I played in beta and have dabbled with coming back over the last 2 years, just trying to get back into the game now, but looking at all this 2-3 lvl 75 class changes, super terrific hero noble classes and such, is it even feasable for a new player today to achieve high level status in this game? Or has it been out too long to even consider trying.
12 Chronicles rumored. Expected game life from here if they averaged 6 months per chronicle would be 4+ years and then there's the fact they probably won't take the servers down immediately.
You have plenty of time if you're worried about them taking the servers down.
If you're asking if you can catch up to the top tier players.... yes. Everyone has the potential to achieve anything in the game. Its just a matter of how much time you're willing to invest.
I convinced my friend to try this game 3-4 months ago. Well a few donations here and there from me to make sure he had good gear...he is now a lvl 64 SR.
Well I don't mean so much "catch up before the game goes offline" I mean catch up in a reasonble amount of time. I play about 2-3 hours on weeknights and 10 or so over the weekend, is it reasonable to expect to be able to reach 60+ in a few months. I don't mind the grind really I prefer it to questing like in WoW.
And is the difference between a 75 and say a 65 that huge? Like 1 75 taking on 2-3 65s in pvp?
with 2-3 hours a night... 10 on weekends... i'd say u could hit 60 in 2 1/2 months give or take a week or so...
well yeah there is a dif between 65 & 75... but if can be overcome with skill and luck... can a 75 take on 3 65? depends on classes and so many things besides just lvls....

Yeah, a level 75 should be able to hold his own again 2-3 people of 10 levels lower than him. My SK was able to survive a 5 vs 1 in the arena (they were not very organized tho) --- At the time my SK was lvl 58 and the other charaters averaged around 49 or so. So, levels do equal power; you won't be able to compete against level 75s until you get there yourself.
If you were to start now I would think that you could be level 50+ in less than 2 months as long as you worked on just one charater - to me, the hardest part is getting to lvl 40 and doing the 2nd class change (!bah).
