Almost as strong as mine on the PTS. I went with +5 wit instead of +4 con because with Malaria 4, cast speed went 1.2ishk with Arcana, 1.5+ with DC, and that cannot be surpassed by a small boost in hp/cp. Especially when I have CH+SE+BD buffs.
He's still a beast.
Was one of the only few people who could stand toe to toe with me. Him, Linsha, Shihaya... all good pvpers.
Just silence that bastard, then cancel him, then sleep him. Kill his summon, then do a dance infront of the silenced man, and BOOM...no more necro.
Lets see how strong he is without his buffs, magic, or summon.
You're acting like these spells actually land before he kills you.

Let's face it.... his debuffs have a better chance of landing then yours. SHs lack the hp/ tp/ cast speed that they do, so they aren't an issue. SPS can't hit for -_-, so they cancel them all they want to. Sorcs can match them in power, but not in debuffs and survivability. Yeah... let's say they do cancel them, big deal. I got cancelled all the time and still made it out like a bandit.
Hell, even unbuffed his staff would give him 1.6-1.7k m atk, and arcane power would boost that up by alot more than empower or dances would in the first place. He will still kick your *** before you know what happened to you... pming him with "omg nice crit you lucky bastardALKSJFSDLKGJ".
As for his pet... go for it first. While it's taking those 3-5 nukes you are throwing at it, he is killing you... gg?
Don't shrug off Soul Takers.... they are the ultimate class in C4.

amen... going to have to live with this class for at least 6 months :P

Hopefully, if they do rebalance Necromancers someday, they'll merely tone down their nukes or remove/alter their TP. People who were attracted to the class as a viable hybrid, or for the control abilities, should still be left with something like what they were looking for.
Toning down the nukes/ changing transfer pain is the only solution.... and I don't see it coming any time soon. For the next six months, the dominion of PVP goes to the necromancer.

Actually according to most interviews with the DeVs that I've seen, we haven't seen the last of C4 yet. The C4 we've gotten is roughly 30-50% of what was originally planned, and as far as I can tell is still planned.
I've heard from a few semi-reliable sources that the Chronicle update we'll be getting in 6 months won't be C5...but the missing half of C4.
dmg to himself (another equivalent lvl):
70.9/1017*91*power = 6.3*power
74 lvl std nuke > power 108 => 680 dmg
Enchanted about 112 > 706 dmg
Dark Vortes Power 139 > 876 dmg
Surrender effect 3 is 23% m.def > 130% dmg
Gloom 20% ? 125% dmg
gloom
1095 dmg
1147
1147
1147
1147
1147 (over his HP -> dead)
So its 7 spells, with TP5 14 spells to kill himself.
Right ?
Ie ... Hell Knight:
> Increases one's resistance to hold/sleep attacks.
> Greatly increases one's resistance to shocking/paralyzing attacks. MP is continuously used.
> Sacrifices one's HP to deliver a curse of darkness to the target. Removes the target's buffs and, for a brief moment, greatly reduces maximum CP, resistance to debuff attacks, and the effect of HP recovery magic. Can only be used when HP is at 75% or lower.
> For a brief moment, reflects buffs/debuffs cast on the user. Is effective only against physical skills. Can only be used while a shield is equipped.
NCsoft wants 76+ as Half-gods (but there is gods, it need some balance, more testing and so...)
But dont compare lvl 78 v. newbie 70.
hah, necros can be beaten with ease. During PTS in the olympiad tournie, where in my opinion the only fair pvp occurs, i successfully reflected using ripostance stance a necromancers paralize, right from the word go. I dont know why he was trying to para me as i had lionheart lvl 3 on, but there you go. At 3rd class change there are plenty of classes which can take out soultakers during 'fair' pvp, summoners wipe em out, so do archers and most classes with a slow technique. I got lucky when i fought but there are several techniques out there which really screw em over.

