Well I decided to try 3boxing, and see how it works.
I play a SH'er as the main char and a Prophet + SE as slaves.
The prophet + SE'er are 100% macro controlled, and I'v set the 3 windows-mode L2 "shifted" so I can always change quickly between them.
Actually some guy saw me yesterday and screamed "booooot", because he just coulden understand how it was possible to buff with 2 chars at the same time as the SH'er was attacking.
Also at an other scenarie the prophet casts root on the mob and followed up by melee, at the same time the SE'er starts healing the Prophet and the SH'er nuked at a distance......
All looks very much like a bot, but its pure macro control :)
My point is using good and functional macros can really ease 2/3boxing a lot.... and even confuse oter players :)
Does any one of you guys have any experience/advice concerning 3boxing?
one of my clannies does it, his computers aren't as good as yours though winds up that his BH works fine and his SE and EE are just kinda there for show and PR.
I regularly run 3 accounts but I spread them over 2 PCs. I have the SE on my spare PC and control her with macros and a Nostromo.
On my main PC I run the prophet and a melee/archer. The prophet is only really needed once every 20 minutes so I switch to him, buff the party up and then stick him on autofollow.
As the SE is on a box all on her own I can heal/root/sleep/windshackle to my hearts content.
And yes, some people do think I'm a bot, as indicated by the odd trail of 1 adenas that I find. Sometimes I pick them up just to make people happy.
As far as I am concerned, I can screenshot all of my clients (with their relevant macro bars open) and that should be enough proof if I were ever to get petitioned.

If I use a Nos, on the PC and I have 2 clients running, will the Nos then change window(between the clients) or can it do it's macro-control, without changing client window.
That would sure be nice, today, I have to change screen between the 3 clients, to activate the proper macros.
My se is on the poor computer... my necro is on my main on the secondary monitor... and I have cs running on main monitor ;)
i die a lot when i try to mix cs+l2... blitz the other team... kill 3 people... die... switch to l2... kill 5 mobs... round 2 starts... switch back to cs... repeat.... ok I only did this once, but it the closest I ever came to 3 boxing as I only have 2 accounts :(

I use a Nostromo to control my 2nd PC. As far as using it on a single PC, I don't think there's a way to make it choose which of the 3 windows you want to use. You might be able to get it to do Alt-Tab, but that's not going to let you choose a window.
I have mine set up to each of the 12 F keys, and I use the D pad to choose between AltF1-F4 so I can switch hotbars. It's pretty straightforward, but with the proper macro's I have pretty mucha full range of motion on my second PC and I hardly touch the mouse or keyboard at all.

SH'er :
- Points out targets, do the main thing.
- Nuke tha bastard
- Panicsleep, if something goes wrong.
Prophet(Battle Prophet, Full Plate Set + SLS)
- Buff (Full Mage buff for SH, and Full fighter buff for Prophet, and low defencive buff for SE)
- Cast Root(using assist macro, from the SH'er target)
- Go into melee(using assist macro, from the SH'er target)
- heal SH'er/self/SE if needed.
- Sometime I even use "Peace" to ease the agry mobs a little :)
SE:
- Buff the SH, mainly Empower, and when reached lvl30, VR for the Prophet.
- Heals Prophet and SH'er
- Regen MP for SH'er...... when SE are in lvl30 :)

No Problem, I use 3 accounts, 3 computers with 3 screen. Work nice with macro. You need some dextery, but It gave you great possibility. Don't need all the time to be with a party!

YES!!!...... and 3boxing gets better everyday......
The more I use it the more I get trained in "the fine art of 3boxing" :)
Actually It was my 3 account I used to do some extra trading with. I was considering closing it but thought "hey lets try 3boxing and lets see if it is possible at all"
NOW I see a major advantage by using 3boxing, so I doubt that I will ever learn to play without again :)
Actually, when hunting Tenor Silenos Groups (the Sharman Groups) I fire off one Tempest + one Flame strike, and the group is down. My lvl35+ SO(not SE.... I was wront in my earlier threat) gets 2600-3000 XP, my SH'er gets like 5000-6000 XP and my prophet also 5000-6000 XP.
Also when I do the buff-macros for the Prophet, I also do a BtM macro with the SH'er and a heal-macro with the SO.
So when new round starts, I have full nuker MP, full SO+Prophet buff and 3/4 MP for the SO.
It's **** NICE!!!!!
So in 4 hours or so, I get 1 lvl for my lvl48+ SH, 1 lvl for my lvl48 Prophet and like 1,5 lvl with my SO :) :) :)
Before the Chronicle has hit 4... I was 4-Boxing...
But with C4 the game constantly crashes on me if I try to...
2 PCs, 3 Screens, 2 Mouse, 2 Keyboards :)
1. Account on Fullscreen on main PC (SK, SH or BH)
2. Account minimized on main PC (PP/SE)
3. + 4. Account on Second PC windowed (SE/SwS/BD)
It's all about alt-tab-macroing...
Though, atm, I just 2-box with SK+SE on 2 PCs, both fullscreen
and with shiny graphics ;)
