i'mve been fishing for about....8 hours and i only got the mask fabric(3) and 1.2k proof of fishing....
Do yo know how many fabrics it tkes to make a mask? and where to get the mask recipie?
There 1,5 hour fishing today gave me the last 1000 POCF I needed today for my warsmith's biger recipe book ^^ finaly able to register new things ^^ always hurted so bad befor to delete something.
So that gota be the absolut best 'thing' I can get from fishing ^^.
you have problem fishing up monsters? ****, you can have some of mine! got 3 beasts in 5 lures and I almost died! about 50 lures gave me 7 monsters and 300-350 POCF
took me some while to figuer how to fish >.<
I also got party mask fab, but i would have to say best thing was watching how much fun my friend had fishing, this took the edge off the game with all the grinding and stuff, just to be able to relax. My friend went psycho he had no time to talk, about 4 hours later he finally snapped out of it and asked if i wanted to grind or... i said np dude just keep on fishing he says he was going to get 4k proof of fish for each of us so we could expand our WH's, i then started to cheer him on. :)

I was fishing for a long time. I guess the time it takes to use 1700 fish shots... Fishing skill lvl 20, on a lvl 60.
I believe you need 20 parts to craft any accessory.
Clan halls can produce the recipe. It is still unknown to the general public, whether or not you can get recipes from gutting fish.
Ive opened up a thousand + fish and all I've gotten are the various fishy goodies and about 500+ recipes for FISH OIL. Both Premium and Greater. BLECH! I hate getting them as I tend to get them in bunches of SIXTEEN. :confused:
I have several fishbones, what seems like millions of recipes for Fish oil.. lots of fishoil and 1 piece of party mask fabric which gives me hope that I will someday get the monocle pieces which is what I really want.

My BH has pulled up a number of monsters. I always spoil them, but have never had a sweep. Have any of you successfully swept a monster? If so, what did you get?
Also, are there any fishing spots which seem to bring up more party mask or other mats?

Fish oil gives you 1 PoCF. Scale gives you 4 PoCF. Hence, to make 1 healing potion, you will give up 6 PoCF. In Sieghardt, those PoCFs sell for 500 adena at least. So, you will give up 3k adena. I don’t know what it’s like in your server, but you make want to sell the oil and scales instead and use the money to buy healing potions from the vendor. Just a suggestion.

I wasn’t here to brag. I just want to know to what extent you get stuff from fishing.
I posted this on the second day of C4. I’ve gotten much better now. :) I’ve gotten a lot of oil/scales/gems/bones that can be turned to PoCF and most of the eye patch and hair pin pieces, but nothing else otherwise. I was wondering if you can get recipes from the fishies.
The very first thing I ever caught was one of those eyeball monster things. It was yellow to me, I was unbuffed, and didn't think to have my bow on my bar. I came out of it with about 200 HP left.
the extra spaces in my books and storage!! how can we get storage expanded for clan holding? i've got recipes in my book for hairpins; patch; monocle; and the oils. looking forward to getting the other ones asap. just ask for teh dwarf who can craft you pretties.. then you can use the recipes you have to make the items you want. (i'm on bartz, btw.)

lol, same type of answer I got when I asked someone where they got their recipes. Some 'friends' got it for me. Then he kept wanting some help from my warsmith . . . /block namehere

the only place I know of anyone getting the good recipes ie eyepatch, hairpins, monocle, GWA, GMH and dyes is from Clan Halls. Right now on Dev people are trying to sell these recipes for over 1 mil each.
I have only seen recipes on sale from clan hall owners. On Kain I saw:
both eyepatches 1mil
forget-me-not hairpin 1mil
maiden hairpin 330k (bought)
hairpin 330k (bought)
greater heal pot 150k (bought)
greater haste 100k
greater swift att 150k (bought)
greater magic haste 150k (bought)

I've only fished about 140 times I think. The best thing I got was party mask fabric. What's yours?
I have over 1000 instances of fishing and I can tell you my best catch was : A friend.
Fishing is a social activity, akin to dancing or music playing for example in SWG. Those people knew of the social aspect of the game, and in that sense, got much more female audience. OMG the talk about dresses and stuff to dance or play music better...

Keep a baby pet out while fishing. They eat almost nothing and when they do eat 1 food will fill them to 100%. Keep Blessed Pet Spirit Shots on you too. It's like a steady heal pot working the whole time you are fishing. That way your ready when the next mob comes along.
Also it takes me forever to switch to my weapon sometimes and the whole time my pet is healing me, but does not draw aggro. Bonus! Brand new babies heal for something like 72 HP per heal with BSpS activated. As a destroyer its not a lot, but its steady and over time really adds up.
Keep your weapon on your hot bar. Put it on an F key, that's easy to find, like F12.

Are there lures that are more likely to fish up mobs than others? Someone was telling me yellow, but I didn't get a whole lot of mobs with those. Maybe one per 20 minutes.
eh, only problem, I'm a warlock, a baby pet is really no help to me.
I always fish with Mew standing behind me, always. I also fish with TP on, always. I've never had 1 mob kill me from fishing, as Mew has her autospam turned on, and yanks agro off me if I'm slow to re-equip my weapon and fight back. the problem was, I wasn't expecting 3 mobs in a row, so I didn't bother to make sure I was at full health when starting fishing after the second mob. add in a little bit of lag before I could unleash Mew onto the mob, and, well.
oh, side note: those fished up mobs CAN and WILL curse your pet or summon with the big head curse. it just doesn't seem to do anything.
At which fishing levels do you guys get the recipes from the fishes? Am getting the red fishes and occasional purples at lvl 19, getting the parts but no other recipes (other than the oil recipes at low levels) :confused:

You just don't. The recipies can be purchased from clan halls, so only clan hall users have access to them.
Funny enough, they are trying that we NOT get these recipies, probably because the greedy SOB's want to collect tax when you buy stuff, so they don't want you crafting...
You can only get various fish oil recipes. On my lvl 17 orc I got so many premium fish oils on the PTS. But none of any kind on my lvl 60 fisher-girl.
I think you can get recipes with ng and d grade rod, with matching fishing expertise.
