im a high lvl ws who needs to know whats better an aoba with haste or a meteor shower with focus
if they both have the same pattack what would be best?
aoba shortens stun reuse and cast time while also decreaseing summoning speed (not sure on the 15 second mech summon time)
meteor shower has focus, is it a joke putting focus on a blunt or would it work? i have an se to give me focus and death whisper all the time and crits are nice but is it worth loseing 7ish% attack speed?
i solo in areas where 90% of mobs nuke for 400+ damage so stun when it works is pretty handy and cast time on it can be vital to survival
cost of ss is pretty much a non issue but im sure the sa crystal is gonna hurt abit (still waiting for my lilith raid invite)
I used SLS with Haste SA and then switched over to Keshan with Focus SA.
When i got used to Haste SA and switched to Focus i started missing Haste SA as i was so got used to that.
In the end i would choose Haste over Focus even ppl prefers Focus more. As Haste you see constant effect and with Focus it just increases possibility to Crit.
I didn't notice big difference with Focus (Im Elf)
I think Focus is waste on Blunts as they don't crit much even with it.
And readed somewhere about that ex. 120 Critical = 12% Crit chance. so 61 Critical increase would be 6.1% more crits.
But yeah i would choose Haste over Focus as its constantly in effect. (And skill usage speed up is nice bonus also)
For a blunt type weapon, Focus is imho a waste of gems and SA crystals since a blunt with Focus is in terms about the same as a sword without one= not too shabby.
Focus for Swords, Daggers is fine but on blunts, I'd go for the Haste option. You will hit more, and since blunts have high accuracy you will most often land the hit too. With focus, you would have only a slightly increased chance of critting(the chance would still be low) so the effect from Focus wouldnt show up that much.
i agree, focus isn't that great on a blunt weapon and dwarves don't even have good critical. However as a SwS I noticed TREMENDOUS difference with focus, but as a dwarf I would go haste over focus
Have you considered getting the Health SA instead ? Most people who use blunts go for the extra HP. At high level, 30% is a lot more HP, especially for dwarves. I even know Orc mages who like to use it.
