how do i rez with these scrolls?

Someone was nice enough to give me and a friend a few rez scrolls, but us being total newbs cant figure them out. ive targeting his body when he dies, and he tried same on me but nothing. we were partied at the time we tried it.

Cerain conditions must be met in order to use a scroll of resirrection:

1) You must be in a party with the person to be rez'd

2) You must have targeted his body (either by Shift+click, or by clicking his name on the party tab).

3) You must "use" the scroll on him, as you would a potion. (you must be alive, and have the scroll on you, to use it).

being a shillen oracle will i be able to rez my friend everytime at lvl 20 with my rez spell i just got?

Yup, and at higher levels it'll start giving back a % of the XP he lost.

'Use' means double-clicking it in your inventory, or pressing the hotkey if you have it in a hotbar.

In C4, you will no longer need to be in the same party, but the dead player will need to confirm that they wish to be resurrected.

Just to clarify, rez skill and scrolls are not exactly like potions, but are like other spells. You have to be awake, not stunned, standing, and have available actions. Target the dead and double click the scroll to begin the rather slow animation of casting them.

Just one more thing about scrolls. Fortunately, you CAN use scrolls being silenced.

This board used to be on page 843 I am bringing it back to life by saying I tried to use a rez scroll recently and it would not work period. Gm said check file but did not change anything, has anyone else had this problem.

Did you try to rez yourself, firend while both of you where dead and are you sure it wasn't rez scrolls for pets?

lol no, of course i didnt use pet rez :/ and no it was not myself. It was a regualr rez scroll on a dead guy taht when i had targetted and right clicked the scroll in inventory, would not activate.

nope not that either as I know i am not the only one in my clan to have had the problem, I am baffled lol.

I have had client lagg showing a dead char move around killing mobs, but when I reloged he was alive.

He could had been alive and appeared as dead on your screen.

I have no issues with my rez scrolls or rez skills.

first double left clicked, then single right clicked. But it may well be a character glitch oriented thing. I never use it was prolly just the weirdest thing in game that happened to me. It was a bot that tried to kill me that i felt like rezzing for 0% and maybe get another +1 out of it.

Was the person you were trying to rez at their computer? If it was someone who was afk (or whatever) then they could not click to accept the rez.

I've had some weird things like described in here. (altho I can't tell for sure if the rez scrolls not working is a glitch or pebcak) This weekend I logged in a character and couldn't move, but could see others talking and moving around. Then after I used a skill I could move normally. Other times I just restart and everything is fine.
