i enter my account name and password and click on log in and it just clicks a bunch of times and wont log in... i have all the info right and still have an account... its been doin this for the last few days
nope didnt do a thing.... and its nothin to do with my firewall cuz just a few days ago i was playing the game fine... and i flushed my dns, i have all antivirus/spyware protectors turned off and my firewall is allowing exceptions from lineage2.... i think its the game thats fudgin up i dunno tho
Are you a new player? How long have you been playing? What things have you all tired so far? What version of windows xp do you have home or pro? Do you have any routers/firewalls ?
no im not a new player been playin for over a year i have xp pro, i am behind a wireless router and i have done the following: flushed dns, removed gameguard folder, turned off firewall, turned off all anti-virus/spyware programs, opened specific ports, placed lineage 2 on the firewall exception list, full system files check, full reinstall, full update, updated video drivers, updated directX, ripped out kitchen sink and put in bag to beat computer with.... did i miss nething?
I've never had problems with Norton. If you use Norton you install or get an update for lineage2 then you may at times need to minimize L2 at startup and again after you enter login/password then tell norton to let l2 access internet always. I could go on but I'm not really the instructor type.
i dont have norton and i have my antivirus turned off completly and i minimized the game at log in to see if ne pop ups came up and nuthin im about to tell them i want a refund cuz its been like this for over a week now
when i trie to log in it says that the password does not match my account. i'm a new player i use windows xp home edition
i activated the account and tried to reset my password maby 6 times but none of those password s didn't work
when i contacted the customer service they changed the password but it didn't work too.
what is the problem
If you get an error message when you click to enter your user ID and password, there isn't a problem with your firewall blocking your access to the game client; you had to successfully access the client in order to get that error message.
Your problem could be several things. First, the passwords are case-sensitive; if you used capitals when you set your password, you need to use capitals when you enter it; if you used no capitals, you must not use any when you log in. (When I get this message, it is usually that I have left the CapsLock on, and I'm sending the password in capitals.)
Second, you have two passwords; one for the PlayNC account (like logging in to these boards,) and another password for logging into the game servers. You obviously can get to the boards, but your in-game password could be different.
Have you asked customer support to email you your in-game password? If so, stare at it closely... You must enter it exactly as you did originally.
You have done just about everything I could think of, and I am NOT familiar with wireless routers. What I would try (and I'm not sure your physical setup allows it) is to try to connect the computer without going through the router. Can you hook it into a phone line and use a dial-up ISP? You don't need to be able to actually run the game through the dial-up, but if you are able to get past the log-in screen this way, you know the problem is in the router rather than in the game.
When I updated to C4 on both the PTS and the live servers, my firewall seemed to be in a race condition to bring the 'application has changed, grant access?' screen up before the game client froze the screen. It took me six tried to get the 'grant access' button to appear, and all has been okay since.
