Ok so I have got me a new pet and I understand it doesnt grow or do anything apart from heal now and again but I keep reading things and hearing about tame pets or something....what is this all about? can anyone help, im getting very confused here.
Hmmmm....could be a bit hard to get there for me since I only be at lvl42, although if I get a few friends, maybe pack some sandwiches and a few drinks we could make a trip of it and they could look after me :D

and if you tame one they only stay tame for so long. Sometimes if you keep feeding them baby spice they stick around for a while and have some halfway decent buffs....other times as soon as you leave the beast farm they run off. You can not summon or un-summon them they are wild. COnsider them temporary hunting partners that will leave without notice. Also the areas you go through to get up there are in the 60's range so might be a bit risky for you at your lvl.

Yup.
Need to buy the special spices from the Food Manager at the beast farm. Then you walk up to one of the babies wandering the Beast Farm. Feed the baby the food (it'll start to attack you at this point) and it'll start to evolve into a bigger and tougher mob. The mob will either end up a 4x hp mob that is aggro'd and beating on you or a trained cougar/buffalo/kookaburra.
They provide 1 random buff every 20 minutes and provide the occasional heal (usually about 750hp per heal). They don't really seem to care what the player's hp is because my trained partner would often heal me right after I had to spam greater heal pots to get back to full. Whenever the taimed pet talks its easing spice out of your inventory. They're pretty reliable once they're tamed and never had one run away immediately. I lost one because I got it hooked on a wall though and I ran too far away.
So overall they're good for level 60's that want to solo really slow and don't want to invest in a 2nd account.
