Hello Kain,Im new player and spent a few days before looking through the forums and came up with Kain server to play on.
I picked Kain because of the new player threads posted and how the vet players responded to them and were very nice and helpful so good job!!! :D The player who posted he was being PKed i lucky have not yet
I have went with dark elf but not sure if doing fighter or caster class (playing both to see which i like) Melee seems to have alot of down time.
I have 2 questions do i need to DL C4 now or should i wait, or does it auto patch like other games? If i need to DL it i went to fileplanet but it said full game DL?
Last question i cant seem to tell the lvls in mobs am i over looking something?
First off, each new chonicle or patch that comes out is automatically downloaded when you run the game. You don't need to do anything special. Since you've already been ingame, i'll assume you've gotten the C4 patch already. (otherwise you wouldn't be able to play)
Secondly, you cannot see the levels of players or monsters. You can tell how close a monster is to your own level by the color of their name. If you Click on a monster, it will either be Dark Blue, Light Blue, Green, White, Yellow, Pink, Red. They are all in order from easiest to hardest. So, White is equal to your own level +/- 3 lvls I believe. Then it goes by incriments of 3 lvls up and down respectively.
Generally, you'll want to keep hunting on Green and White mobs but sometimes light blue or yellows are a viable option. As a rule of thumb, you should stick to the mobs that are easiest for you at your level so you can fight for longer periods of time before having to rest. Just play arond with it and you'll see.
Yep, both those classes are good. Though very different from each other in thier playstyles. Either classes will be good for hunting solo. I play and archer myself, and I like the freedom to just go out and kill stuff and make decent money without having to find a group all the time. On the flip side, I find it is extremely difficult finding a group to take me if I happen to desire it.
Never played a summoner, but they look fun and I hear they have potential to make some decent cash. They are also a good solo class to play.
Yes I'm going summoner myself. If you go to the main index of the message board and go to "Player Questions" you will find one of my topics there talking about Phantom Summoners. People have provided me with information that I think you could use in making your final decision. There are only 3 things I enjoy playing right now. Nukers, summoners, and dwarfs. ^^
I haven't seen many summoners on this server. I think it would be super cool to see one in action. We had one in our clan many months ago. I thought he was awesome. He kicked bootie! Seems like it would be easy to solo as a summoner. Have your slave do all the work for you. :)
