Got a quick question about dual weapons, Im wanting to be a BD when i hit 40 and someone just told me all the thigns i've trained, like power hit is useless because they dont work with dual swords. looking at the BDs skills they get something with a description similar called sting, can I use sting with dual swords? if not [censored] is the point of dual swords when I cant use any skills with them?
Yes sting works with duals. Powerhit is a single sword skill.
To be honest from 1-40 you get no dual sword skills, you will do more damage with a single sword...ELS is best...than cheapy D-duals...unless you can get them to +10. Then switch to duals at lvl 40 after class change.

You will not run out of skill points. You keep getting them.
Some players fret over skill points and I've never understood why. Sure... you might not get every single skill as soon as you are eligible but you also don't need every single skill.
And to give you an example... at the moment I have 3.5 millioin skill points. Had I trained up all my skills at lvl 20 I would still have close to 3.5 million skill points. so don't worry about lower lvl skills as long as you are going to use them.
If you can't ever see yourself using something then just don't bother.
1) Just delvl, that includes you putting all your valuables into the WH so they dont drop when you let the guards kill you. This allows you to lose a few lvls so you can grind for more Xp but you dont lose your SP so its effecient way to make extra SP.
2) There is SP scrolls you buy off private shops they cost adena, or you can enter the festivel and use your seal stones you gather to buy the SP scrolls yourself.
So anytime you feel the need that you cant progress either if you cant buy new grade gear or no SP just delvl and farm adena until your ready to take the next step.
Also grab hex skill after you lvl past 40 its one of the most useful skills you will get besides your dances and the book for hex can be found off mobs under the ivory tower.
From 20 to 40, the only skills that will eventually be "wasted" are your sword/blunt and shield masteries.
Really from 20-40, whatever weapon you want to use is fine. Top D sword/blunt is best, but costs 50% more than top d-duals, and with either you should be able to level up quickly.
Regardless of which route you go, powerstrike will soon enough disappear forever from your skillbar. It's for 5-20, until your sting kicks in.
