Drop, i did something wrong?

Hi, i don't know if i do something wrong for drop hunting... i'm a destroyer.. with 2h sword.. (the D grade in shop).
At 40 i wanted to hunt for the dropping of the 2h sword top D.. to use it.. to speed up money and sell it to buy the base C at Luxury shop at giran.
I read in internet that the sword is dropped with high % by the Ant Queen.. i tryied.. but the guards of the queen are untochable.. that need a good party.. i have not.
So i read in internet there is also Timak Orc Warrior that drop.. at very low %.. but they drop also blades.

I though.. i'm 40.. i need money and levels.. and drop.. so why don't kill Timak Warrior to get all of that?

Well.. i kill.. and kill.. and kill.. and kill again.. only Timak Warrior.. i do 4 levels... from 40 to 44.. killing those **** Timak warriors... i got only 1 blade as drop.. and many stupid amulets for warcryers and overlord that no one buy.
Oh yes.. also keys for treasure box.. (some adena more).

I understant % are very low for the full drop... ok.. but also for blades?
I mean.. in 4 levels (40 to 44) i got only one blade... how can people build things? or get some decent drop? only for luck?

After all this killing of timak.. i leave them... if i see a timak again i'll go crazy... i went to the isle of alligator.. i kill one.. and bam.. light armour D as a drop. At first kill.

What i did wrong?
You didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes you get two full drops in a row (more likely at lower levels, but still pretty unlikely) sometimes you go from 1 to .. high level without getting one single full drop (heard of people which this happened to). It's all about luck.
lvl 45 atm and i havent gotten a full drop of any kind........ not even a jewel.
Welcome to the wonderful world of L2 item drops. Like the poster above said, you did not do anything wrong. The drops ARE rare (although you really seem to have had bad luck). If you want key materials to craft an item, going for a mob which just DROPS the materials is not a good idea. Ideally, you should grab a bounty hunter and hunt a mob which SPOILS the materials. In your case, try the Blade Staccato Workers in Garden of Eva - they are supposed to spoil those blades. Spoils are a MUCH faster way of getting items.

Add in the time it takes to make a BH and equip them, then it is about them same...
Dont try to get drops from mobs, let the drops come to you...
I think you should NEVER rely on a 0.00001% chance to get a drop, it will just make you mad and waste your time...
I never killed any mob just to get a drop and I have right now 2 bluckskin boots, 1 gloves (mid d i think), 1 high ng sword, 1 mid d jewel and a plate shield!!! And i never hunted for drops
I have a lvl 63, 51, 45, 44, and a level 43 charater. Out of all of them I have gotten 1 Mithril Gaiters, 1 Sword of Revolution, 1 Top D Fist Weapon, 1 mid-range D Dagger, and 3 D Helms. I've been playing for over a year. I've found that you cannot rely on getting something that you need as a drop.
I haven't gotten a full drop since Chronicle 2.
Although it is satisfying to gather the key mats for an item and craft it, it can take too long, as in your case. What you really need is adena.

At 40, you were able to start the coin of magic quest, given by Sorient in the Warehouse of Hunters Village. You need to kill one level 55 or 53 harit lizardman (matriarch or shaman) and you will need some help for that. But once done (and you get the Kaliss Coin, and give it to Sorient (NOT Bernard!)) you will get your coin collector license.

When you have that, various mobs will drop coins (Gold, Silver and Blood) which can be sold for adena (2.5k, 3k, 15k usually.) Go back to the Timaks and kill the Timak Orc Soldiers, since they give the Blood Medusa coins.

Had you done this and targeted the Soldiers from lvl 40 to 44, you would be swimming in adena. It is not too late to do it now. The Timak Shamans also give the Blood coins.

Once you have enough adena, you can probably simply buy the Claymore, or the C grade Flamberge. You are correct to get a 2-handed weapon, since as a destroyer, both your Sword-Blunt masteries and your Two-Handed Weapon masteries will stack!

