Designated Private Shop areas

I'm sure this has already been passed around, but..
Who else would enjoy going into Giran, going to the warehouse; and not getting stuck between the mulitple stores set up in every walkway?
Make walkways(archways) where you cannot set a Private buy/sell/craft shop up in them.

just my opinion. but I think it would be great.
I totaly agree with you. Like the walkway in giran should make it a no siting/private store area along with stairs. Also should make it so u cant put up a store anywhere near an NPC. Sometimes it gets so bad I have had to soe after porting into giran because I couldn't move.
petition it to the gms
takes about 10 mins to move the shops and if they have to do that all day they will take action

haveing said that the blocking of dorrways is a valid tactic at sieges and a griefing method so it shouldnt be removed completely
I agree completely.

Though another idea, would be to not allow two shops to sit at a very close distance between each other, to allow people to move freely all over the town, without having to create designated shopping areas, when people wouldn't be able to browse the market without getting stuck.

I understand that of course, but I mean just in towns.
Although I like Champa's Idea as well.

I agree completely.

I really like this idea. All too often I see somebody log on and set up shop almost on top of me. I know they are doing it before I load on their screen, but its annoying to say the least. If there was a little halo where you couldn't set up a shop within another player this could solve all the problems, and it would likely spread the shops out to less "traditional" areas of town, and I think that would be sorta nice too. Also, this would help shopping, and don't tell me about /findprivatestore either. I'm tlaking about "window shopping" where you wander about looking for deals. With the shops spread out a little it would be easier on my eyes. lol
It would be such a nice thing for devs to make an easyer way to shop around.
i.e you place an item into the new npc, place the pirce, quanity and stuff just like on a pirvate store setup...write a what you are selling AND you must choose item class(sword, blunt, material, key material and so on) . The new npc takes your stuff like the warehouse keeper. Now then you intercat with this new npc a window appears:
Sell items
buy items
browse buyable items list
browse sellable items list
Then you click browse, a list of items appears, you can see the message left by person who made that shop, persons name AND the class of the item. Filters and search options would be needed for more effective searching.
If you find what you need, you simply drag it in your inventory and buy it, your adenas will be transfered to the "new npc".
The shops owner could receive his adenas (for items he sold to some1) then he interacted with that new npc.

Ofcourse this would have some downsides, now the markets look more realistic...empty towns would look...well empty and it wouldnt be good...
How about someway for the game to make the name for your shop based on what you are actually buying/selling. That way the /findprivatestore would work better. Well, actually I like being able to write what I want, but it owuld make shopping easier.
Quite honestly I'm baffled as to why the GM's haven't figured this problem out after all these years. Maybe they enjoy the power of being able to move ppls shops. It seems to be more of a waste of their time doing this constantly, if they would just heed your suggestions (and the suggestions of countless dozens before you i'm sure) the lineage world would be all the better for it. I'm embarrassed for the GM's for having such a simple problem with a simple solution and having gone all these years having done nothing about it. Both of the ideas I've heard here aren't brilliant - they're common freakin sense. Make walkways where shops cannot be set up. Make "halos" around players so that shops cannot be set up too close to each other, and wider "halos" around NPC's, specifically GK's and poor old Taurin.
