)

Just the way they've designed it. You could create a clan, level it up to one and have all your characters join that but they could only put things IN the warehouse, not take them out.
they put in this way of warehouse sharing because its yet another money sink and a way to limit the ammount of stuff you can stockpile so you`ll sell stuff and actually help to make the market going. in this its a good thing, because if everybody would stockpile unlimited stuff the market would become pretty crappy at best :)

anyway, keep the questions comming, plenty of people willing to help new players ^_^
Well the warehouse would have to be uber big if all toons had acess to it, you gonna find youre self out of space every now and then on some characters as it is.
welcome toad )

I can't tell if you know about the warehouse freight system.
You pay 1000a to transfer an item from one of your characters to another at the same warehouse.

On the one hand it's a small fraction of a gatekeeper fee. On the other hand, it's kinda spendy to transfer minor items.
Yeah, I wish they would allow anyone to draw from Clan Warehouse as well. While the 1k holding fee is annoying, I wish you could pick up from any town, much like the warehouse.
Thx for all the info.

RE: Warehouse space.

Well there is no reason to actually limit the size of a warehouse or at least increase it to a more functional level of say 1000 items.

It is only a database entry or a text file db entry nothing more nothing less and regardless of what NCSOFT has to say about it almost all games out have a much more manageable friendly storage system then this. This certainly has some major draw backs to it.

And on a side note re: the chat window.
Thats cool that you can get rid of it but as i do quests i see that there is some functionality of actually seeing whats happeing trough the text system of notification.
Is there a way to shrink or make small the size of the chat window i think that would be much better?
Yeah you can grab the top left corner and drag it up and down. Also one of the buttons on the bottom allows you to customize the filter so you can choose what type of text gets sent to each chat tab.
Ok i found that i can make it larger but im really asking is if it can be made smaller.
To give a better understanding the line count when it is at its smallest setting now is like 8 lines of text.
So the question is more defined if you i say " Is there a way to make the text window to say 2 or maybe 3 lines of chat or information"?
At its default setting of 8 or 9 lines of text to say the least is more then annoying.
Ok i guess that answers it. You can not shirink it lower then the 8 or 9 line text. Via the drag option on the widow size.

That is to bad as who the heck needs to read 8 lines of text at one moment. Way to much passae informaton on the chat window seen at its default lower value size.

This really should be changed. Lets face it if they are providing the window to expand as they do now to a much larger size why not allow the window to decend to a much smaller value then it is now at its lowest setting. Really you only need 2 maybe 3 max chant lines of text to show at any given time.
If we got 1000 slots in warehouse, everyone would just be sitting on their armor/weapon parts. While I would like some more space, I think this is better. However, in C4 we can expand our warehouse + inventory by a fixed amount of slots per (skill?)level by purchasing them with "proof of fishing" - which you get by ... fishing (greater fish oil gives x amount of proof of fishing)

As for the chat window, once you get into a clan/alliance and/or make friends (whom you chat with) you're gonna want to make the window bigger, if you want to read what everyone says. Personally I have mine at max size. (remember you get system messages when you fight i.e. "You hit for 11 damage" and "You picked up bone shield". Of course you can turn that off, but myself, I want to see everything.)
i have my chat window set at near maximum size
trust me you'll get used to it
Yeah, we will be able to make warehouse bigger in well now!!!! Woot!!!

The reason you need so many lines of text comes in 2 reasons. One of which you probably already ran into. Trying to chat with party members while fighting, if you only had 2 lines of text, you would probably miss most chat. Second reason you need 8 lines, actually I wish I could get 30+ lines is once you near larger cities like Giran. There are alot of very annoying people there that set macros to spam the channels to advertise their item. They usually send 8 lines of text at a time, so if your trying to chat with anyone, and these losers spam the channels, you kinda miss what people are saying.

Another reason chat window is important. Alot of people hunt bots. Not sure what server you are on, but alot of times people will run up to you while you are hacking away at something, and they will say hi, or something. If you don't respond, alot of the time you will be dead. Very annoying, and kind of a griefing tool as well.

Personally I don't buy from people when they spam the channels. Say things in a line or 2, and then wait awhile before sending it out again. I don't need to know 8 times in a row that you have a Bonebreaker for sale.
