Cant Log In From Work

Here is the problem. running L2 through SocksCap so 7777 isnt an issue. Was getting GG update errors when I connected so I nuked the GG folder and can connect fine now.
After I log in, it just sits on the Server Selection screen for a while (all status showing ping 9999) then I get "disconnected from server" error and the game closes.
Any way around this? I have seen the same problem in other posts, but not fixes for it yet. dont care if its solid lag, just want to craft and set shop.

i live at work though. pretty much at the office 12 to 16 hours a day :-) and work is for play as well. youre just jealous that they dont care, i can and you cant :-) well right now i cant :-(

If i was you i wouldn't... You already are using a proxy to try to connect, which means your trying to circumvent the block they have in place.

A person can find themselfs on the short end of a stick fast... I'd watch it.

it depends on the network.... having a proxy network doesn't nessarly mean they are doing specific port blocking or general filtering......... they may be keeping a good eye on the sites being visted cause it just a good idea...

BUT..... durring breaks at which everything resides in the building.... and there are plenty of businesses ran where roughly an hour to 2 hours of having time away from a machine or doing something else on the machine is very much aloud.... and that can and does include playing a whole array of different games.

Talk to your administrator...

the issues here are people downloading mp3's so the appropriate ports have been blocked. we use sockscap for other varios applications that cant go through our firewalls (Cisco Raptors, and ACL's on various vlans) sockscap works on all the other applications, and other games (guild wars, wow, FF) but for some reason i cant get past the server select screen on L2. I ran the network utility and get this for results:

as well, on the tracert all is fine with 100% loss on the 3rd hop. (cant supply the IP for obvious reasons)
but as far as gaming at work, lol, ppl play wow all the time here. i refuse to do so :-p
