as said, both can be used. i use a shield/dama-focus atm for pve, nothing for pvp since i aint rich :p
making a SOM acumen for a grade so i can keep the shield, i dont think i need stun i got plenty of moves to keep people away, and maybe later on i`l lget a blunt
I am currently trying to get enough mats to have a Hellknife Crafted...
So far I have not found that big of a difference between them, in general though these are my thoughts.
1) Spirits shots do more for your Seals landing than Matk does. You notice a slight increase in your Drains, but you would be better off getting a weapon for Acumen/Conversion than worrying about Matk on it if your trying to find a 'best' weapon.
2) Stun is fine and all that...but in most cases it's just a drain on your MP. If you have MP to burn, go ahead. If you solo, the extra crits non-blunts give is better in my opinion.
3) If you solo, One hander + shield is good.
SO
If your the main buffer/healer....weapon with Conversion is 'best'.
If you AOE....Acumen is 'best'.
If someone else is healing/tanking/buffing...stun is 'best'.
If you solo casually...One handed weapon with a shield is 'best'.
If you want to 'do damage' a dual or two hander is 'best'.
....Now that you know you can cry your way to the poor house. --_--;
