Chronicle 4 Launch Events 2-8-06 to 3-7-06

Adventurers' Guides and Event Gatekeepers (http://www.lineage2.com/archive/2006/02/chronicle_4_sci_1.html) are in the towns of Aden and Elmore to help new and old players experience the largest Chronicle yet.

From February 8 to March 7, all players can take advantage of the new Noblesse teleport locations, and characters under level 25 can receive special weapons for no charge.

Event Gatekeepers

A brand new teleportation option is available in Chronicle 4 for the exclusive use of the Noblesse. In celebration of the dawn of a new era, everyone has the chance to utilize this new teleportation feature! Speak to the special Event Gatekeepers in the towns of Aden and Elmore to teleport to nearby hunting grounds for the same price charged to a Noblesse.

Adventurers' Guides

The Adventurers' Guides are stationed in Gludin Village, Gludio Castle Town, and the starting villages to assist new players.

If you are a new character level 6 or above, you can acquire a special novice adventurer's weapon. Speak with the Adventurers' Guide to receive an exchange certificate for the special weapon. Speak to her again to choose your weapon, and you can exchange for a different weapon of the same level at any time.

At level 20, you can acquire the special traveler's weapon after completing your first class transfer. Talk to the Adventurers' Guide to obtain the exchange certificate for the traveler's weapon. Speak to her again to choose your weapon, and you can exchange for a different weapon of the same level at any time.

All of these weapons are not tradeable, so you cannot drop them, exchange them, or store them in the warehouse. Be careful not to delete these weapons, because you cannot get a new one!

What is a new character?

If you have a number of characters between levels 6 and 24, the character that first reached level 6 is considered the new character on the account.

If any one of your characters is above level 25, you cannot participate in the Adventurers' Guide portion of the event.

Chrono Darbuka

The Chrono Darbuka, the commemorative item for Chronicle 4, has been placed in the warehouse of your highest level character on each server. This item is yours to keep in celebration of Chronicle 4!

Big kudos for tailoring a big part of the event specifically to new players.

I didn't know where to drop this but HOOORAY!!! I still have 3 of my special christmas trees!!!!

edit: stocked up on dice and now can't use em. Maybe the same goes for trees but don't know. Will try to use a tree later unless someone with 75 trees want to give it a try now.

question: if we already downloaded c4 for the public test server is there any easier way than downloading the whole thing over again for live servers?

1st of all, Kudos !!! to NCsoft. This Chronicles launch is to my knowledge the largest AND Smoothest launch of all chronicles so far. Patching was easy and fast and the servers are all up and running when they were said to be.
And apart from some minor connnectivity trouble I heard about, there seems to be everything running !

If you got the PTS client, copy all directories from that place to the C3-client, safe for the systems folder. Then run the game and the auto patcher will take only roughly 20 minutes instead of a couple hours.

These items will be removed next Tuesday during maintenance. Enjoy them while they last.

This new event is a very good one. A big plus for you as this is the single best event possicle for new players. This should help them bring into the game faster then ever before.

Now about patching:

Alternatively you can just copy over the Lineage2.exe from the C3 directory and replace the PTS Lineage2.exe with it. Then start; same effect. :)

Just wondering though. Those rental weapons, will they dissapear from your inventory when the event ends? If so, it could seriously set somebody back if he didn't realize this.

No, this is items from a previous event. You will keep your souvenir weapon :)

heh, i thought this 'event' would help me start my nobless quests.....but porting to hunting grounds isnt what i imagine the 'event' would be. the quest is mostly playing tag with all the towns, very little hunting involved. pls add the real nobless ports :mad:

well it is the nobless ports, it is the port point options that a nobless charater will have using the gatekeeper. they also have the option to port for 1k adena to anytown from anytown and to any catacomb or necropolis for also 1k adena.

I better hurry up and become a noblesse! I've become addicted to noblesse ports.
