Here's a little wallpaper that I just did for the heck of it.
You should all remember in my Spotlight interview that I was making a little "Stabby" comic. I was finishing up putting all of my pages together so I can make a little comic to sell at cons (this is the story that is influenced by my online gaming). I made a cover and as I finishing it I thought it would make a nice wallpaper.
You should notice that her armor is inspired by the brigadine armor from the game.

When I looked at the drawing I couldnt help noticing her right arm. The only way I can see her holding her sword that way is as if she was holding it the wrong end up.

She's holding her right arm straight back with the sword blade up. The DE males sometimes swing their swords around like that in game. Imagine holding your hands out straight in front of you with a sword in each. In your left hand you are holding the sword straight up, in your left hand the sword is held with the blade down. That's how she's holding the swords.
As for the armor falling apart, there's a Bubblegum Crisis picture I have seen where Priss (the main character) is standing there, posing, and her body armor is coming off of her. I was trying to portray that same effect here.
The "armor falling apart" effect is a bit irritating, I would expect a more surprised look on the face of a warrior who's just about to lose all his protection. If stabby would wear pants, "caught with your pants down" would describe that expression quite accurate. :)
I like the pose tho, looks very cool. And nothing wrong with her right arm, everyone who has seen a male bladedancer ingame will recognize it at least on the second look.
Are you going to ship these comics to Euro-land? :)
This would be the classic BGC? or the 2040 stuff? While the 2040 remake is fun I still like the classic better. Back in the day I had the DVD set of the whole series but then I loaned them to the wrong person. DVDs dissappeared. Sigh... I have enjoyed following your Stabby McStoo strip. Keep up the good work as always.
Edit: I did not read your post there about the Priss pic. That was the series and the picture I remember.
I'm talking classic BGC! The only thing I liked about 2040 was the character designs... other than that, 2040 sucked (the Boomers looked like BUGS!!!! Argh!).
And yes... that's the pic for my inspiration (thanks for linking to that, saves me the trouble of finding it and putting up a link myself).
As for the dagger/sword being held wrong... I already explained that.
Hey Stabby you need to update your website with the updated comics you made... that way we can see them... cause I miss seeing some that isn't on your comic book website...
