C4 Installer Error

I downloaded the entire C4_Installer file last night and went to unzip it and said I had downloaded either an unknown version of zip or a bad file? Has anyone else gotten this?

I have winzip and winrar, and I've never seen a major player use anything other than one of those two... I'm downloading again atm, maybe I got a few corrupted files in it or something, since it's a 2.3gig download.

If it doesn't work this time, I'll just let the auto-updater do it's thing. lol I was just trying to save time. :P

Ya Same error, even from file palnet and from lineage2.com all teh files are CORRUPT -- good going -- now to wait for a day and a haldf for the auto updater to patch my game when 8000 otheres are trying to do the same thing all at once... DO you think they are aware that all there links for the new c4 game client are corrupted... do they care... lol >.<

What version of Winzip are you running? If you downloaded from file planet, use a different server to download from. I downloaded it last night and installed it with no problem. It did run slow since you did say it is a 2.3 gig download.

I've downloaded it twice, and still get the error when I try to extract it.

Guess i'll just wait for the auto-updater since we're getting word here from the mods.

This is the error I'm getting:

"! E:\Downloads\lineageii_ch4.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"

All my other Lineage II installers work, and I have WinRAR, so it must get corrupt during the download or it was before.

I got the same error orginally. Here is what I did maybe try it and see if it works for you.

I downloaded the zip file then went to the file right clicked and selected extrat to folder (using winrar)...got the courpt file error. I noticed though that I could double click the zip and it would open...tried to run setup from within the archive but it ended up not responding.

So I again double clicked to open the zip file and in the window that opened up right click and said extract all...this brought up the windows extractor wizard (not winrar). This was able to extract all the files to a folder and I was then able to run the setup file to update L2.

Maybe the archive doesnt work well with winrar but if you use the windows extraction wizard it did work. I am using WinXP Pro. So try to double click to open the archive then right click inside the archive and select extract all and use the windows extractor maybe it will work for you....did for me

UPDATE:

I was able to extract and install C4 doing this...after finished installing said to launch game it connected to patcher and did a file check and pulled down a few more files...this took two tries...update server went down 3/4 way through first time but finished second time. The new C4 load screen came up then the new C4 login screen but was not able to log in (guess since servers are not up). So I should be set when they open the servers up now.
