I have a huge problem. When I log into the game and try moving my character he won't go to the cusor spot. I can open all screens but can not setup a shop or anything else.
I have tried deleting the GameGuard folder but didn't help either. What can be the problem I just can't move my character or do anything else. I can't even exit the game...
Others have reported this. Usually it occurs on only one of their characters, and usually only in Giran. Sometimes, when they log in on another character, then relog on the problem toon, it is fixed.
I have also heard of a fix involving a log to another toon, and running that toon to Giran near where the problem toon is. This loads that section of Giran into your game. Re-logging to the problem toon allows it to move.
It would seem that the game freezes while loading some graphical feature near where your toon is standing. It appears to be related to certain graphic cards/drivers, but I don't remember which one was related to the problem.
It might be a problem with your nvidia nForce network controller (if you have one). Try getting new drivers or switch to a new network card. This solved it for me and others.
The game doesn't freeze right? The problem is that you can see chat and other people move you just cannot chat or move yourself? I have had it happen randomly on any char that was in Giran, it also happened once in Dion on a very busy day. It has never happened since I switched to my on-board Realtek network controller instead of the on-board nForce controller.
This is a problem I've had all the way back to C2 in Giran. If I log in inside Giran then most times when I log back in I have the problem you are talking about. Two things I try to do.
1 always try to log out, outside of town.
2. When logging in, right after selecting your character and pressing the start button, hold down the up arrow key on the keyboard.
Other than that you just have to keep trying to re-login or try getting a GM to move your character outside of town.
