Doesn't the server would have a higher capacity in C4 and Players could play normally? seems not. its 7 pm GMT +1 (normal EU time) when ppl came back to work have done home stuff and wanna have fun playing L2. I've got the same problem, and I'm wishing C4 hadn't been realised. I can't get into the game to enjoy any of the benefits and when I do get in, I'm lagging out. Before C4 I had no problems at all.
I dont usally get frustrated about this things, but this time i am really ******! The first time i dident get that angry becuase i was expecting good and solid servers so more people could play!
i can get if the server reaches it capacity and no more people can logg in. But what about server transfers? new server? I have played this game for so long and i dont whant to quit, but common dont make me wait 2 - 3 months for a answer telling me you are working on it? i need you to answer this somewere on the forums!

The servers are good and solid. The problem is, as has been before and for a long time, bots. NCSoft has, apparently, not done anything about them at all. In fact, I'd say there are more bots around than ever.
So it's not that our Teon server has a low capaccity or anything. It's just that 80% or more of this capacity, is filled with bot parties.
As for myself, I'm petitioning about every single bot I see. I don't know if it'll help or not (most likely won't), but either way I'll try.
what would we say so...Plz NC Soft create a new server then the bots will farm adena in this new server to sell it at ige or else.
And stop being blind. When one day we saw in gludio thousands of dwarf dlvling on guard with name like "slejmoghj" " ojgennemz" "xwjeixiejon" or whatever don't tell me that are normal player. We have enough difficulties to lvl so if we have fun being killed by the guards well id just say those guys are crazy or just drunk. And guess what im sure that all those character were scavenger or bounty hunter but that's just bad luck nothing special about it.
isnt realy anyone able to get ncsoft's *** into court over this? they are clearly ripping off honest customers and makeing huge money allowing bots and farmers to break eula.

I think before NC Soft release another expansion they can solve the problem with the bots .... that will be better than releasing expansion C 10 or whatever :P
My solution this far has been not to log off. If the client crashes, I'm screwed but otherwise it's a fine tactic. Btw, the server has a big _normal_ population too. When C4 first came, the bots took 1½-2days to appear and before they appeared again the server was running at normal which translates to what, 50%?
Seriously, upgrade the **** server more NCSoft, this is hella annoying and many people have already left because of it in the end of C3 and more will leave now since the only reason they kept playing was the arrival of C4 and the _PROMISE_ from you guys that the server capacity would be raised and this problem would be solved.
Charmille makes a good point. first couple of days were pleasant. Not sure if that was because the bots needed an upgrade or because people hadnt installed C4 yet.

NCsoft please dont plan a new computer that can handle current load of players when maxed out +10%, plan 2500% of raw power. Otherwise bots will just fill up those spots.
It was trully great first few days, I couldnt see a bot in sight. Ithought Im in heaven (the way L2 supposed to be in the first place), free of bots.
Ammend your EULA: Every suspicious player behavior that resembles botting will be punished by 1-2 day ban. Repeated offences would mean permanent ban.
Its a VIRTUAL game, you can make any EULA you like, and players will concur with it as long as it kills a few bot groups.
around 5 mont you are working on it.... can you understand that the players are tired of waiting??? I come back from work wanna play a game I PAY!!! for ..well for what...hammering the login server with my password and can not connect to my server. You wanna do something.. take a char go check out all catacombs/necropolis and then you will see what to do. 3/4 of those are full of farmers using illegal program and you dont need a BIG investiguation to check it out.
I stadied up tonight so i could get some decent grinding done. When i log on there no npcs, a few hours earlier the mob server went down. Theres more than enough posts about this type of thing already. Im getting very frustrated.
The npc server is really playing up tonight. Perhaps an update about what is going on is in order from ncsoft? Seems a little silly to be standing around for 20mins just to wait for the npcs to reappear.
I mean..Yeah you apologize for the inconvenience. I know this is not "your" fault if NPC server goes down laggs etc... but think that most of us are paying an account 10+$/month even if its not more than one. Actually we are paying for a server that we can't go in.. IF we can log in, its laggy and after the lagg, the npc server is down....You (NC Soft programmer) have put up a war system wich is good (nothing more or less) but think that people in war are losing % of exp during those war. When the time is done to take it back, we can't do it....Can you apologize by giving us a free time for not being able to play the game during a certain ammont of time? I don't think so...
Actually as a lot of people who are playing Teon we ask the "BIG HEAD" of NC Soft or anything controling this game to put itself at the place of the player and trying to understand that 10% of the server (70% are bots and 20% are logged in) has the feeling of paying for nothing...but maybe only watch the cash coming in THEIR bank is enough. If it's that tell us now please then we could really know if we can wait for something from this game including all that is working for it
Seriously, this is ridiculous. Yes, I understand there will always be bots. But after being petitioned, why don't you ban the bots. There have been several I petitioned over and over and over and nothing got done. Then there was the whole MDK/Pwnz crap. It took you months to find out that they were botting to get xp from their wars and using l2****** to get opponent's health down to 100 and then stop attacking them. Just suggesting(considering you're FA and not GM), but couldn't you try to put a fire under the GM's to keep the logins to Normal or Good, and if the GM can't fire them. If you go into any necro or catacomb, you can find 8-64+ bots to ban(depending on time of day). Then there is Gorgon's Garden outside Giran, TOI(most lvls), outside of Hunter's Village, and on and on and on. Regardless of them being back again 2-3 days later, if you ban the bots, you will have to just look in newbie villages, rather than the entire map. If the GM's did their job, it would be a lot easier on them in the longrun. And if its all about money, every time they ban a bot, they get 15 or 50 dollars(depending on how they get the new key) in addition to the month's fees for playing. I saw one video after the last big bot ban, Gludio was overrun with dwarf bots killing themselves with the guards.
A little while ago, I was telling some of my friends about the Lineage gameplay, they were very interested, but i told them not to worry trying it b/c of the horrid bot problem.

The NPC server is "returning shortly" like twice every hour. I hunt for 30 min, then sit on my bum in clanhall for another 30 minutes to wait for the NPCs to respawn... Rinse and repeat. Any hopes that this will be solved any time soon? It's utterly annoying. :mad:
Maybe next thing you know they will tell us its a "feature" of the game, so we dont play too long periods at a time :D ... why admit to making a mistake, and being honest with the people who are paying money to your company, when you can just ignore it and call it a feature. And this way save yourself some work.
Chill down people, the mobs just needed a vacation and now they're on a plane off to Italy to watch the Olympic winter games :) When the Olympics are over, mobs will be back, enjoy! :cool:
