Well, yesterday I was checking out the "Tanor Silenos groups" southwest of giran to test my brand new Tempest spell(which actually works great).
Then I see this party of 7-8 characters including a high lvl Warsmith.
They do the "bogboom-xp-show" and it looks like they had no problems using the bigboom.
First the DA'er(or whatever) pulled like 70-80 mobs+++ and landed it neer the 6 player(for powerleveling) then the Bigboom exploded and all mobs but 5-6 died. They then start rushing at the Warsmith, but the DA'er did a new "Heat" and they were right back at him. The remaning mobs got killed in like 5-10 sec.
So the question is "What bigboom nerf"?????
XP vice I see no difference, maybe the bigboom cost more to summon, but I guess that if anyone use it, then it's for power leveling and not for adena.
First the dmg a Big Boom does decreases with range. This means that mobs standing on top of the Big Boom get 100% dmg, mobs standing further away will get less and less dmg. The nerf here is that you will have to wait till all the mobs are on the big boom, which leads to the risk of them killing the boom before it blows.
The second nerf comes from the fact that mobs now attack the summoner when the summon dies. This is what happened with the 5-6 mobs in your example. This makes it really hard for WS to solo with Big Boom (which was their only way of getting any decent xp solo).
id like to add that the lvl you get big boom (58) all tanor mobs are dark blue
the ppl were doing plvling services which i already stated is nerfed but highly posible
what isnt possible is a ws actually big booming with less than 4 ppl in party
of course big boom generate enough xp to be good for 1 fairly happy ws or a satisfied ws and a fairly unhappy se
as for adena well if you use shots solo you should break even with a lvl 2 big boom
in a party you would lose a few hundred thou per hour
ok, but this powerlvl service you talk about, how much does ppl pay for that(in adena)?
I sure would like to have some high-lvl WS clan-mate and DA'er to help me get a little quickere lvl'ing, I'm close to lvl50 with my SH'er and lvl'ing takes forever :( .... but I don't have such high-lvl-hardcore-friends on this server ;)
Actually I can make like 0.25-30% XP pr. "Nos Lad" on AI. When using over-shot I gain 8.500XP solo :).

i cant even count how many lvl 5 noobs offered me 5+ million adena to plvl them
i would like to add most nukers when they find out how much i made booming were not too impressed
but idk maybe 1% per buff round is ok for some classes
there is no such things as slow xp with a SH at lvl50 :) if it takes "forever" to level, you are doing something wrong :)

Well lvl'ing at AI I get like 0.25-0.30% solo XP. I guess I can make like 20-25% an hour soloing, is that alright or can I do it faster?.
I'm actually thinking about partying with my friends a DA'er lvl 4x and a Sorc. lvl50.
the plan is that the DA'er heat some Tenor S. and stand right on the Sorc. then I fire of a Tempest at the same time as the Sorc. fires of a Aura, that way we should one-shot them all.

Sry, I dident ment to be rude or anything, but sometimes I get a little eger to get to that next lvl, and those new skills&spells.
I think the most ppl do some kind of powerleveling, I did it my self at low lvl with the Flame Strike and the spiders/lizardmen northwest of Gludio.
anyway, I was just curious on how much ppl did pay for the pvrlvling service, and if a lvl5 will pay 5kk for that, then I sure as hell can see where all that b*t-e-bay-adena goes :).
I went there with some +6 Homu, Emp3, Acu3 and a Demon Set.
2 Tempest each group making it like 12k XP
works well till you hit 56 but that's a good level to go to Field of Massacre and kill those green things there...
I see, but at my current lvl, the Tenor S. is quite good.
I use Demon Set +4int, Dye +4int and buffed with zerk I got like 670-700 m.atk.
I oneshot 3 out of 4 Tenor S. in a group where they were all white to me, I got like 8.500 XP. The group with the 3-4xShermans and the cheieftan I took like 80-90% of there HP. They were all white/yellow to me.
So if I get Empower1 I think I have like 1000 m.atk. and should be able to one-shot those as well.
On AI the Nos Lad also gave 8.500 XP or so, but I used 2xHurricane + 1xShadow Flare for over-shot bonus, and I uses C-BSpS for all 3 shots.
I should be able to do the Tenor groups one-shot with C-BSpSs, so it cost 1/3 the MP and 1/3 the shots compared to Nos Lad.
With a recharger I went from 52 to 56 in less than 12 hours in Oren ;)
Allways using C-BSpS there (and getting like 6m Adena and 3 C-Grade Full-Drops + Endless Coal/Stem/Thread + Materials for Comp/FP/Mithril) but don't tell anyone, I'll delvl and get back there soon, with C4 there seem to be some nice new additions that even the farmers place some bots there...
