Mistryl, please make a change to new design/board

Ok, the new site looks great, the new forum integration is great too, except the top banner pushes the forum down quite a bit, making it very confusing and you won't see as many threads on a page.

Could you make it so the top banner isn't there when you go to the forum please?

It's true, the size of the top and left banners is a bit overkill. I like the way the new parts look, but the periphery shouldn't be shoving the main attraction away...

The side panels are annoying. My window is full screened and the side panels make it so I have to side scroll. I have a 21" monitor, so it's not my window size. :(

I have a 17" monitor at a res of 1024x768 and i don't have one bit of side scroll or issues. I do admit that the side panel is a bit on the big side, but they said they aren't done with the messageboard yet.

And i would assume that once done it will look much better.

I am using a 17" Flat screen monitor and I dun even need to adjust my side bar(there isn't any for me to adjust in the first place).

Try this. Go to View -> Text Size -> Choose a smaller font and try. It will help.

The sides isn't really a problem, but the huge top simply takes up far too much room. It is really weird, because when you post, the page jumps to the top and you have that huge *** banner take up half of it, I already have tabs at the bottom, so having such a large chunk is just bad.

Just remove it on the foruma pages.

But it is a bad design. After you've seen the big banner 10 times it stops being looking cool.

But having to constantly scroll all the time is going to be really really annoying very fast.

Reduce the top and side banner by half.

I agree, get rid of the top banner in the forum and reduce the left bar: both are quite annoying.

I got a 19 screen, 1200x1224 with the bookmarks always displayed on the left for easy nav and that new left bar place an horinzontal scroll when I'm here..

I quite like them, myself.

If at all, maybe they could offer a light template for the site somewhere? That's not too difficult to do.

I second that, would be nice to have the top banner thingy eaither removed by default when going to the forums, or make it a choice the user can make.

I don't really want a "light site", the rest of the site is fine, its only in the forum its really bad (well, ok the top banner elsewhere might be slight bit smaller)

I'm running at 1280x1024 and it doesn't even come close to taking up half my screen...

If you guys are having issues with needed to scroll horizontally, check your resolution. If it says you're running in 800x640, it's time for a change. Your monitor will be able to handle it, and 1024x768 won't bite, honest.

As far as vertical scrolling goes, what thread have you ever read where you haven't had to scroll anyway?

Never had to scroll when making replies, reading the top of the forum, etc.

Now I do.

its pretty and all, but it gets old pretty fast when its just in the way. Keep it for other sections, not the forum

I'm running in 1920x1200 and whenever I looked at the site yesterday....wow....nothing was even aligned correctly haha. Having to scroll down a little was the least of my issues ;)

But yes, I agree the banners are too big

New skin selections would be nice also. The 'blues' of the forum are quite atrocious when paired with the black/red colors of the main site.

Maybe just a plain black skin as an option or something ?
