There are many people with severe real life issues who retreat into video games to evade help in real life. Because there people will make rant thread about them instead of giving them drugs and locking them away. [/exaggeration mostly unrelated to the incdent.]

No, seriously. That guy sounds like he uses that situation to vent some RL frustration. Imho. I think it's great how you handled the situation, couldn't have been done much better.

However this shoudn't hinder you from being nice to others in the future. First, in most cases it does pay off to be nice. Sometimes you get a thank you, sometimes a friend, happened to me that a reroll gave one million adena to my alt out of the blue as "reward".

And then there are those people who would have to force themselves to be mean and regret that afterwards by blaming themselves to have caused grief to the innocent. I know good people are rare... but they are even in L2.

What a nutjob. Don't let this sour you on the whole being nice experience, you handled yourself very well. For every ten emotionally unstable boobs in this game, there's one genuinely nice person who will respect and appreciate you.

Though I guess that's not much incentive, huh.
I know how you feel.. I really hate some of these people that come in the game and take out all their rl frustrations and anger towards us... it makes nice people like myself who try to help those that have some serious issues, really hate playing this game..
sorry that the fool was such a jerk. but being nice matters, even if only to yourself. beleive me, i hate when i have to tell someone 'no' but, there have been times when it was really necessary.
lol...I'd have kept the helmet. And the mats.

I totally agree.
Some people are jerks, but then others will remember you being nice for a long long time. Heck I remember the person that rezzed me back in OB still, because later that same person buffed another one of my chars for no reason.
i know monnie ingame (im Datorius or MissLana) and monnie would never steal stuff XD
This guy is so stubborn O_O that's sick.
He just had to pick up his stuff and go, or go on with playing with monnie. wheres the problem? freaking people..
did he cry about a few cokes and thread? if he had like 100+ threads maaaaybe.. just maybe..
