Mental Shield - mental attacks

The description of Mental Shield has changed in C4 to resist sleep, hold, fear and "mental attacks". So.. What are these...mental attacks? I assume it still protects against silence (otherwise, I want my money back) - how about cancel? Was this part of the cancel nerf - that mental shield protects against it? Paralyze? What?

Been wondering the same thing, is a very vague description.

Good question, definitly doesnt protect against cancel because cancel still lands 100% like C3.

Good question, definitly doesnt protect against cancel because cancel still lands 100% like C3.

Trust me, it doesn't land 100% like it did in c3. Had one of my clannies who is also a scorc try to cancel me to try to get rid of some debuffs from hot springs while in the arena. Got rid of most of my OL buffs the first try, then did absolutely nothing on the next try.
