I downloaded the C4 installer from the site, everything extracted fine, and the install went fine. But now when it goes to the Auto Update Window it starts installing a file like /animations/darkelf.ukx. When that first file finishes downloading, i get an error that says "The Compression Has Failed. Check your hard disk space." Followed by "connection to the update server has been terminated."
Now i checked my hard disk space and I have over 160 GB of free space, so I am not sure what the problem is. A problem with the auto updater in general, or just something on my computer?
Hmm... I have not had this exact error, but there is something very simple you could try; move your screenshots out of the Lineage folder. They take a lot of memory and can cause weird, 'you have insufficient memory' error messages.
The error message for this usually references 'virtual memory,' but the updater may just use a generic 'insufficient memory' message.
Empty your trashcan... and preform a disk clean up.... Making sure to clear out all TEMP files on your computer..... If that still doesn't do the job try removing the file your getting stuck on then preform that disk clean up once.
