Hey all. Ok..so im thinking about maing an archer as alt. and i dont have the slightest idea which one to make...SOOO i've enlisted the help of ya'll! i just need stats and pros and cons of each class of archer. thanks. :) PEACE!
HE is the middleman, has something good from both like most human classes. Highest HP, more damage than SR, less than PR. More crit rate than PR, less than SR. Slower than either of the elf classes etc. Really a popular choice if you're going for an archer. PR is somewhat less popular as it is more frail and has a low crit rate. Glasscannon build of a -9 con PR can do some nasty damage tho ;)
hmm I seem to think that HE's have the lowest crit rate. Crit rate is based on dex and there isnt a huge differance in dex between a SR and a PR. I have a high lvl PR that has tats (str and dex) and my dex is only slightly lower than a SR and I can crit more than a HE.
Basicly if you want to look at each:
SR: Helpful magic (heals, cures), highest speed, high crit rate, low dmg, medium con (hp/cp)
PR: Harmful magic (debuffs, dmg spells), second fastest speed, medium crit rate, Highest Strength (dmg), lowest con.
HE: No magic, slowest speed, highest Con (HP/CP), medium dmg, think crit rate is medium but with skills like snipe go up signifcantly.
Basicly for speed go SR, for dmg go PR, for longevity go HE.
Well, except the fact that HE's get crit damage and crit chance passives, where DEs only get crit damage and Elves only get crit chance. A Hawkeye has a higher crit chance than a PR, flat out.
However, the PR is offset by having some very handy magic debufs and attacks.
Basically, if you want a finese character, go PR.
If you want the big dumb meat slug, go HE.
If you want a decent crit rateand speeeeeeeeeeeed , (a factor many people forget is good in this game) go SR.
The STR difference between HE and PR is only 1 STR. This is nothing! Why people say PR hurt more then a HE i do not know. HE have the most stats to play with so can happily go -4 con +4 str and out damage all other archers. Combine PL set with a +4str -4 con dye and possibly a further +4dex -4con dye and you have the best damage out put archer around. 48 STR, 34 DEX, 34 CON is far greater then anything an elf archer gets, the weakness to HE however is their lack of magic abilities, such as the all important cripple move. These are the stats of each class wearing PL set and using a +4 str +4 dex -8con dye combo.
HE= STR 48 DEX 34 CON 34
SR= STR 44 DEX 39 CON 27
PR = STR 49 DEX 38 CON 23
I know that id rather be the HE simply because they have a high STR and CON and a respectable DEX level. The other two elven archers each have excellent DEX but their CON is on the same level as mages, makeing them poor damage takers.
But my buddy who is a HE is pretty good, we kill each other about the same in the arena. Although he has a pretty obvious advantage in the damage area and in a closed up spot, like a arena, harder for speed to matter as much. So I would say, PvP? HE... PvE? SR
