If your not flying one, but fighting side by one or riding one. Are they usefull in castle seiges? Or 100% useless?

If you are a Noblesse you'll get this skill:

Strider Siege Assault - A Noblesse mounted on a strider can perform this strong attack against the castle wall or castle gate during a siege. Consumes 5 Spirit Ore.

I use my Star to hunt (I don't ride him when doing this). Sometimes I go to an area where LordVaako can solo a mob while I solo nearby.I find him quite useful. :)
