Listen to the C4 ogg files

Hi,

just wondering but can you listen to the .ogg files in the music folder from C4?
It doesnt work for me but it worked with the C3 .ogg's so i wondered if they used another codec or whatever o_O..
They modified the OGG format slightly in order to make it unrecognized by OGG players. It is possible to modify the files to play them using a hex editor, but that modification is against the EULA. So you probably won't find it anywhere around here.
why did they protect them from listening to them o_O?
The songs are great and i was so happy in C2/C3 that they offered the music. And now they block it -_- this sucks
They are not really "protected", it is easy to play them, it is just illegal to modify the files, so people here are not allowed to tell you how to do it.
c1 music was better anyway. wish i still had c1 client.
I have a lot of the C1 music still.
This is nothing a simple codec pack can't cure.
The fix for making the C4 ogg files play, has nothing to do with a codec. As for the c1 music files, I saved them from a long time ago.
They are only using DMR protection.
But i think you can't discoss a way to unprotect DMR files in here.

That fact doesn't change anything.
I'm still hoping that the reason why they protected the files is because they are going to sell the game soundtrack thrue the DirectSong (http://www.directsong.com/) service.

But I'm not holding my breath.

Do you ever make any sense? Geez.

I hope they do a soundtrack too, a lot of it is very good. I have yet to hear anything really interesting in the new areas though.
I saved all the files, back before they were modified, in a new directory. Heheh. I can listen to them whenever I want.
Yep me too.
