I think it's time for a sever reset since the markets are all out of wack so many b's ebrs ect.
It's been 2 years and there are lots of newbie bonus quests ect.
Lots of people are wanting a new sever why don't we just reset and clean things give new people a chance.
And to all those who cry all the time and effort<ebay> that they put into a character in 6 months tops you will be back up to 75 :p
And you are an utter [censored], if you claim, that everyone, who achieved something in this game, is an ebayer.
If anything make a new server, so that we honest players can get rid of greedy newbies like yourself and Time Cop.
Resetting a Server would prolly result in cancelation of roughly 80%+ of the accounts who use that server as prime server.
And once again you and your partner Timecop are behaving like little fishes, who come into a large lake and then demand, that all the big fishes go away, just because you arrived late and not everthing is handed to you on a silver platter.
I cannot eat so much, as I want to vomit when I read such a suggestion of yours.
I'm still just fairly new to this game, played for 4 months, my main will get to level 40 this week (probably tonight) and I have a Full Plate and SLS waiting for me in the WH.
It's not really much compared to a lot of people on the server, I mean I would take me a lot less time to get it now that I know more how the game works.
But the if they were to reset my server I would quit right there, and I can't even begin to imagine what people with legit level 75 chars would think.

So does darkbird = TimeCop, or is that just my imagination. If not they need to get together in RL, they have a lot in common.
A server reset/player wipe would destroy the game for a high volume of players. What's worse is that it would be more difficult for the legitimate players to deal with, then those who are botted/ebayed/power-leveled. Either way not an idea that I would support, because I've invested too much time into this game to get where I am, I really don't want to try that grind all over again, and I can't imagine how it would feel for the 7x and 7x/somethings out there.
I wonder, what darkbird and Timecop would say, if they would level their toons to lets say 70... or just lets say to any high level verge, where you got goals to achieve of any kind...
And then some noob comes around and says, hey, let us restart the servers. I want to have the same chances than anyone else. All your work is worthless, only I count, lets all start from scratch.
I guess the Cop and the Birdie would be the first to cry havoc then.
And contrary to them, *I* will not accuse them, that they wouldn't even care, cause they would just ebay/bot their way back to the top.

If they would go ahead and reset the servers (the chance is slimmer than the Olsen twins on a bad week but for the sake of the argument, lets imagine they do) it would probably kill a huge chunk of the playerbase. And also, the people that stayed will want to get back to where they are.. and how do you do that the fastest/with the least amount of work? You take it to a higher level.

Yeah this would really hurt bots, it most certainly wouldn't hurt those of us who have taken two years to get to the mid 60's. Nope it would hurt the farmers who can level to 75 in a month.

The fun is not just getting there... but playing with your toon once you get there. People shouldn't be forced to lose that.

It will also cost lagit players 1000s of hours that they have PAID for via subscriptions costs, and they would most likely quit too.

this isn't a good argument... an argument needs to be reasonable... I too enjoy a good argument... infact I love them... but pick a different topic...
And the Dwarf hatred continues. This confirms my suspicions of TimeCop = Darkbird. Frankly, I don't have a clue what being/playing a Dwarf has anything to do with this thread or your suggestion. You are asking for a player wipe. Lots of players, legit and otherwise (arguendo), are telling you this is probably not going to hurt the botters/ebayers, but do more damage to those who have toiled for years to acheive the levels they have.
This is not WoW where you can get to 60 in a matter of a month. Here the only way to get to 60 legitimately, without high level friends to power level you, is to grind it out, and that grinding even if you always are in a party of 9 takes time.
Umm, why would the only people that ebayed/powerlvlel be complaining about this. This would destroy all that the legit people worked on, the power lvlers/ebayers would be the least effected becuase they didn't work to get where they are. As for bots/farmers, lol, this would be their dream. They wouldn't lose adena that they botted with for 2 years. I am sure they have a fast turnaround time, as they aren't making RL money if they held onto everything that they made, also with the banned accounts, they are used to having to restart at low lvls and work way up again. This would in fact create more of a market for them. Alot of the people in game are B grade or A grade, sure there is the jump to S grade, and wedding gowns now, but aside from that, unless a person drops something valuable, the neccessity to buy adena should be dropping. I don't think starting a new server would be that much of an expense, and besides how would they pick which server to destroy just so a few people can have the fun of being in the pack for a few weeks again.
Personally it doesn't really bother me that I am not the highest lvl in the game, and that I am always broke/striving for my next piece of equipment. I am an easy target to most in game due to my class and lvl. But it makes it feel like an accomplishment working and trying to catch up to the rest of the server. If nothing else, you speak of the cheaters wanting to be the highest lvl, ect. But isn't this thread about wanting a reset so everyone is back to a common ground really your solution on getting to the same lvl as the majority of the server without having to work at it.
Aside from that C4 was all about adding high lvl content. If they reset the servers every year, a majority of people would never be able to see what the new area looks like. I am way to low to go out touring around there now, but am hoping I could stroll thru and see the new sites in my lifetime. Also a majority if the real fun in the game comes only when you are high lvl. Sure it may be fun to go wack a few mobs, but I think the reason alot of people strive to become higher lvls is to participate in castle seiges etc. And not becuase its fun to grind from lvl 1-75 again and again.

And where does that leave the more casual players? There are those like myself who have played since Open Beta, yet due to IRL things such as work/family/school/etc are not even close to level 75. You do realize, of course, that wiping the servers at this point in time would generate demand for ebayed adena rather than decrease it. What then? Armies of bots controlling hunting grounds until legitimate players are high-level enough to combat them? This has happened before (prelude/early C1) and I do not wish to relive those days. I'm sorry that you feel entitled enough to suggest such a harmful action. Most definitely /unsigned.

I assume you've already noticed that darkbird is quick to support TimeCop any time his ideas run into trouble, no matter what the idea is or how prejudiced his comments get...and now darkbird has taken to reposting things TimeCop isn't supposed to post. Definitely either the same person or close RL friends who support each other no matter how stupid their ideas get.

*hugs Shadowyn* Yeah you and me both, playing since the beginning, but not actively enough to already be at the high levels. I think if the server reset, Plunder and I would have to find something else to do... That would be a sad sad day.
First off sorry Hieverybody, i was directing my comments earlier at the OP i just clicked reply on the wrong post.
now to the OP's rebuttal. I have never botted or anythign like that. If i had i would probably have gotten a bit farther in this game in 2 years. And to be honest i think the people who woudl complain the most would be people like me. the ones who have put a hell of a lot of their own time into a character only to have it destroyed by some idiot who's jealous that i've had more time.
recently on my server a very large clan wa almost entirely banned for botting/ebay. Almost all of them have near 75 characters again though it's been only a week. If they whiped the servers they would do the exact same thing. People like me however would just quit. We play because it's a persistant world, not because it's fair.
Edit: also i don't play a dwarf my only other characters besides Kiroth are a lvl 12 human fighter and a lvl 14 elf wizard.
Guys... I just noticed something... He never asked for server reset in the first place. Take closer look at the subject and OP's post... It's seVer reset. I say lets reset those in regular manner. I mean too much sevage can't be good.
I love Lineage, discovered it by accident after playing GW and never looked back. Im a relative newb, only 3 months. And yes its been bleeding frustrating at times. I could do without the grind sometimes. But if they reset the servers, it would be bye byes from me.
My highest char might only be 29 but I put a lot of work into her. When Im using my alts, I miss my main. To put everyone back to 0 is daft. Plus, to assume all high levels are ebayers/etc etc bad words etc........implies something about you as a player/person, not others..
