Maybe it's just me, maybe not. But it seems very little thought was put into some of these new quests. Granted I've only done the baby pet quest and (most of) the ears quest. Both of these rely entirely on ridiculous amounts of money being spent and have no depth to the quest at all. At least the class change quests required you to do some sort of "real" task or something. IE the summoner quest where you have to do Pokemon fights.
These are a travesty. It's as if NC doesn't even care anymore. Something as silly as cat ears or a small pet shouldn't cost hundreds of thousands of adena if not millions.
I'm terrible at articulating thoughts but hopefully this made sense and I'm not the only one who thinks it's stupid that NC is pulling this.
Ear quest needs 500 spirit ore, 500 suede, and 1000 thread as far as I can tell. Those are the numbers unless he says "hah I lied you need more" afterwards
I started the formal dress quest and have put it off. One part requires like 500 sivler nuggets 150 THONS and something else that I cant remember off hand but lots of it. Geesh talk about rediculas mat costs on these new quest...sure hope they upped the drop rate even now Thread and suede are becoming expensive mats thanks to the ear quest.
If you tried the other new quests guess what they give? YOU GOT IT MATERIALS WOW now lets put 2 and 2 together and stop complaining.
This game isnt meant to be easy what you want free pets and nothing you earned just handed to you lol.
Aye, you don't need any of that stuff. That's why it shouldn't be ungodly expensive to get
I don't want stuff handed to me, I want quests to actually have some depth and not #@^%ing depend on money and nothing else. It's called make some real tasks instead of relying on ridiculous amounts of money and materials.
Sometimes I wonder if they are actually promoting things like IGE/ebay with the stupid crap they do.
Go to Rune castle jump to the forest of shadows and talk to the mysterious wizard over there. Help him with his ghost problem.
This quest has the most readable materials I ever found in a quest. If you like background stories, this is a good one. If you don't read any of the fluf dont bother doing it.

Its a luxury and well yeah... luxury isnt exactly known to be cheap.

It dont know what you consider as real task, but we're talking here about lineage2. Its all about grinding.
The nograde pole is rather cheap and the rewards are pretty good already. Later on the rewards will be even higher, but of course if you want to start with a high level toon you have to invest more.
Also see this as a farmer protection... if you have to invest that much money into fishinh before you get the first rewards, you probably will not want to risk that toon by botting. The time limit on fishing in the same spot goes into the same direction.
Don't see fishing as a money pit... it will produce you money. But like everything else that will pay off you have to invest first.
I agree with sly. I think it is GREAT that the quests are expensive. This means that the items you earn from them are somewhat RARE and SPECIAL rather than flooding the market. This is part of what makes L2 wonderful, when you earn something then not everyone else also has it, so earning things means something.
Yea I was about ready to strangle someone over the wedding dress quest last nite..
3k suede
5.6k thread
150 thons
500 silver nuggets
15 oriharukon
10 artisan frames
200 leather
and the added extra bonus of porting all over the place to complete the quests..
But.. I'm SO **** in it.. :)
Tonite I'm getting kitty ears, and learning to fish.
I have dedicated what little time I have to play this week to doing the new quests. So far I've completed the baby cougar quest, and with the exception of shelling out 500K for the crafted dagger, it was tolerable.
Baby Cougar now properly named Shere Khan (after Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book character), it's time to level it. It's so funny when Shere tries to heal my character, restoring 28 hp whenever my hp dips below 60%. lol. Every little bit helps I guess.

Plus the 500K in adena you have to give people :(.
I'm gonna wait a while before I even THINK of starting these quests... I have a small army of alts I wanna have **** ears and kitty ears for.
As for the wedding outfit... just one... JUST ONE. And I'll pass it around my alts to screenshot in. While shiny on the DE bod, I am disappointed in the skin they made. I had hoped for something that AT LEAST resembled the DE gatekeeper outfits /Black Judges attire. ;_; It's cute on the dwarves, at least.

Maybe it's just me but I like to read the dialogue in quests. The Third Job Change quest start was interesting, and mentions Shikken...
Mou. I still wish that the other 'Server Characters' ' stories were at least placed in the site... (likes reading that sort of thing)
