So yesterday I got the C4 cds in the mail.... (that's right i bought them despite saying i wouldn't....) they arrived the day before C4... The 3-day shipping paid off... and i was pretty excited...
So at about 11:30pm i decided I would stop playing L2... install the cds... and go to bed... I thought it would take 15 min tops... I take out the first cd... install it... np... done in like 3 min... I start to take out the second cd... but it was kinda stuck.... after cutting the box apart.... i found that the cd was GLUED to the box... well that was great... I seperate the cd from the box... put it in... and guess what it doesn't work... I tried to remove the glue but that just left smudges, and it still didn't get work...
So I try to take out the 3rd CD to see if that one was glued down... yup... so I started swearing a lot.... then I remembered a cd polishing kit I bought 5 years ago... searched my place for quite some time until I find it... use that to clean and polish... cd doesn't work... so in a fit of rage I grabbed the cd through it across the room... I then poished it again... and DING it worked... sweeet... did the same thing with the 3rd CD (without the throw....) and eventually got that one to work too....
I got done installing on 1 maching at about 2:30 am... so that was about 3 hours... could have just downloaded while i slept... well... the cds are all working now... so i do have c4 backed up on disk atleast....
anyway... NCsoft... instead of haveing a cheap box with fany pictures... put your cds in genaric white envelopes... if I ever order something in the future... it would be nice if it wasn't glued to the cardboard... ty.
