Messageboard problems !

Site / Forum Issues Started Last reply 8 posts
Though i am new here i visit many messageboards during each and every week.

There seems to be some problem with the messageboard or im missing something.
Let me explain.
Viewing in flat mode will not show multiple page listings it always stops at 1. So if the message has more content/posts then will fit on one page the second page will not show. The link to a second page does not exisit. How do i know there are second pages, well if you use the threaded method of viewing a post as a test you will see that there are more posts on that initial post then what shows on the first page.
I have my settings set for 50 posts per page yet i see no more then 10 when viewing the post.

What are the problems relating to this? Is it server side or is it browser problem. Now i know there is a problem with your site for IE as some of the viewing techniques used in masking the underlying images and content are not 100% IE compatable some machines will show all of the stuff includeing the menu system you have and some will not. This site is useing techniques that are more compatable with a mozilla type browser. So thats why i said it could be browser problem.

Its to bad the site devs have not informed the player base that the site will not work or show up correctly on all machines due to the lack of compatability with how the browsers treat some html, css,js code.
Just off hand what browser are you using?
I am useing daily either FF1.5 or IE6.
Part of my job daily is to work on the net.
There are problems with the codeing on this site.
Though you can manage to make some code work cross platform. This does not mean that it will work all the time.
Granted some of the code that a mozilla type browser will support is nice. It is not the predominent way to code. It would have been better if they would have used some sort of image manipulation to work part of this site instead of trying to make code that is crossplatform compatible.
The transparent part of the site as it is now is not a truely supported code feture in IE and some of the mozilla platform browsers. Though this does not mean they will not work it means that it will be a iffy situation on each time you visit a site with such css.code
Because i was looking at what you were talking about in both IE and FF. And i didn't see any issues.

I looked at threads that had a very high post count in flat mode and i could see every post in that thread. The only thing i noticed was that the last post wasn't always the last post, that it all depended on who replyed to who.
Well i can assure you that this is happening to me.
I see no place to go to a second page or third or any otherpage other then the one that is shown. And that does not show all the posts naturally if there are more then one page.
Thats because there is no second or third page. When i view the forum with IE and in flat mode looking at say the thread "The players of Lineage" all the posts are on a single page.

A long page but a single one.
That is my exact point.
If there are more posts lised in threaded view there should be a second third or what ever page that would represent that, or you wind up with nothing more then what is left showing on the first page. As i have my page listings set to 50 which is the max value for the amount of posts you should see and i see only ten posts out of 12 then there is something wrong.
In the first post you talked about flat mode, which placed all the posts in one massive long page.

But now your talking about threaded view? Ether way in ie or firefox i see no issues.