No offence but since when has their been "fair" pvp? Arena style pvp =! PvP in general. Also like to ask if that Necro u fought, did he have a servitor?
Technique is important, but sometimes with base stats alone player can be rediculasly powerful. Technique comes into play when fighting enemies that equal or greater lvl or mass pvp.
I spent most of the C4 PTS learning and training with a necro friend, finding out good methods to beat him. The best i came up with is slapping ripo stance on and going all out on the summon, i could usually kill it after 1x TSS, one triple slash, 2 charge stones and a double slash. During this time the necro is putting all the debuffs on me, and because of ripo stance i reflect a good amount of them. Quite often ill reflect silence or paralize, sometimes even cripple, as soon as one of those 3 lands and the summon is dead, im on him like flies on a ****.
I think i recorded one of our play fights, ill try find it.
I agree that necros are over power'd, but instead of moaning about it i found ways to overcome them, and from what i know these are the classes which can defeat them:
Maestro (summon + ripo stance)
Dark Advenger (Very high m def, range attacks, kick *** summon)
Duelist (If your lucky with ripo stance)
Sorc (Slow summon attack necro)
PS/ES/WarLock (Straight up ownage)
SR (Slow summon stun necro and attack)
PW (Yes even a dagger can win! slow teh summon and stab away at necro)
Im sure there are other classes which can beat them aswell, but these are the classes i know for sure can beat necro's as ive seen it with my own eyes.
It wouldn't. Unless the PW got the drop on the necro, there's very little chance he would win. And I don't see any pure summoners doing "ownage" on a necro. Maybe I should refer that guy to the l2pets forum and the large post (by summoners) about facing a necro. The general consensus is "run away or pray".

Now it sounds all cool and all, but really there is a difference from PTS server and the live ones. PTS u can set urself up to be same lvl and have all latest 3rd class skills, but on live servers where still barely scratching along in upper 50s and u got to face off with Noblesse/soultakers on ur server. Reality bites and Necro still sucks fighting against, specially pre lvl 76. If u make it 76+ I am sure whole nother ball game.
If you slow the summon you can keep away from it and attack the necro, When your up close hitting the necro he will get scared and start moving n nukeing, its unlikely they would stand still to let you hit them allowing the summon to help out, most of the time when a ranged class see's its hp moving they lose their bottle and move. If i was the necro i would run around the summon, but in my experiance most run away from the melee and the summon. I recorded this fight ( necro vs PW ) but i dont know how to post it here. basically, the PW slowed the summon and chased after the necro, killing him in a all-or-nothing style. Ive also got one wear the PW hero on the PTS, dominated a sorc in less then 10 seconds.
This is all from the PTS, during 'fair' self buffed same level PvP. Im sure that on live it is a different story. Im simply showing a different view point from the OMG necro is a god nerf it right now, view.
If you want to nerf something, nerf titans.
Necro is 2x more overpowered cause: ppl dont know his weaknesses. And cause: Pvm equiped melee "cant" beat mage.
He is over powered now, but ... you magnify it.
Maybe: If you are maniacal korean *(fighting/pvp for grind area everyday), you will find L2 more balanced.
Slow doesnt bother the nuking summon much >.> And that PW cant take too many nukes from both the summon and Necro at the same time. Also, if you're at range 900 when he starts nuking, you're good as dead 1vs1 self buffed. Melees can beat nukers if they get close before nukes start to fly, but if it's 900 range it's like being a target on a shooting range.
Yes, I exaggerate a bit, but more often than not, a nuker will own a melee if they start at 900 range.

Why couldn't they just call it C5 then. The masses will be ****** if they call it the other half of C4.

Just my take.
umm... you are complaining that you are 5x and can't kill a 76+ Soultaker?
that's y i pray to God everynight that Korea doesn't listen to NA....
yes... they deffinately suck when they are 55 and trying to kill somebody 78... they should deffinately balance the game so a 55 can can kill a 78... it is only fair.
If you guys ever tried to pvp same level overlords you would stop [censored] about necro's. Overlords far more overpowered.
"Overpowered" "Nerf" etc threads are only tangentally related to in-game experience. They are largely based on the current board fads. Don't stress it.
There is always going to be a class which can beat a higher proportion of the other classes, with the chronicles this shift of power changes. For every class out there right now, i can think of at least 2 other classes which can happily beat it in pvp. Some classes have far more classes that they lose to then others, but it isnt really much of a problem. Necromancers are not gods, they can be beaten, you just need the know how.
By opinion on lineage pvp is that most of the time with exception of the olympiad, pvp happens in mass, rarely do you get 1v1 situations. Most of the time its large groups attacking each other, where parties of ranged/mage classes have a distinct advantage over melee's. Im tired of being the first to die in siege wars because i have to run to my oppenant to even hit them, thats why im re-rolling to a range as it seems, for now anyway, that the pure melee class has died.
haha :D.
The SPS in my name stands for something other then spirit shot or spell singer, curse you players, you have tarnished my beautifull name! People always ask why my DA is called SPS and im fed up of explaining it lol :p

In case you missed it..he wasn't talking arena he was talking the olympiad event where everyone comes in with no out side buffs.
As a WarSmith I lost to several necros and beat several necros. The Ripostance is a lvl 77 skill and saw several necros silence(or some similar skill) themselves when they tried to use it on me.
Necro's aren't the tough ones in C4...the toughest summoner in the olympiad were the DE Summoners
