He is an instrument of destruction, and with his brothers he once gave the Gods themselves a reason to fear.

The watermarks are there because I took the screenshots from a replay I made of the event last night on the Test Server. If the group bravely standing before him looks small, it's because it is. Not wanting to waste time fighting all the mobs to get to him, we ran through huge groups of 5x physical resistant mobs and lost a lot of people along the way.
Then, a group of a dozen noobs who just couldn't wait for everyone else went in before everyone, and the room was locked soon after, so those poor ******** were slaughtered mercilessly with no hope of defending themselves.
The main group that went in fared only somewhat better. There couldn't have been more than 65 people, and some of those people were content to just watch on the sidelines. Regardless of the outcome, it was really fun just getting to see Valakas up close with my fellow testers. Looking forward to an eventual rematch. :D Visually, pictures don't do the experience any semblance of justice. It's quite a thing to behold with the crimson behemoth charging at you, unleashing a hellish torrent of flame. Valakas is a masterpiece. So kudos to everyone involved in making him.
Post the replay? :)
was that the raid on the PTS the one night?
arg dumb question chuck god!

>_< lol
post the replay pretty please! >.<
Someone told me that he's weak to fire. This sounds odd to me, since fire is obviously his element. But is this true? If not, is there anything he is weak to?
Just water. From where I was standing, however, it wasn't readily apparent that he was weak against much of anything.
I was going to make a nice production of the Valakas raid with a thundering score and fancy editing, but if you guys would prefer the .l2r straight that's fine, too. :D

Here you go. (http://webpages.charter.net/strafe/valakas.l2r)

I would recommend fast-forwarding through the 15 minutes it takes for him to show up, because that's how much time passes before the "room" locks and disallows other players from entering to potentially ruin your raid. First-person mode gets you closer to the beast, and I happen to prefer slow motion during the close-ups. But that's me. Anyway, it's not the entire fight, my recorder cut off a ways in, but it does give you a taste. Enjoy, guys.
Cool, thanks for the info :)

I will watch the video later, when I'm not in shop mode :)
Thanks!! A video would be good too, that's what I've been doing. Get the replay then fraps the angles I like. Very useful. I have Baium if anyone wants to see that.
w00t! tks much! ^^ cant wait to see it! =D
