Problem

I'm on dialup - so I bought the C4 CD pack, and installed it, ran the game and it still started downloading, then I noticed I had stupidly installed to a differant location than my original install, so I uninstalled that one, and reinstalled into my exsisting L2 location, and the install went by faster, implying less files were installed because they were already there. But now AGAIN it still is downloading. Please help, as I would like to play sometime this month.

Lets first start by removing all lineage from your system... Then install C4, from my understanding there is a glue problem where glue was sticking to the disk...So you may want to watch out for that....

Downloading is NOT an option, 800 megs will take weeks on dialup.

Thers ben some tiny patches after the CD went out, mainly some language files shouldnt even be more then 2-3MB of data... so I don't think you need to worry to much.

The files were animations 8.rtp and such. and Darkelfsomething.utx, at that point I just killed the download and came here.

Okay I feel like a doofus, its starting to go now, still doing some downloading but the total bar is jumping every now and then so hopefully it won't be too long now. Though this is around when I usually go to bed... Oh well.

Well I take it back - it's still doing A LOT of downloading. the total bar is only at 1/3. Hopefully later on it just checks the files, and is done with. I am going to bed and leaving it going. If anything please let me know.