Once you have the Flamberge, you can use the Seven-Signs dungeons to get Ancient Adena, and use that to exchange your Flamberge for Berserker Blade via Mammon. ( I haven't done this myself, so Im not sure if it is the Blacksmith of Mammon, or the Trader of Mammon who does this.)
Very thanks for the answers. Knowing to not use the drop-hunting approach is like a freedom.. was going crazy. :)
Well you can see my date of joining.I got a D-grade spear(the 700-800k one) +2 d grade gloves (dont remember them-just got them crushed) +enough matts to get 1 EMG crafted(40-44 on IT crator sold them for 900k) +composite boots from taik orc supply(52 lvl) and after that a theca upper light armor(at 60+) sold at 1m.Ive gotten 5 milions for 1 night selling proofs of fishing when C4 started-----this means that drops are kinda useless no?You can make a bunch of money by other means (80 kails silver basilisks per day x25k=2m profit :p)
The trick here is to farm mobs that are "white" to you, if you went through 4 levels those mobs were probably turning blue to you?

Also, the chances of you farming 100% of the mats needed are slim to none. You should just hunt where you can kill easily then sell/trade your drops to buy the ones you need.

I've been playing this game nearly two years, and have NEVER farmed 100% of the mats for even a piece of jewelry (jewelry is a much easier craft, than a weapon).

I would recommend joining a clan and working with them to get your weapon. Chances are you have accumulated items that they would need, and they may have accumulated the blades that you need. This is not a solo-type game, and sooner or later you will have to rely on other people.
I dare to disagree you can solo all the way to 75/75 without a clan (but this IS pointless-its MMO after all :p) The matts arent so hard with manor, and the keymats you can buy if you got enough adena(just hunt the mobs that give the most adena per kill and buy everything you need). This would take atleast 1 reroll however. The A and S grade are a little diff though-60% craft only which is TRULY LAME but oh well-its the same chance for everyone (whole clan and solo player).
look at my toon listing! in all those levels the only wep drop above ng that I have gotten has been a saber out of opeing a chest.

If you want full drops raid bosses and boss mobs are the way to go. Ant queen will give you a ton of nice drops if you can organize the 50-100 people to kill her. Antharas drops value in the billions. And if you can kill that Ant queen I am sure the special jewl she gives will get you enough money to be fully equipped with top grade D,C,B and probably A as well. Those special jewl peices I am guessing will be sold from 500million to 1 billion easy and I think thats priced low!

Back to the orcs the probability of the wep dropping as a full is something like .005 or so I bet not good at all. I suggest you get two - four parties and go for raid bosses around your level you should get some decent items. Most allainces have every day raid hunting where instead of grinding all night together they form up big groups and hunt several raid bosses at once. I know last night on my server my alliance did one raid boss and got a S grade sword.
Never wait for full drops. Buy stuff when you can, gather materials and use afk shops to help you get them faster if it's not directly available.

Full drops are intentionally designed to be exceptionally rare. As much as it is inconvenient to the individual player, this is actually good design.

Normally, players spend months per grade range. For those months of play, they will need 5 jewels, 4 or 5 pieces of armor, and one weapon. If it took someone, say, 5 months for the B-grade range, that would mean that if they found 2 full items in an entire month, they would almost completely nullify the value of material drops and the warsmith class.

So, already, one per month appears to be the highest drop rate that won't spoil the rest of the game's design. It gets worse though--the good items persist, which means the rate needs to go even lower. So maybe one drop per two months? I'm speculating at that number, of course.

I do get full item drops at a higher rate than one per two months, but only a small fraction of those are actually useful to me. With item drops normally being 10-20 levels below the monster dropping them, most items are just crush-and-forget.
yeah, you abslutely CANNOT hunt for your own stuff. keymats or full drops is just impossible. by the time the mobs that drop the stuff get into range, you've already gone up a grade level.

well, that isn't EXACTLY true, but it holds true more over than not.
I'm mid 60s and I haven't got a single weapon drop.

Had you done this and targeted the Soldiers from lvl 40 to 44, you would be swimming in adena. It is not too late to do it now. The Timak Shamans also give the Blood coins.

I leveled my SR on Timaks from 44-47. Blood drops were quite fine for me as I managed to get about 350 bloods in those 3 levels.
