Is it a good move to stay away from Heavy armor skills if i eventually want to use duel swords as a Blade Dancer?
Also Does sword blunt mastery include duel swords?
As a BD, you will most likely be wearing heavy armor. You don't get the dual sword masteries until 40, when you start to learn your dances. Your sword and blunt masteries do not include dual swords, so you are better off using just a sword or blunt prior to 40.
get your masteries... you will use them from 20-52. after 52 be cool like me and wear doom light. (It should be noted that I don't wear doom light... but i should.)
Cool, thnx all, From what i gather there aren't any skills i'd be missing out on by not taking heavy armor mastery so from 20-40ish or more perhaps i'll rock the heavy armor then later go for light armor to increase my evasion skills .Please give feedback thnx alot again all
You'll want to max your heavy armor mastery because you will be using it both now and in the future. Wear brig plates until you are 40. After that you should either try and get Full Plate Armor, or Plated leather, which is light armor, but higher damage if you are planning on being more DD than tank. At 52+ most BDs I know go blue wolf for B grade and majestic heavy for A grade, but there are many others that work. You won't be the best tank, or DD, but those are heavy armors which give strength bonuses, so you can dish it out, and hold your ground if you do by chance pull agro (which happens often when you dance). As far as sword blunt mastery goes, it's not valuable past 40. If you are using D grade duals then it's not usefull even now. If you are using a D grade single handed sword or blunt, then go ahead and get the mastery. It will help your damage now and honestly, the SP you save by not getting it isn't very helpful in the long run.
Finally, the word duel means a fight between two individuals, wheras the word dual means consisting of two.

although u don't get the light for the evasion. I wouldn't get any light set besides doom light. (so no plated leather). It is all about the crit rate. Put doom light on a bd with focus duals, and you will be counting how many times you don't crit instead of how many time you crit.
If you are going to pvp try and keep an old fp set lieing around, or better yet a doom hevy too. As in pvp everybody>bd in light armor in pvp... but in pve, you are a god, and don't worry about pvp until you are 65+ anyway.

This is for a damage dealing BD... quick kills and if your have VR, nearly impossible to stop, excellent for soloing.
And for S grade.. get Dragonic Leather. Imperial Crusader royally blows.
Dragonic is +1str +1dex -2con +5000^ Max weight limit with nearly +250mp AND +4% Patk&AtkSpeed....
A lvl 78 Spectar Dancer in Dragonic and +4 S grade Duals is not something you want to be around.... specially with a full set of good jewelery... easily managing 7 dances, one of which stacks with VR.
