I've got teh mithril robe & stockings but no weapon nowI've got at most 6,000 left should I go kill some little things to earn the money and then go buy a really cheap weapon at TI till I have enough to up grade or shouldI sell the mithril set again and get the dev set and I still wont have enough money left over to get a better D grade weapon! that weapon alone is worth around 500k and up! What should I do?
honestly, with all the new player benefits and upgrade weapon junk, PLUS the adventurers guide FREE mid D weps available, I can't see how you could have any trouble...
What weapon are you using at the moment? I used mid ng (on my first char, way back when) till 25ish, when I could afford top ng wep.
I'd say your best bet is to re-roll an elven alt and do all the repeatable quests apparently you can make lots of money this way, then at lvl 20, delete it and do it again or keep it w/e. This is just what i've seen other people do though, could be b/s.
I am going to assume that this is not the same Tiffy on Devianne with the +16 duals. If it is, you should already know by now that you can get 500K in no time flat hunting at your level.
Now if this is a different Tiffy with a low level toon, I suggest selling the armor for as much as you can and buying a weapon first. Your nukes bare-handed will only tickle and amuse the mobs.
And keep in mind, a spellcaster should not place themselves in a position to need armor. The mobs should not touch you. One of the added bonuses of mith is increased run speed. So even if you have to use a low level weapon, at least you can kite somewhat in Mith if you have to. Mith also has higher mp, so again, if you have to kite, that's the armor to do it in. I actually equipped my Rogue in Mith for that very reason. More speed, higher mp for those arrows and dagger skills.

Since you went Elven Mithril Set, I would assume you are a Healer class (Cleric/Elven Oracle/Shillen Oracle). So since you are a healer/buffer. Use your starting weapon and find a group to heal and you wont need a weapon. If you destroyed your starter weapon, buy the 800a weapon and go find a party.
When I started my SHillen Oracle I didnt have a d grade weapon till about level 28, and then it was only the crappiest D grade weapon. I had a tears ofeva till 28...man I was poor. I just joined groups in Orc Barracks (best place to level way back then).
Thanks again I've been able to keep my mithril set and get a weapon I've been joining raids and healing my group and they all pitched in to get me a NG weapon and some NG SS which was nice of them and I've een leveling ever since thats to all of you who gave me the good advice :)
Painting yourself into a corner is exactly what you did, which was spending all your money on robes and then getting stuck being useless with no weapon. Just plan on your purchases a little more carefully next time. Fortunately for you, you can get away with a junk weapon and still heal.

Adena is not easy to get unless you get it from out of game resources. Very impressive that you were able to get the elven mithril set in such a short time and yet not know the importance of a weapon.l This post is deserving of a flame

it's a reinforcement tool, I bet this wont happen again ;) It's very important to have a weapon - one of the best things that NCSoft has done was make it so that your weapon does not drop unless you are red and have 5 or more PKs.
My toons would fight naked/without armor if they had to, but they couldn't fight without a weapon.
Well at least on the part where I pointed out that free weapons for novice are available. But then we found out Tiffy'd taken a walk on the wild (red) side. :o
Now I just keep tuning in to see how long the thread will hang around. ;)
Being helpful is subjective though. Some times a person asks a question, then gets all ticked when the answer they got wasn't what they wanted to hear.

The best thing about playing a healer is a weapon is optional. You just find a party to heal and let them do all the killing :) After all, your role is to keep them alive, not kill the mobs.
