How do you enter the necropolis's?

I have tried and 3 of them now and he will not teleport me.
Yes another Noob question.

to enter necros and catacombs you need to sign up for the 7 signs quest, at a priest of dawn/dusk

Signing up will give you the right to enter the catacombs/necropolis and then you need to use the little ball of light at the entrances to teleport in. There is only a period of once every two weeks where you can sign up. If you pick dusk, it's free, if you pick dawn and you do not belong to a clan owning castle you either need a pass from a castle owning clan or you pay a fee (which does not go to the castle owners).

The competition lasts for one week. If the side you picked wins, you continue to get entry for the next week. If the side you picked lost, you get a debuff from the Preacher of Doom NPC in town and you cannot enter the necro/cat until the next competition.

If you are between level 20 and 40, there is no fee to enter dawn

There is only a fee after you do your second class change.

Just an FYI. You cannot join at all until after your first class change. I tried doing so on a level 20 dwarven fighter and it told me to sod off. Did the class change and it worked. I don't know for sure if you have to pay to join dawn at 40 or if it's after the second class change. I need to test that...

Well, I have a level 37 SO and I plan to test this when she hits 40.

You have to pay after your 2nd class change if your ally or clan does not hold a castle. I was lazy with my quests and finished at around level 42.

You also only have to pay if you join dawn. Dusk is free. ;)

I know of some people who have succesfully hunted solo in a Catacroplis/Necrocomb.... ;)

I don't however recommend it for your first visit.
The mobs in there are 4x HP which makes for very nice EXP but there are also some interesting patterns of aggro and social aggro behavior.

Take some friends with you when you go. ;)
